...The Smeg DWF41FS is in my opinion a great performing dishwasher. Its fairly easy to use and compact. We fill the machine right up before any usage, thus giving us great economy. Being a slimline dishwasher you would believe it would lacking in space. It is quite the contrast, if we had a full size version, I doubt we would ever fill it right up before running out of plates, bowls and cutlery. I runs very quietly, and has several different types of programmes. Being silver it matches the rest of the kitchen, and looks very smart. There is not anything tacky or cheap looking, on the machine. The filter inside is made of stainless steel, not plastic like many other brands. Smeg DFC 410 Dishwasher - Just walk away quickly

Advantages: Washes well, as quiet as any.
Disadvantages: Difficult to use in almost all respects. Slow. Too many beeps. No delayed start.

The cutlery basket only fits in one position (and not very securely) so that limits where other things can go. There are some versatile racks on the top shelf, but with the top rack at the higher position (which is essential for fitting plates in the bottom) these are of limited use, and our knives keep falling over in the knife racks. There seems to be no safe way to stack wine glasses anywhere, (they fall over).
