**The Product**
This is a user friendly cordless home phone system which in my opinion, is an excellent product for upgrading from a 'corded' phone. Cordless phones make it possible to make and receive calls in and around the house, rather than limiting users to a phone attached to a socket.
You do not need any extra phone socket wiring for the additional handsets and the system is simple and fairly easy to use. The phones are comfortable to hold and the range is very good. The buttons are easy to use and for the price this system is very good.
I paid in the region of £65 for the system from Amazon, around 15 months ago.

...With the cost of mobiles these days whether on a contract or pay as you go deals. The internet can be a solution to all us text maniacs out there.
As I discovered WWW.SMS.AC my first thought was great a simple website address to remember that memory of mine couldn?t take in any complicated. Co.uk?s or. Uk.org!
Of course there is always the simple solution to this just add it to my favorites but I?m not always using the same computer so this wouldn?t help!
SMS.AC web page is quite bland looking nothing really stands out when you arrive apart from the SMS.AC logo, which is in four different colours at the top of the page.

...Incase you didn't know, an SMS gateway works like this:
SMS from my PC-->SMS gateway-->SMSCentre(o2 etc)-->mobile phone

I use SMS from the internet to send messages to my friends and relatives instead of using my mobile phone. I started off using free sms from yahoo, lycos and uboot, but it was really unreliable and most of the time the message appeared to be from a funny number instead of from my mobile. Also I would ask people if they got my messages as they hadn't replied and they would say that they didn't receive anything from me. Another thing that annoyed me was that most of the time the websites added a 'tag' which advertised their company, this meant that half the message I was sending had already gone. Even when I sent test messages to myself the quickest a message came through...

...Why pay to send SMS messages people asked. Everyone was fed up with paying up to 12p to send SMS messages so breathe.com set up a free SMS sending site. This was great apart from the fact you had to join up and it also took a while for the SMS messages to arrive at the recipients phone. To solve this Lycos UK set up a SMS service which was free and did not require signup. People were happy for a while untill someone asked. "Why can't we recieve them online as well?" Well now you can. ICQ 2000b has its own SMS messaging service that now allows you both send and recieve online SMS messages! YOu can also have default signatures and send to both UK and international phones!!! ICQ is free, but it does require signup, yet it features so many other fantastic features. ...I have been using this site for two months now and have come a bit addicted to it. It's kind of a pain to always need to go the web to send to my smsClubs and groups, but I find myself doing it every day. I contacted their customer service and was informed that there is supposedly going to be full mobile functionality and a WAP version of their site. It will be much better then.
If you like to flirt around, I would highly recommend smsFlirt. I usually get a response rate of about 50%, which is really high in comparison to many other dating sites or services. I have had several dates using SMS.ac, some good (some bad). However, it works and beats going to a club and spending 50 pounds in order to meet someone.

.... The buttons themselves are quite small in size, so if you are like me and have small hands and fingers it is perfect but you have big hands then you may have some difficulty with the buttons. There is a red and green telephone button which is for answering and ending calls which is commonplace with most telephones and a menu to allow you to scroll through the telephone options to change the ring tone, volume of the ringer, your SMS messages and so on.
When I bought my handsets within the box I got two bases, two telephones, all of the wires I needed and the user manual which I haven't even begun to read properly yet, but it is set out with picture diagrams so that I don't have to sit confused trying to figure out how something works.
