You experience the most important time of the year in a WWE Superstar's life, you get to choose between, Triple H, Chris Jericho, John Cena, The Undertaker, and CM Punk, or you play Batista & Rey Mysterio in a co-operative mode, and try and become tag team champs. These storylines brings you up close to the superstars, and lets you experience what it's like to be at the biggest event of the year, Wrestlemania! In career mode, I found it a lot easier to unlock things, the season don't really last very long. In one way, that may not be such a bad thing, because, you will have more time to play around with the unlockables, create superstars, and play matches. ...Smackdown vs Raw 2008 is the best wrestling game to date with much improved graphics, sound and gameplay. Over the years the smackdown series have failed to live up to the hype and expectations of wwe fans like myself. But this years edition is much more improved with the addition of ecw, 24/7 mode and hall of fame mode. But thats not all the biggest improvement of all is the fighting styles. Each wrestler has their own abilities. The abilities can be a showman, dirty, high-flying, hardcore, powerhouse, technical, submission or brawler. ...WWE Smackdown Vs RAW 2007 PS2 I bought this for my son the other day. Well sort of true, I wanted it as much as he did. First thing I noticed was they have changed the controls from the previous versions. It uses a new "Analogue control system". It's not easy in the beginning but after a while you pick it up. There is an option at the beginning showing you all the new way to use the "Analogue control system". The moves are made by the sticks, the left is for moving the wrestler and the right is for grappling etc. A small tip if you're not happy with the new system if you go to the options for changing your setup and go to controller and choose "type d" it goes back to the old buttons as in WWE 2006 :). Smackdown Vs Raw (Ps2) Not All That Impressive

Advantages: Good Graphics, Intelligent Gameplay
Disadvantages: Little Backstage Options, Season mode CRAP

...The graphics are amazing, the last wrestling game I played was Smackdown 2. But unfortunately for Smackdown Vs Raw, Smackdown 2 was much better! Let me explain: 1) Season mode is farr too easy and is finished very fast, if you restart season mode its basically the same story each time whatever superstar you use. 2) You cannot go backstage in matches! 3) theres less stuff you can do like its more difficult to put people through announcers tables 4) Backstage there is only 1 backstage place you can play thats the car park which is good but far too limited. It is a wrestling game based on the WWE programming, made by Yukes and published by THQ. The game has been released on the PS2, PS3, PSP, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS, the later two of these have entirely different builds to the game and have few similarities to the review on this, the Playstation 3 version of the game.
