Flex those muscles
Review of Slendertone Flex by
water-witch
Advantages: No trailing wires, discreet, easy and quick to put on
Disadvantages: bit expensive
...The Slendertone flex is the latest in slendertone's range of faradic exercisers. The one I have is for the abdominals although they also now have a flex for the bum and thighs which you wear like a pair of shorts.
The tummy one is great. I have had 5 children and a bad back so the usual round of sit ups and crunches are no longer feasible for me. I have previously had the earlier ones with pads and trailing wires, but frankly they are a pain in the neck (should that be stomach!) to set up.Initially I was put off buying this product by the cost. Mine was £145 although I think they vary a bit. However, I watched a really good demo on QVC and that convinced me to spend the money!
The new version is a wide neoprene belt with the contacts concealed. There are three sticky pads, one goes over your tummy button and one to either side between...

On my way to a Britney stomach?!
Review of Slendertone Flex by
grapesoda
Advantages: Cheaper than the gym... and it works!
Disadvantages: Replacing the pads
...I've never really believed in these belts. In the adverts they always use these perfect models, with totally flat abs to model for them and that always seemed kinda cheesy for me! But, you know, time was short for me. I'm always working or studying and I do like excersise, I regularly cycle and swim but it really wasn't doing much for my stomach. And me, being too busy to find time to do sit ups I thought the Slendertone Flex might provide me with a soluition to my wobbly tum!
--- So how much does it retail for? ---
I'd say the price varies where you look. On the Slendertone website the current price is 69.99. But I'm sure if you browze ebay you can find a better deal. I purchased mine from amazon for around 55 pounds which I thought was pretty reasonable.
-- OK so I don't want to walk around the house looking silly now, do i? What...

Flat belly anyone?
Review of Slendertone Flex Max Female Toning Belt by
bugsy121
Advantages: Comfortable, discreet, delivers results that can be seen from early use
Disadvantages: Initial purchase cost
...though. People are already beginning to notice my new toned figure and I was most impressed that I was able to fit into a pair of 28" jeans last night which I haven't done for a LONG time ~ even when I had my other BW belt!!
I'm so impressed by the Slendertone FM that I have invested in the toning shorts as well which do bums and thighs, as I am very conscious of the amount of wobbly bits I have that I always cover up. I am due to collect it tomorrow as I was out when they tried to deliver it, but I will post a review up here of them once I have had a bit of use and also update you on how the FM is going.
In terms of FM prices, they vary depending on where you buy them. I bought mine direct from Amazon for about £85, but they are on the Slendertone site for £99 or slightly cheaper on eBay. I would definitely advise doing a bit of price...

Want to look good from behind?
Review of Slendertone Flex BT Female Toning Shorts by
bugsy121
Advantages: tones the bum&thigh area, fits easily under jeans
Disadvantages: small pads repeatedly curl and stick together
...Did you know there are several groups of muscles in your bum and thigh area that all contribute towards the way your legs are shaped and how you walk? Well no neither did I until I started using the Slendertone Bum and Thigh (BT) shorts. The day after using these shorts I could certainly feel where these muscles were located! I've only had these shorts a few days, but I bought these shorts as an accompaniment to the Flex Max belt, and as promised in my FM review, here are my first impressions of the BT shorts.
For those who aren't aware of Slendertone or the EMS craze, then I will briefly bring you up to speed. EMS is Electric Muscle Stimulation and Slendertone provide a range of body toning garments that use EMS. EMS basically stimulates your muscles to contract and relax as they would during exercise, however, you don't have to put...

Slendertone System Abs For Men
Review of Slendertone System Abs Male Toning Belt by
Dave1369
Advantages: actually works within 2 weeks!
Disadvantages: money
...The Slendertone System Abs Belt is a very good device for getting rock hard abs. Not to sound too much like an advert here, I will tell you that the belt itself is very expensive, however if money is of no limit in buying a fitness belt, then this is the 1 to go for. I have tried many others such as the Maximuscle belts which only twitch your muscle fibres and do not actually benefit you in any way what so ever. Slendertone have been around for a while now and know what they are doing. Taking all of this into account, please remember that abs do not come through a vibrating belt. This is only help towards your perfect abs. Your diet and fitness regime must still remain healthy and active in order to prosper from this device.
On a personal experience note, I have used this myself and saw result in 2 weeks. You will notice that you can do...

Am I interfering with the telly .... question mark
Review of Slendertone Flex by
mumagain
Advantages: Firmer, flatter tummy, a better shaped body, tones up and has given me more confidence in myself
Disadvantages: Having to replace the pads, battery powered and the cost
...ones) would probably result in it becoming damaged in some way thus becoming an un-usable, non functioning expensive source for our children’s amusement and entertainment (although it would probably give us 5 minutes peace and quiet like most things that capture the attention of our children, giving them pleasure and fulfilment, aww bless em).
So after a bit more reading and browsing through the different types of toning equipment available to consumers like me, the only one we found that I felt suited to my sometimes hectic lifestyle and needs was the Slendertone Flex Abdominal Training System (Slendertone F.A.T.S for short, hahahahaha). The description, picture and information relating to the product sounded like the dogs (rhymes with) wollocks, with it sounding almost too good to be true, the only thing that wasn’t appealing...

Bottom and Thigh Toning System
Review of Slendertone Electric Muscle Stimulator by
nikki_leeds
Advantages: It does work and you can achieve a more toned bottom & thighs
Disadvantages: Very pricey and fiddly
...*******Update********
I have been using this for about 3 months now, and it definitely has worked. My thighs and bottom are much firmer now. Before i used this i hated my legs, but now they look great.
For about 10 weeks i used this machine every day, but now i am using it less frequently (2-3 days a week).
**end of update**
I bought this about 4-5 weeks ago, and i must admit it is working (and so it should for the price i paid for it (£179.99)).
The Bottom & Thigh Toning System (BT) are shorts, designed for the female figure. The shorts sizes fits UK dress size 10 to 20, European dress size 38 to 48.
When first starting you have to place adhesive pads (included in the pack) onto the metal bits inside the shorts (1 on each bottom cheek and 1 each on the back and front legs), these conduct signals from the unit to your muscles...

Never Been Stiff
Review of Slendertone Flex by
freebie-fan
Advantages: Flatter belly, more toned tummy
Disadvantages: Quite expensive outlay, pads expensive to replace.
...OK, I succumbed to the SlenderTone Flex Max.... 'Sure' I thought, get a better body by doing nothing! I honestly imagined it to be another one of those 'No need to exercise' scams, except this one actually works!
OK, the idea behind the SlenderTone system, is that you wear a belt that simply sends electrical pulses to your abdominal muscles which in turn react by contracting and relaxing. The result is that your muscles are exercised even when you are sitting in front of the TV with a cup of coffee watching EastEnders!
Before I bought this product, I did actually have faith in it, as the idea behind it is similar to treatment you receive after a cartlidge or knee operation (speaking from experience). The intensity of the pulses are controlled by the user as each person has different thresholds, but it is not painful, its like having...

bring on the bikini!
Review of Slendertone FLEX Ladies by
charlotte_thomas
Advantages: works the muscles, comfortable to wear
Disadvantages: instruction book basic, need to buy replacement pads and batteries
...Slendertone Flex Ladies Toning Belt
I have seen slendertone products in stores for years but didn't really know much about them. I am not overweight but have what I refer to as 'jelly' just in my lower abs area! This is the side effect of having a baby that four years on I am still left with. Having lost the excess weight some time ago it really is just the 'jelly' that is the problem and not a weight issue! The best way to tone up my abs is stomach toning exercises such as sit-ups, which I do do, but with a hectic life like mine I simply don't have the time to do enough to make a significant difference and I have got to the point where I just want to see results!!! So I looked into slendertone products and discovered that there is a wide and varied range available, some of the products are pretty expensive (£100+) and you can work...
