Sony Bravia 20" - A great little HDTV

Advantages: Compact yet powerful, great screen, quality design, contrast, colours, sound,
Disadvantages: Weird stand, Silver not the best, only 1 HDMI

...Hi everyone, first review in a while, I don't get much time for a Ciao at the moment, GCSEs are beginning to get scarily close, but I thought I'd roll this one out for you on the monitor/HDTV that I've been using for a while. This Sony Bravia television is really nice. I thought I'd begin with that, and now move on. I'm using it right now; it is hooked up to our family computer via VGA cables, and works very nicely. It provides clear, crisp and punchy colours, with great brightness and contrast. I will now move on in more detail. Picture Quality What can I say, this is really the most important thing in my opinion with a television, because of course, it is what they were originally for, watching moving things that weren't in your home, and of course this TV holds up to that. A Great System from Sony

Advantages: Nice Classy Design, Great Graphics, and a Good Online

Advantages: slick piece of hardware, great games, so much to do!

Advantages: Beautiful and Practical.
Disadvantages: Nothing worth fussing about.

Have Sony rolled in the next gen with a bang??

Advantages: Excellent multimedia package ahead of its time
Disadvantages: Backward compatability probs, and some minor glitches

The 360 had a remote (well mine did because I had one of the premium launch packs) which makes navigation easier in some ways, however you can buy an official Sony remote control for a penny short of £20. The PS3 has more flexibility than the 360 since you can link up your PSP, or insert certain memory cards into the integrated card reader. Now the 360 does enable you to link an external device to playback music, but it has only been recently you could actually save the format on the hard drive. Although with the PS3 you can save photos, audio and videos of varying format straight onto the 60 GB hard drive. At the moment I am still getting to grips with what the PS3 can playback in the video stakes but already I know it's a lot more than what the 360 can do, having already transferred my PSP mp4 files...

Sony Official PS3 SIXAXIS Wireless Controller

Advantages: Great Design
Disadvantages: No Dual Shock

...This is a great controller jus like the classic ps1/ps2 the design stayed the same. This is the perfect controller i can not say anything about the slick design. As you may know this controller is wireless so you may use it from newere in the room so no messy wires hanging around. And the batttery lasts very long i dont have to charge it very often but i dont play hours every day either. Only bad this about this controller is that unlike the ps1/ps2 controllers this does not have dual shock so no rumble :(.This is because sony could not get rights for the technology. Sony what happened? Well good news this controller is being released again next year as Dual Shock 3 is comming out. So if you can wait i strongly urge you wait for it to come out as it is a great feature. The feeling for the game is lost without dual shock. Need...

Advantages: Really good graphics, Blue Ray player built in, wireless internet for free
Disadvantages: High price, loud fan when playing games

...Sony's next generation console was well worth the wait from the Playstation 2. I have owned a PS3 for just over a year now and I have so far had no problems with it and to see the quality of the graphics of any game was incredible, and it was such a step up from the PS2. Although Sony was late in releasing the PS3, it was worth the wait in the end, although I did consider getting an Xbox 360 instead. The Xbox 360 came out much earlier and allowed microsoft the oppurtunity to get more Xbox 360's out there before the PS3 was even out. However there have been many reported problems with the Xbox 360, such as the console freezing, so I thought I best play it safe and instead get the PS3 when I had some money. The PS3 also offers more benefits over the Xbox 360, like free online play and less reported faults with the console in general...
