...I have now owned this system for a couple of weeks. I already have a good DVD player so was not interested in a system with the DVD player built in. I thought it was wiser to spend my money on a good amp and speakers rather than another DVD player. I was also attracted by the built in radio as my lounge was missing a sound system including a radio. This seemed like a perfect system to suit my needs within a good budget (paid just under £200). The system is compatible with most DVD players as it has optical inputs as well as coax. You can get the full tech specs from Sony\'s website and I would say it is worth checking before you make your purchase. As it is a separate system it is ideal if you want to upgrade your DVD player in the future, with Blu-ray/HD DVD becoming more popular this is something that most will be considering...

...This is a great controller jus like the classic ps1/ps2 the design stayed the same. This is the perfect controller i can not say anything about the slick design. As you may know this controller is wireless so you may use it from newere in the room so no messy wires hanging around. And the batttery lasts very long i dont have to charge it very often but i dont play hours every day either. ...Sony's next generation console was well worth the wait from the Playstation 2. I have owned a PS3 for just over a year now and I have so far had no problems with it and to see the quality of the graphics of any game was incredible, and it was such a step up from the PS2. Although Sony was late in releasing the PS3, it was worth the wait in the end, although I did consider getting an Xbox 360 instead. The Xbox 360 came out much earlier and allowed microsoft the oppurtunity to get more Xbox 360's out there before the PS3 was even out. However there have been many reported problems with the Xbox 360, such as the console freezing, so I thought I best play it safe and instead get the PS3 when I had some money.
