...The first I want to say about this product is how long the battery lasts. I was playing around with this thing for a whole 2 days without the battery even going down under half. I later realised that the battery life was up to 45hours which is pretty incredible, considering it is longer than the Ipod touch. So 4GB may not seem to much to a lot of people, but for those who don't have a HUGE music collection, but want just enough to be able to store a few hundred tracks, this mp3 player has an ideal capacity. There is no easy sync like on Ipod but many find it easier to drag and drop songs that they want onto the mp3 rather than the problem that occurs when and Ipod can randomly start syncing with the wrong music! ...I have owned this walkman model since Jan08 and think it is fantastic. I find it hard to believe that ipod out-sell sony to such an extent when sony are delivering such good walkmans. To begin with, the sony walkmans have a far superior sound capability. With such features as DSEE sound enhancement, "clear stereo," VTP surround and the dynamic normaliser available to enhance the all round quality of the tracks you listen to, ipod cannot compare. Also, the screen on the walkman has a crystal clear resolution. I would go as far to say that combined with the sound quality, I could become absorbed in a movie whilst watching it on the walkman - provided there were no glaring distractions! Advantages: Excellent player and sound quality

...I chose this player because I trusted Sony and needed a player that had Solid state (flash) storage, but played videos. at the time of purchase, it seemed like the best option. I would buy it again today. The player interface is incredibly easy to use; the screen is bright, sharp and vivid; and the bundled headphones give magnificent sound quality. Sony have been criticized over their Sonic Stage software that is used for music transfer. I admit that it can be slightly awkward and slow, but generally it does the job well. My only complaint with the player itself is that the headphones have a very short lead, Sony include an extender, but it is easy to loose and it would be far better to have bundled a set of earphones with a longer cable. Overall, definitely worth it....

Advantages: High Quality, Equalizer, Easy to use, Slim Design, Best free Headphones around

...." The quality of the music and video is outstanding, especially if you have high definition video and music at around 320 kbs. There is an equalizer which allows you to customize your music if you want to listen to, "Heavy" music or "Classical" music. To make things better, the battery will last you about 33 hours before you have to recharge and 8 hours if you're watching a video. Imagine all that you can put on 4 GB of Flash Memory. I have also been able to put my music onto the Sony Walkman NWZ-A816 from a Windows 2000 Professional Laptop with Service Pack 4. It treats is like a Jumpdrive and you just take your music from your hard drive and copy paste. Remember not to unplug the USB Wire at any time when uploading. Nano 4GB

Advantages: Tiny
Disadvantages: Scared it will snap!

...I bought my first Nano a week ago and have had to take it back to the shop to change it already. For some reason I had problems getting it to turn on sometimes but the shop exchanged it for me and the new one seems to be fine. To being with, it really is a small as the adverts make out, if not smaller. When I first saw it I was shocked! The 4GB can hold approx 1000 songs and can also store photos but this obviously takes up memory so the more photos you have, the fewer songs you can store. Apparently the first batch of Nano's had problems with the screen cracking and people have said to be careful of forgeting its in your pocket and sitting down. This didn't surprise me as it is so thin but I have sat on it a number of times! Once for 40 mins in a lecture and it has been fine! It does more than just store music and photos though...

Spot on Sony!

Advantages: Great sound, video, screen, build quality, battery life, looks nice, cheap.
Disadvantages: Song search function not good, but i'm just nit picking!

...When I was looking for a reasonably priced MP3 player that also did video and had great sound, I had a toss up between the IPod Nano and the Sony. The IPod was priced at £117 and the Sony was £75 (both will have now gone down) and that means the IPod is significantly pricier. The next question I have to ask was, why the price difference? The IPod, as far as I can tell has the same specs as the Sony. In the end I went for the Sony and the reason for this was not only is it as good as the IPod on paper, but came with much better headphones and the price was very reasonable! Sound quality is important to me which meant I was very impressed by this little gem when I first used it. Not only that but the quality of the screen is great, video is clear and the colours are well produced. You couldn't watch anything more than an hour on it...

...Say Sony, think quality, thats what I thought when I parted with £49.99 of my own - yes my own hard earned cash for the Micro Vault 4GB flashdrive. The amount of files I'm now moving and carrying around with me had got to the stage where I needed something reliable with a huge storage capacity so that I knew if I needed to store a massive powerpoint presentation to take on the road with me - I could with confidence. I ended up buying the Micro Vault from Amazon as it came in at about the same price as other different models but had a full 2 GB more storage and this got my juices flowing so to speak. 2 GB more - for the same price - bargain! The flashdrive is nothing to write home about - it's very functional - and looks pretty much the same as very flashdrive I've ever seen - port at one end and thats it. The Micro Vault does though...
