Advantages: A good phone and good for the money

...phones made me decide I wanted a phone by this manufacturer. However, in all the reviews of Sony Ericsson phones, one problem stood out: the joystick was very weak and was soon rendered useless. Needless to say, my initial budget of around ten pounds was pushed right up to sixty pounds and I bought the joystickless Sony Ericsson K530i with favourable reviews. This phone has many features so it would be best if one were to view them on Sony Ericsson's own website, but I will mention some of them here. Despite its many features, first and foremost this is a phone, so this is what I should be describing. I haven't made many phone calls with this as I'm not a great user of phones, be they mobile or otherwise, so my description may not be very accurate, but so far the sound has been of a good qaulity and the volume can be turned up loudly...

Advantages: 3G, Longer Battery life, Camera, Audio quality,
Disadvantages: Video playback, no dedicated music keys (but this is K series not W series):-)

...K530i truly a phone with good features and carries a great value for money. I own this phone and i must admit that it has a good range of features for such price. Stereo sound speakers, Good BASS effect headphones, Very good 2.0 MP camera, robust body and good look, Very good battery life(Two days approx.) and 3G enabled, make this phone a good choice. This phone has better sound quality than Nokia 5310 XpressMusic. My 5310 battery cover borke when it fell down from my dining table. But this phone is very strongly built. No physical damage till date ( even dropped from bike on road , only very minor scratch, no breakage at all :-) ) Further this is a 3G enabled phone which lacks in 5310. Also unofficially this phone's firmware can be upgraded to K660i's to make this phone operate like 660i. Well my 5310 can't be upgraded as there...

Sony Ericsson K530i- experienced user. On 3uk Contract

Advantages: Easy to Use, Hardwearing, never lets you down.
Disadvantages: only a 2.o megapixel camera but not a huge problem.

...In my opinion this is one of the most practical and trustworthy phones i have ever owned. I have had two years experience of using this phone and have never had any difficulties. It has an easy to use main menu, many features and an ability to chose from many themes for that ultimate customization. The camera is now slightly out of date as most new phones come with something like an 8megapixel camera, whereas this is only a 2megapixel, however the picture is still clear enough. This phone was speciafically for the 3 netowrk when i purchased it which gave it even more features such as planet3, for easy cheap internet surfing. I also found this a great and simple way to check your mins & txts. Overall a reliable and easy to use phone with the added exciting features....

...We've all seen, used or at least heard about the Sony Ericsson (SE from now on) K range which hit the big time with the K700i and has continued to better it's self every time since. The K700i was simple but very effective candy bar phone with a reasonable camera (up with the best of it's time) a large in built memory system and mp3 and radio useage. But had the poor quality screen as a downfall. The K750 took it a stage further with with better quality camera and screen resolution, but had the knack of having a dodgy stick, and their was no lens cover. The K800i though blows all the previous models out of the water. The phone now well known for the advertising campaign running strongly on the fact of the 3.2 MP camera, rather than the other great feature the phone has. ...as you want as you would with an ordinary camcorder. The more free memory on your phone the longer you can make your film. There are also the usual camera effects such as sepia, black and white, solarize, etc. You can choose to take pictures in either portrait or landscape and alter the size of the pictures. My favourite feature on the camera is the frames that you can add around your photo. I have taken quite a few photos, some during the day when it is bright, some in the evening when it is duller and even some in the dark and every single one has been perfect. ...This phone is simply amazing. it does everything you could possibly want to do on the move with a phone. video calls, audio calls, mp3 player, digital camera, internet browser. Camera: the camera is great, with auto focus, red eye removal and a built in flash, you can get a great picture without having a digital camera with you. Calls: it has all the things you would need to make an audio or a video call, the quality is good and the speaker phone ability is also a nice addition. memory: the built in memory will take quite alot of pictures without it running out and memory cards for it are very cheap. durability: i have dropped my phone several times and it is still in tip top shape, bar a few scratches of course. the screen on the front seems to never get scratched though. i have never had any problems with a low battery life...
