Fox in Socks

...A few weeks ago my nephews and niece came to sleep at my house, my youngest nephew wanted me to read a story before he went to bed and Fox in Socks by Dr Seuss was the one he picked. I gave him a choice of Dr Seuss books but he chose this one, as he'd never heard it before. Dr Seuss (pseudonym of Theodor Seuss Geisel) was born on 2nd March 1904 and died on 24th September 1991. During his lifetime he wrote nearly 50 children's books. He was probably most famous for The Cat in the Hat, which has also been made into a film. The whole book is written in rhyme which I think makes it more enjoyable for the children listening. The general story line is Mr Fox is trying to get Mr Knox to lots of different tongue twisters but poor Mr Knox just cannot get his tongue around them (I don't blame him - I found some of them pretty difficult...

Bliss Sock Salve - It smells nice and gives you soft feet!

Advantages: It smells so nice and it really does work wonders on dry and aching feet.
Disadvantages: It's made by Bliss, which is a very expensive range.

...I'm a huge fan of the Soap & Glory range and I knew the woman behind Soap & Glory made a more costly range known as Bliss. I love Soap & Glory and I was curious by the Bliss products, but after realising just how expensive they are I was put off. They do get some good reviews but with products costing from around £15 and upwards I just couldn't justify paying that when I know and love the Soap & Glory range anyway! However I was recently in Prague and after hours of walking around cobbled streets my aching, tired and dry feet were in need of a nice lotion. I went into a Sephora store and looked initially for something cheap but decent, I suddenly noticed the Bliss range which I hadn't noticed in a shop before, then I was really pleased to notice this foot balm on sale. This sock salve costs around £18 (looking at HQhair.com) however...

...This is a poetic snapshot of when I use to work in child care. and we, (the RSW/Instructors), would take groups of teenagers in to wilds of Scotland and Wales doing abseiling, caving, canoeing, climbing, you know, the Outdoor Activities thing. Well we would go in all weathers and throughout the winter camping. Sometimes you just couldn't remain or even get to sleep. Either the kids kept you awake, or you were so wound up by the stress of the job, or it was freezing cold and blowing a gale! I did not realise the Sock Shop had a website and thought it had disappeared when the shops disappeared from the high street. The website was clear and easy to navigate through and there were drop down boxes so that you could easily find the product you wanted. There was a good range of brands i.e. Pringle, totes, Jeff Banks, Farah and Pretty Polly and a vast selection of socks to choose from.
