...Continuing the legacy of 2D Sonic games,this game is sheerly fantastic,but as with any game there are at least a few gripes to contend with. For those of you who have never played a 2D Sonic game before the basics of Sonic are these,you run around giant levels (acts) killing badniks with animals inside them,collecting rings and avoiding traps,running around loops,beating bosses and collecting chaos emeralds to stop the evil Dr. Ivo Robotnik and all sorts of wholesome stuff which made the originals one of the most lucrative video games franchises ever,however unlike Sonic Advance (which basically had nothing new included) to this mix of classic platforming are several new extras,good and bad. The story is this,Dr Robotnik (or Dr. Eggman depending on where you live) has kidnapped all of Sonics friends and is trying to take over...

A definite improvement on Sonic Advance 2

Advantages: Replayability, you will be playing this for months
Disadvantages: Not much really, though the story is a bit of a let down

...Introduction For chose of you that have read my previuos reviews, you will know that I felt let down by Sonic Advance 2, but I had high hopes for this one. I was not disappointed. Gameplay - 9/10 This is definitely better than Sonic Advance 2. The game goes fast, but not too fast, and the levels are still very big, but are rarely dull. The only exception I found to the rule was Toy Kingdom, about half way through the game, which seems repetitive in the extreme. The boss fights are a huge improvement, as rather than chasing Eggman along like crazy, you generally sit in one place and make hits, and there are some incredibly challenging battles that feature later on. ...Mario and Sonic have come together to make a game called "Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games" this game was made for the 2008 Olympic Games in China. It isn't a promo game and is still around. But is it worth it? GAMEPLAY You can choose from a variety of different games, like 100m, 100m freestyle, table tennis, pole vault etc. These are fun, but some of the controls are hard and get boring after a while. Not the best Sonic game

Advantages: I hate to put graphics but thats really is the best part to this game

This game seemed immensely popular where I live (I had to look in two shops before I found it). However, I personally thought it did fare particularly well compared to the other Sonic games. Gameplay - 6/10 The levels, as promised, as bigger than most of what was on Sonic Advance, and for the first few levels, it's quite good. There's an emphasis on speed, and for a lot of the early levels, you can zoom through with few problems. However, towards the end, the levels just seem to get dull and repetitive - a far cry from inventive levels like Scrap Brain Zone from the original, or Sonic & Knuckles' Death Egg Zone. Mario & Sonic for kids & adults alike

Advantages: loads of different events, suitable for all, good multiplayer functionality

...This game has great appeal for children - anything with mario and sonic in would - but is also appealing to adults due to its playability. Basically, various characters (mario, sonic, luigi, peaches, yoshi...) compete in the popular events of the olympic - track and field such as long jump, high jump, 100m, hammer, swimming, trampolining, archery. You control the players and therefore, there is excellent multiplayer functionality. It's a great game to play at parties (I've found the table tennis particularly popular) as well as with the children. It's a great game and there's loads of different events to choose from and try to master. Therefore, it'll be a while before you even start to get bored with it. Sonic Adventure 2, No Super Sonic?

Advantages: high speed gameplay
Disadvantages: camera angles

...completing the level when you have to race in the karts. Also you can do regular 1 player, by doing the levels to complete the game. In 2 player, you can do kart racing, once it is unlocked, or you can do Action Race, which is you racing your friend to get to the emblem coin. You can also do Treasure Hunting, which you have to find the 3 parts of the mega crystal. Or you can do Action Battle, which is other words; destroy the hell out of your enemy. There are some others like Chao racing and stuff, but you need to uplink your Sonic Advance game to the Game Cube. Sonic adventure 2 battle is a great game; it has great graphics, looks so smooth, and all that.
