...the wickes name leaves a lasting impression as a good impression will mean a customer telling a friend of there good experiances but a bad experiance will mean a customer telling 5 or 6 people to avoid using us if you see what i mean. another thing i have read on the reviews is about the knowledge and helpfulness of the staff this is as we all have to do a course before we start to ensure we know are products so we are ready for business. so if a customer needs help with a item we can tell them all the infomation they need. the only downside to wickes is if you do order something like a conservatry or kitchen there can be a delay in delivery but this is due to the fact that a lot of the items are custom made but all the items you recieve are high quality and fully gaurentted. i hope you find this review usefull... ...was informing people that the Wicked Witch is in fact dead. The people of OZ then start asking Glinda about the history of the Witch as they had heard a rumour that Glinda was once friends with her. Elphaba was born green and as she was growing up became the butt of everyone's jokes; she was ridiculed by children and had no friends. Her sister is disabled and her father clearly dotes on her, he instructs Elphaba to look after her sister while she is at school. Elphaba feels that she is a failure in her father's eyes because she is 'different'. Glinda and Elphaba hated each other at first, they were like chalk and cheese but over time they become good friends. As the story progresses Elphaba find out that all the talking animals are forgetting how to speak, she believes that something awful is happening in OZ and only the Wizard in the Emerald... ...about so many little pointless things about the Witch that I had never considered…. What does a woman allergic to water do when it rains? What is so special about her? Why does the Wizard want her and/or Dorothy gone? As I read I started to realise that the Wizard and his regimes seemed very familiar, and I had an overwhelming feeling of Hitler. Reading on Gregory Maguire’s website I discovered that Sadam Hussein and Hitler were the starting point for it, as he started to think about all things Wicked. I enjoyed ‘Wicked’ purely because I like the way it was done, how he thought so deeply about the characters, and Oz. I like having a history to go with the classic story. It wasn’t easy reading though. Something about it made it hard for me to settle into it, and I felt I was reading it more because I wanted to know the story rather... Read review

...limited choice. I have been using Wickes for ages now, I can even remember when Dick Clark used to do the advertisements himself! I will buy at Wickes over going anywhere else, if they have the item I want that is and it's not on special offer somewhere else. The quality of Wickes goods I have always found to be of a very high standard, and would recommend the store to anyone. I have just been to Wickes today to get some timber and noticed that they have a wallpaper I have just bought from elsewhere. My wallpaper is made by Crown and the Wickes one must be also, although it is a Wickes own label product, it is exactly the same. Even the shade numbers are the same. The only difference is the price. The Wickes one was at least £2 a roll cheaper. Will look at Wickes for more wallpaper next time I need some.... Read review

...I thought i'd write a review on something that is used everyday in my house, and what better domestic product than Air Wick Click Spray. This gadget provodes you with instant bursts of fragrance with just once small click. They also have Air Wick plug in's and Air Wick Crystal. I prefer the click spray. The fragrances if they are on constantly came become a little strong. With the click spray, it allows you to choose when you want that burst of fragrance. That way it stay and keep your house fresh smelling. The click sprays releases a mist of fragrance which last for hours. It is available in 2 fragrances, rose petals and white mist. I use the white mists, as i find the rose petals scent can be overpowering in the room. The white mist has a slight hint of wild flowers and truly does keep the room fresh and inviting. Refills... ...A simple answer is...........sometimes. I had a quick visit to wickes late yesterday to buy some bathroom accessories and a georgian door. I had priced them all up in a B and Q warehouse first, which incidentally are very nearby the wickes store, and I found the door prices to be equal. However the door at wickes seemed to be taht little bit better and more 'manly'. Perhaps a figment of my immagination, but thats how it felt to me. The bathroom accessories were all available at wickes, so B and Q won here. An overall opinion on wickes is this. They are one of the best for value for money of all the diy shops, but the stock on sale is somewhat limited unless you are lucky to live close to oneof the larger stores.... Read review

...I brought this album for £14.99 from HMV, when it came out. The track list had some impressive tracks on it, but nothing current, and ones that have done the compilation rounds before. However, I actually like to listen to it, after a couple of times admittedly, I've grown to love it. And although it isn't a collection of up to date tunes, the mix of new with old works well and is pretty wicked. Whether you like the drum and bass sound of Andy C or the Ganja Kru, the hip hop of Snoop Dogg or Ice Cube, the hard house sound of Public Domain or the wicked madness of Dizzee Rascal and Roots Manuva, there has got to be something here for everyone, and as I said, despite the variety of styles represented on the album, it works well. ...This is one of Lush's luxury bath melts, stylishly designed as a pink bar with the word 'wicked' inscribed on the top and covered in pink glitter, just like the glitter bugs. The actual thing doesn't look as good as pictures may look. Because it's soft it looks a bit dented and like a few people have picked it up and had a sniff. But that doesn't put me off. THE SMELL Well if you give this a whiff, you will clearly notice the unique smell of jasmine, which I adore, with warm spicy undertones of ginger. Also within this bath melt is Almond oil, which I didn't really notice but all the same it's briliant for the skin. The bath melts themselves are made of cocoa butter, which is absolutely yummy! The whole concoction is totally luxurious. THE EFFECT When you put this into your run bath it melts slowly releasing the glitter and beautiful... Read review

...depending on the size of your snowballs. Remember to always place them on a plate or a suitable container. CHUNK CANDLES Materials - Old used candles, coloured ones can be used. Some white wax - either an old candle or some new wax pellets, Small pot, wick and a suitable heatproof container to use as a mould. I use pringles tubs as they are ideal, can be used once then flung away. A pen/ice lolly stick etc ( something that you can tie your wick around and place on the top of your mould). Sewing needle. Method - Break your wax into small and medium size pieces. Use an old knife to dig in if you have problems doing this. Melt the wax in your pot always supervising it. Wash and dry then cut your pringles tin in half with a large bread knife being careful not to cut yourself. If you have a small pringles tin no need to do this. While... Read review

...reviewing have been there for a few years, I have been using this store for about five years in total now and recognise quite a few of the staff, I have never had any problems with any of the staff either and have always found them to be very polite and helpful, I quite often send my wife up for a couple of things if I am in the middle of something and haven't got enough of something, there is never any problem if it is something she cannot manage, she simply asks a member of staff and someone gets the item for her and loads it into the car for her also. We have done that a few times and she has always found them happy to help. Choice And Pricing There might not be as much choice as there is a mile up the road at the B&Q warehouse but this is quite a small Wickes really and it is a warehouse I am comparing it too, however there is still...
