My most recent purchase was a pre-owned copy of Shaun White Snowboarding: Road Trip for the Nintendo Wii. Up until now, these games have been operated purely through the keyboard on a PC, but the latest developments in technology have seen Shaun White?s snowboarding come to the market. This snowboarding game uses the Wii Balance Board to simulate the snowboard. You position the snowboard length ways, and turn by leaning left and right on the board. Leaning forward speeds you up, whereas leaning back will slow you down. To jump, you bend your knees and straighten your legs at the right point. ...When I saw this game in my local games shop I wasn't impressed by its outward appearance, however the price was right and they didn't have anything else appealing so I bought it and was pleasantly surprised. The basic premise behind the game is that you race on your snowboard through 8 different courses at first(bonus courses awarded when these are completed) doing tricks along the way to win money in order to buy more boards. There are 6 characters to chose from who all look rather cute until they are on their board and armed with weapons such as bombs in order to nobble the competition.
