Wowee!!!!
Review of Sony DVAS300 by
RICHYF1
Advantages: Cheap, great sound and picture and look fab
Disadvantages: Hard to hide the speakers wires, tiny dispaly
...I just got my new sony dvd player from www.hotkit.co.uk and its amazing. It was only £420 which is £130 cheaper than in dixons. Not only is it a cool looking dvd player but it also can act as your hi-fi with it five satalite speakers and massive subwoofer all included. Extra features include a radio (nt RDS) and an remote capable of controlling two other devices. Only problem with the system is the speakers wires but its worth the hassle. The remote also has a flap that can be lifted to reveal a bunch of extra buttons.... cool. A top notch bargin!!!!!...

Sony SRF-S84: The Review.
Review of Sony SRFS84 by
matt_dvd_mad_2006
Advantages: Small, Portable, Lightweight, AM/FM, Mega Bass, 1 AAA battery.
Disadvantages: None whatsoever.
...Sony have done an excellent job with this little personal radio - SRF-S84. It is small, lightweight and so easy to use.
The box is mainly purple and with Sony at the top and description at the bottom, it opens at either end.
The Instruction Manual, and guarantee information are included in the bottom, and so is the headphone advice.
Now to the radio itself. Its is mainly silver with the LED dial on the front showing 53 70 100 130 160 AM x10kHz down one side and on the other 88 92 96 102 108 FM MHz.
The front shows a shiny silver SONY logo and underneath that is the Walkman logo. Then at the bottom MEGA BASS and FM STEREO are displayed.
On the top there is a switch for ON - OFF - MEGABASS and next to that is the VOLUME ----' control. On the right hand side is the TUNE dial and below that is the AM - MONO-ST-FM band switch, which...

Sony, Still the big boys
Review of Sony CDXMP40 by
Jimmy_D
Advantages: Superb sound quality, Great looking
Disadvantages: Track name only scrolls once
...Lets start by saying previous to this Sony car stereo I had a £200 Clarion "profesional" car stereo. to my dismay it has recently passed away and caused me to look for a new alternative.
I have a sony Monitor a sony DVD player Sony Surround Sound AMP and a Sony Video Player. Therefore I knew sony are good, BUT i didnt know they were this good.
All my faults with this unit have been described in the above column which is the fact it only scrolls the track name once.
Other than that this CD/MP3 player kicks ass.
Sound Quality
Sound quality is better than my ex£200 Clarion unit and seeing as I paid £130 for this i feel thats a win from the start.
The BASS and TREBLE controls are easy to master and arrange to your current speakers the Low Level output is perfect for you Trance heads.
But the most comendable...

PSP Slim
Review of Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) Slim & Lite by
hellsing
Advantages: Light, thinner and faster than the old PSP, with some nifty features.
Disadvantages: No infrared, battery life lower than usual PSP's.
...The PSP Slim is a smaller and slimmer version of the original, hence the name. Now with a third less weight, at 189g and about four-fifths the thickness (19mm). It costs around the same as the old one, £130.
The new weight is immediately noticeable as soon as you hold the PSP in your hand. It's so light that you might think that it's missing something. Sony was able to slim down the battery size while maintaining the 5hr standard PSP time.
The speakers have gone on the front, the wifi switch is now on the top to stop turning WLAN off and the UMD drive is spring loaded.
The display remains the same, but the slim includes a video output that will let the PSP connect to a TV.
Sony has doubled the built-in memory RAM from 32MB to 64MB, and the new PSP will also be able to speed up game load times with extra memory. The PSP slim can...

Boom yeah
Review of Sony CMT-CP 1 by
si_gk
Advantages: Great, not much better than it!
Disadvantages: A little too much bass
...I have owned this little Sony for over 2 years now. I got bought it on the day it came out from the Sony centre (nice people) who gave us £10 off.
Having listened to other mini systems and then listening to this, the difference was obvious: the others didn't matter. (my only niggle is there is no bass or treble adjustment - sorted on later models)
The CMT-CP1 started thecurrent trend of silver coloured stereos, with teal coloured speakers and bits of glass for transparent displays.
The stereo also allows you to hook it up to Minidisk, Computers and video, which means you can get great sound at an affordable price(it now costs about £130)
This stereo is great, with loads of features. I'm still glad I got it and would not sell it at any cost. If I was to buy another stereo I would still keep this so I could wire it up to my PC full...

Style to the extreme
Review of Sony Network Walkman NW-E99 1 GB by
pYr0t3cHn1C
Advantages: SIZE SIZE SIZE! oh, and the throttle on the corner
Disadvantages: Maybe the capacity - but read on...
...This even made my mum reflect on how far the walkman had come, I had 35 albums on something that is the size of a small matchbox. Incredible.
Most people fob this off as a sony player that is overpriced, especially in a world of i-pods and loads of GBs.
Well I for one wanted a player that wasn't an i-pod around 130 pounds. 1GB this model has and with the help of Sonys ATRAC plus (newer) compression, easily fits lots of songs on without a lack of quality.
I must stress I am an audiophile and cannot tolerate bad sounding music. Coupled with the Fontopia silicone tipped suction thingy headphones it sounds very good indeed, even with such compression 35 albums - 1GB.
The unit itself is a work of art with solid construction and easily workable buttons. Press one button to sweep through the albums and press it again when you want to skip...

Great Piece of kit
Review of Sony Ericsson CMD-J5 by
itsgl
Advantages: different Stands out flexible inventive easy to use
Disadvantages: games are terrible and no funny texts
...When my old 3310 started to look dated and was begining to bore me i began to look around at other phones on the market. I had had a nokia for so long i did not realise what was available. The SONY J5 immediately caught the eye. I had seen it in an advertising campaign and it immediately appealed, maiinly because i used to spend a fortune on beepy ringtones for the 3310, and on the J5 you can literally record your own!
Other key features include a fully operational WAP setup, splendid text features, however i miss my funny texts that one could receive with nokias! The games are terrible however, do not buy this product if you are a snake or space impact fan from nokia cos the games look so 1 dimensional.
Overall i would reccommend this product greatly it is like a breath of fresh air, however, make sure you choose the right network...
