Sony Camcorder Battery

Advantages: It can hold a very good charge

...In the past two years I have bought 4 of these batteries. I love these batteries because Sony have made most of their camcorders compatible with this battery. This meant that when I got my new camcorder for Christmas this year I was then able to transfer my old battery for a back-up. I have bought so many of these batteries because I do a lot of sightseeing. I have also choose this battery over any other because it holds an extremely good charge. I had came across times when I was standing in front of a beautiful landmark and I had no battery charge. After that experience any holidays, or events I got to I always bring at least one spare, charged battery as well as my own. Sony Alpha A200 (Digital SLR)

Advantages: Price, brand, quality
Disadvantages: Manual modes

...camera is compatible with the old Minolta lenses - which are cheaper and often better that the Sony ones (for more advanced photos). The manual settings are easy to use, however are a little rigid, and I find do not give you the same flexibility as some of the more expensive digital SLRs or manual ones (Cannon ones are very good for this), however for the price of the Sony, the settings are reasonable. Down to the most important point - image quality. I cannot really find fault with this at all, and this is comparable to some of the much more expensive Canon and Pentax SLRs! The lens provided with this camera is not the best for very close up and macro photography, however it tends to perform very well for any other shots - and there is always the option to change to a better lens for these purposes. Getting movie data from camcorder to computer

Advantages: Digital movie format, good price and good optics
Disadvantages: Super8 tape, USB stream

...and it appears to load the driver. But it doesn't. Then a window comes up titled USB Streaming and you can see your video from the camera in a window and hear the audio from your soundcard. But if your USB is version 1 the picture and the audio will flicker. you actually get broken and only part of the audio. The video appears better. With USB version 2 which is faster the audio is still broken but better. I must say, in my opinion I wasted my money buying the camcorder that has a USB port. Sony recommends using the Ilink which is a IEEE1394 format which I do not have on my computer. I will Google and see if the IEEE1394 device can be purchased for my computer. Then you need to buy the proper cable from Sony because the plug on the camcorder is special. I hope someone manufactures a device that mounts in a computer that plays...
