...Well, had the slim for a few weeks now (my 1st ever playstation), personally, I'm a little underwhelmed by it, I've been a gamer since the nintendo game & watch days & owned @ least 1 of the current gen consoles since the Mega Drive(Genesis).
Graphically the system has the potential to wipe the floor with the 360, but this is really only going to apply to PS3 exclusives as any software house making a multi-platform game is going to be as cost effective (lazy) as possible & use the same graphics on all the games where possible(ok, they need to dumb them down for the Wii). My problem here is that I have yet to get a game for it that runs in 1080P, they all seem to be in 720P! Why???? I'm sure they are out there, but I haven't found one yet. I guess this is down to most HD tv's being HD ready rather than Full HD.

I decided a few weeks ago that it was time that I moved with the times and treated myself to an MP4 player. As a part-time dance teacher I have to cart about an inordinate array of CD, tapes and CD players, along with all my dancing gear, so I decided to buy myself a decent player and docking station so I could put all my dancing music on, therefore reducing the amount of stuff I carry and also saves me leaving important CDs at home!
I've been looking for a while at various players and I thought I had settles on an IPOD however, one day whilst browsing in my local Boots store I saw a good docking station at a reasonable price, and I had enough advantage card points to buy it, great I thought. ~~~ Games ~~~
For 99% of people this will be the key area that the console has to perform in - and it does. I've played a wide variety of games on it since I bought it including FIFA, Call of Duty, Assassins Creed 2 and various demos. All of these play very smoothly and the graphics are of a very good high-definition quality.
I can see no difference between the performance of the original 'Phat' models and the 'Slim' model.
~~~ Blu-Ray Player ~~~
So far the only Blu-Ray movie I have watched on the 'Slim' is Transformers 2. I have watched parts of it on both a stand-alone Blu-Ray player and on the original PS3 and again I can see no difference.
The picture quality is very bright...

I joined slimming world in April 2001 and reached my ideal weight in February 2002 and became a target member. This was achieved by attending every week, and learning about how to eat healthy..... As a target member I can recomend slimming world as the best way to loose weight....

Advantages: Excellent choice in food Disadvantages: £4.50 per week and a £10 joining fee
...I have been a memeber of slimming world since september 2007 and i am still attending every wee which for me is an achievement in itself. Slimming world is a slimming club that you pay a weekely fee to attend this fee is £4.50 which can become quite expensive but they do offer count down packages where you pay for your weeks in advance and can get weeks for free.
For me i joined slimming world after I gained lots of weight after having my son and also through a diet of mainly high fat, high sugar foods which i am now not ashamed to admit. Life for us was pretty much one big takeaway so in september I decided that I needed to do something about it so off i went to my local group in Barry.
Upon arriving at my group I was made so welcome my consultant was a wonderfuly bubbly lady who made me laught, she didnt judge me and didnt make...

Review of Slimming World
Advantages: Good way to lose weight, Support groups to help, Motivated and Enthusiastic Leaders Disadvantages: It is thought to be expensive, but you are getting a lot of support.
...Being overweight for a few years now, I decided to try Slimming World to help. Being in my early 20's, I want to look and feel healthy! I'd tried other diets before, and the weight came off, but as soon as I stopped going to the meetings it all piled back on.
I decided to go to Slimming World as 2 other women where I work had started the week before. From what they said it sounded simple and so I went along.
The meetings are weekly, and living in Southampton, there were loads of meetings to choose from. They have them most days of the week and at different times, so you can choose when and where you go.
Going with friends has been really good for me. As quite a shy person, I probably wouldn't go on my own, so its a good thing to have people you know with you. Saying that, I was shocked that there were about 30 people...

Advantages: very powerful, multifunctional console Disadvantages: No real price cut

The key improvements in the PS3 Slim are the 120GB hard drive, up from 40GB, 60GB and 80gb in previous UK versions and making it slimmer has made it 36 per cent lighter, 33 per cent smaller and it consumes at least 34 per cent less power (for you know worry about you electricity bills).
The PS3 Slim represents a new console just in time for x-mas, one that could start to make sony some profit because up to this is due to the vast majority of PS3 sold so far (around 24 million of them) have been sold at a loss. However, new manufacturing procedures have changed this recently, and a redesigned 45nm Cell processor along with other similarly small and power efficient components...
Advantages: Steady, sustainable weight loss, plenty of encouragement, excellent value Disadvantages: Success still requires willpower and dedication!

Slimming World has changed my life. That's not a flippant, wishful statement - it's a fundamental truth. ...It got to thestage where I had to do something about my weight. I had finished working, and got a bit lethargic at home all day, hence the weigt piled on. I saw an ad for Slimming World in the local shop, and it was held just along the road from where live. I plucked up courage and went along to the group, on the Tuesday evening. I was welcombed warmly by everybody, and listened to the introductory talk. It all souded very good, but a little unbelievable. They were saying that you could lose 4/7 pounds a week!! I needed to lose 3 stone, and if that was the case, it wouldn't take too long to get it off. So I joined, and the following week, lo and behold lost 6 lbs. Amazing.
