We live in a 4 bedroom house, and originally, there was the Master room for mum, then a bedroom for my sister, and me and my two brothers shared the next room, leaving another free. Review of Argos Canterbury Double Bed

Worth it for the money

Advantages: Reasonable quality, cheap, easy to clean
Disadvantages: Dips in the middle, looks like it is cheap

...Moving from a studio flat in London into a three-bedroomed house that was half the price in another part of the country was all very well, but apart from a few basic bits and pieces, I had to furnish most of the rooms. I managed to pick up most of my furniture second-hand, but decided to buy a new sofa bed so that friends don't have to sleep on the floor when they visit. Being on a tight budget, I did a lot of Internet research before finally deciding that this model from Argos was the best value. Why Argos? I have bought a number of items on the Internet from Argos in the past, and have always been very pleased with them. I also hate traipsing around shops and although I knew I was taking a risk by buying online without being able to judge the shape, size and colour myself, I still thought it was worth it for a hassle...

...these things called Ready Beds and they were easily stored and easy to use, so we thought this would be a good idea. I think the only thing we was slightly concerned about was the size because of the limited space that we have in Ben's room as it is like being Toys R Us, but we thought we would have a look around and see what we could find. We had a look through the Argos catalogue and found they had what we were looking for so we went to our local store to purchase one but I couldn't believe it when they told me they were out of stock, what was going on, a mad rush on Ready Beds due to sleep-over's or what?? I text a few other stores that were local to me to see if they had them in stock, but unfortunately they didn't have it, so I think it was going to be the case that the child minder would have to suffer another night on the sofa...

...I purchased a sofa from this store earlier this year and was a little shocked when the salesman told me they'd try and have it delived in 6 weeks (Before buying I was expecting the 12 week standard) So I wasn't too disappointed when it took 12 weeks to be delivered, although I'm still not sure it would have been delivered at all if I hadn't rung them the week before delivery and asked when it was coming. The after sales service this company offers is appalling, the sofa when delivered was badly scratched in a couple of places and also missing 2 cushions, I rung the customer services and was told they'd send someone round to look at the scratches but there couldn't do nothing about the missing cushions - for this I would need to ring the store where I purchased the sofa. ...I ordered a bed from Bensons in Horwich back in February of this year, when I initially placed the order I was living in Harrogate in staff accomodation, I had spoken to my temp manager and she was OK with me having my own bed and as my room was large enough for a double I decided thats what I would go for. But due to the leave dates for the job I had the earliest I could get it delivered was going to be the 19th March almost 6 weeks away. But the deal I was getting was very good and I was in no real hurry. So I paid my deposit and waited. Then as mentioned in other places I was transferred from Harrogate to Lydd and obviously delievery to North Yorkshire was no good when I was living in Kent, so I called them as firstly asked if I could cancel the order but was told politely but firmly that it wouldn't be possible as my contract...

...We bought two ready beds - Barbie for my 3 year old daughter, and Bob the Builder for my 5 year old son. Both my children were very excited and couldn't wait to try the beds out. The literature promises that you can blow the bed up, using the hand pump within 4 minutes - this was true - and very easy to accomplish. The bed has an inner part that is inflatable, and fits inside a snug fleecey sleeping bag. You can blow it up full - which in my view is a little hard. My children prefer it slightly soft, which molds better to their bodies. The pillow though is very hard. For my daughter it was an instant hit - she would sleep in it every night if she could. My First Bed

Advantages: Perefct height for a toddler
Disadvantages: it's not big enough if you have to lie beside them!

...When our daughter was 18 months she was a very active child in her sleep. Her cot was no longer big enough for her to comfortably move around in the cot! We had seen a small bed in IKEA which was a toddler bed which could extend with the child! It also on one side had a rail which would prevent them falling out! The bed at the time cost £65 for the base and the mattress was £45. But now I believe they sell it as a combined package for about £105! The Bed came as a flat pack which my hubby found easy to make and put together! He put the frame together in about 20 minutes and the slates took about 10 mins and another 5 minutes to screw onto the bed to hold them securely! The instructions were easy to follow and all screws and keys were there to help you along the way! The bed was up and was light to move into the position...
