After catching up and having a rant about the most common crap things in life we wanted something good to watch. Sliding Doors has been out for over ten years and we have watched it about twenty times but it is still really good, and one of those films you can watch however many times. We do actually own the film on VHS somewhere which shows how old it is. I remember first watching it on TV though a few years ago. There are some recognisable actors involved and I quite like Gwyneth Paltrow. I think she is a very good actress and even though she does not appear in big blockbusters, all her films are soft and well performed. Advantages: Reliable, good many features, simple to use

Sliding Back In To The Mobile Generation

Advantages: Does the basics very well. Great looks and form factor.
Disadvantages: Easily scratched.

... Making and receiving calls is simple. The keypad is a nice size, even for stodgy fingers like mine and I find it easy to use. The phone allows you to assign a photo to each contact, so not only can you read who is calling you, you can see them at a glance as well. You can also assign specific ring tones to specific contacts (in my case, my wife) so you don?t even have to look at the screen to know who is calling. There may be a few of you rolling your eyes at this point (as in DOH! What did he expect?), but for me, this is a very useful and practical advance on my old (yes ? REALLY old) previous phone. When receiving calls, you can set up the phone to answer when you slide it open, or leave it so you have to press the answer key. I prefer the latter, even though it involves an extra step, because my natural inclination is to slide it open when...

...'t look anything special but once you see the screen all lit up you realize it's actually quite good. The screen is very sharp and this is the bit that initially impressed me the colours are so bright and clear, compared to my previous phone it looks so much more up to date and smart. When the phone is closed you can just see the screen and below that 4 buttons and a big button in the middle, the 2 lower buttons are the standard green and red buttons that are on most phones to answer and finish calls. The only problem with the screen I can find is if you look at it in the sun light it actually looks dull and more black and white than the normal clear and sharp. To get all the other number buttons you just slide the screen up this is very easy and doesn't seem to get stuck, when you do this the buttons also all light up. I must also add that...

...required. One minor niggle for me is that the large screen always seems to be grubby, either greasy from being against my ear or covered in finger prints. The package of items with the phone included what I take to be a lead to connect it to a tv (to view video clips and photos?), a USB cable to help you to sync it with your pc/laptop, and headphones which act as antenna if you want to listen to the radio on it. Along with the obvious charger, SIM, mini SD, and battery. The only thing you might want to get which isnt included is a bluetooth headset if you need the phone while driving, but is any phone call really that important? I got this free as an upgrade but you could be asked to pay anything up to around £170 on Orange pay as you go. Overall Im impressed by the 6500 slide, it has retained the simplicity I like from a Nokia...

It follows the life of helen (actress Gwyneth Paltrow) Who works in PR and lives with her writer boyfriend, unbeknown to helen her boyfriend gerry (actor John Lynch) Is cheating on her with an ex girlfriend, Helen goes to work as normal but gets sacked due to sexist male employees!
