Sony Ericsson K800i no keys left or fab camera?
Advantages: Superb camera, magical MP3 player, ease of use, Games console (sorta)
Disadvantages: Wearing away of keys, that rotten joytick
...jams, gets full of grime and when it does decide to move it flips up 2 lines instead of 1! Come on Sony Ericsson, this has got to go!
The Best bits:
1. The Camera - man, what a fantastic addition! I cant stress enough how excellent the phots are with this beast and 3.2Meg too. It was so good that I ebayed my digcam as soon as I started taking pics with it. There are 2 great buttons to navigate your taken pics just above the screen by the way. Proper auto-focus (take note Nokia!) and a zoom (errrr.....not so good, but it is digital 3 times)
2. Ease of Use - Now, this is dependent on that joystick working, but when it does this mob is a pleasure to use. The main menu is clear and has meaningful icons to describe where you\'re going. It\'s relatively quick navigating around too which helps when the mobile is being used when it shouldn...

Sony Ericsson K800i Cybershot (update)
Advantages: 3.2mp camera
Disadvantages: annoying joystick!
...Please Note: Review was written quite a few months and has been updated.
Why buy a digital camera when you can get an excellent camera and a phone in one! I had this sony ericsson k800i for about a year and a half and even though i must have dropped it like 100 times its still working really good! I've currently got another sony ericsson phone (see my review on c905).
I'd say the camera on it is the best thing as it 3.2 mega pixel, the "cybershot" name pretty much gives it away on how sony erisson have made yet another gerat camera phone. As im always printing out actual photos in great quality, you would never guess they were from a phone. The camera section includes: Auto focus so the face is detected and makes taking photos easier, Picture blogging, Xenon flash which enables you to take good quality photos indoors and outdoors...

Sony Ericsson K800i
Advantages: good camera
Disadvantages: freezes
...Sony Ericsson K800i
Hmmm what can I say , I brought the phone two months ago and I am slightly not happy about it , but let me first describe the phone to you all.
Black Sony Ericsson K800i
The phone is light weight, black in colour , it has 3.2 mega pixels camera, and its auto focus. It has a slightly large screen. My one is 3g make , which has a 3g logo near the buttons. Head set button on left hand side , adjustable volume buttons on the side, camera button just beneath the volume control on the right side of the phone. Small side to side movable stick numbers at the bottom of the screen. The speakers are situated at the back of the phone.
Features
Bluetooth, internet options, USB compatible, 5 language options includes Dansk ,Deutsch, English, Italian, Svenska, English dictionary, infrared port, phone memory 49 mega...

Sony Ericsson K800i... UPDATED 10/01/07!!!
Advantages: SUPERB 3 MEGA PIXEL CAMERA, MP3 PLAYER AND LOTS MORE!!!
Disadvantages: THAT BLOODY PIECE OF SH*T ANNOYING INTERNET BUTTON!!!
...*** PLEASE NOTE: This review first appeared on www.dooyoo.co.uk under my dooyoo alias of dlb74 ***
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Having recently renewed my contract with Orange (who I was going to leave following a pretty shoddy first year of contract until they went all Marlon Brando in 'The Godfather' on me? No? They didn't have me wake up to a horse's head in my bed! They simply gave me an offer I couldn't refuse?) upgraded my mobile phone from the Sony Ericsson W800i which had been fairly problematic at times to the Sony Ericsson K800i.
It's a phone that I quite liked the look of but the fact that it features a 3.2 mega pixel digital camera was something that I loved the thought of - having had a 2 mega pixel camera on the W800i that gave some pretty good results, I thought moving up...

Sony Erricsson K800i Cyber-Shot
Advantages: Strong and robust, with a great range of quality features and battery life.
Disadvantages: Aside from the bulky design, the lense cover for the camera can cause minor annoyance
...incredibly strong and robust - on a number of occasions I have dropped it onto the pavement or wooden floor with no damage caused to the performance of the model.
Furthermore the range of features available is equally as impressive. The phone can record, and hold around 15 videos of 60 seconds, in addition to over 40 photographs. The quality of lense and lense have also impressed me, to such an extent that upon losing my Digital Camera I have used my K800i to take photographs at Weddings and Partys in both good and poor light, and with little differentiation in quality from that of a regular camera. The phone also has relatively quick and easy internet access, a selection of games, and can hold around 800 SMS/text messages.
In addition to this, the Erricsson excels in one area where other phones fail - battery strength. The phone will take...

Sony Ericsson K800i - Almost perfect
Advantages: Great Camera, Very good screen, MP3 support
Disadvantages: Stability issues
...I have owned a Sony Ericsson K800i for around 6 months and it is by far the best phone I have used from any manufacturer. Its not without its faults but compared to the numerous other Sony Ericsson, Samsung and Nokia phones I have used previously the K800i is a real breath of fresh air.
If you want a compact phone with a brilliant camera thats packed with useful features then the K800i is a great choice.
Pros
- Phone. The K800i has all the usual features you would expect to find along with 3G/Video call support. The SMS/MMS interface is easy to use and email is also supported. I have found the reception to be very good. The contacts/address book allows you to store alot of info including multiple phone numbers, a photo of the contact (used for photo id when calling), address, birthday and email address.
- Interface...

The Sony Ericsson K800i
Advantages: Great 3.2 megapixel camera and MP3 player
Disadvantages: Small memory and keypad buttons are prone to malfunction.
...The Sony Ericsson range of Mobile phones are great for a wide range of applications and have very high quality features.
The K800i is no exception. I have owned this particular model of phone since they were released aroud two years ago. I am still not particularly tempted to upgrade as I am still finding features on this phone which I didn't even realise were on there.
The 3.2 megapixel camera is perfect for any uses of photography. Unlike most camera phones you still manage to get great quality images, even when you load them on to your computer or laptop.
Disadvantages include the unreliable keypad which is prone to malfunctions every so often. I have had to turn my handset off and on again a few times to get the phone to recognise some of the buttons.
For overall value for money, it must be mentioned that the camera...

Sony ericsson k800i
Advantages: Camera, durable
Disadvantages: A little chunk, video quality
...The camera
I chose the k800i as my free upgrade because of the quality of the camera (3.2MP) and I wasn't disappointed. The photographs it takes are comparable to those taken with a 3 mega pixel traditional digital camera. The camera has a good range of settings (landscape, portrait, beach / snow, document, auto, twilight landscape, twilight portrait, sports) to make sure you get the best picture. It also has a feature called bestpic which takes 9 photographs in quick succession which allows you to pick the best. This is good for taking pictures of people. You can take photos with various effects (black & white, negative, sepia and solarise). The camera also has auto focus which is a useful tool and a flash which can be automatic, forced, switched off or set to red-eye reduction. The quality of the video recorder is a little...

Sony Ericsson K800i
Advantages: Design, Camera, Features
Disadvantages: Keypad, Video Recording
...for example.
The video recording is very disappointing. Whilst the quality isn't totally unacceptable, it does only record in a very small resolution - smaller even than some older Sony Ericsson Walkman phones. For a phone that was at the time the flagship camera phone of Sony Ericsson, I found this quite disappointing.
The menu's are pretty identical to most other SE phones, and so makes navigating very easy.
I'll come along to the buttons next. This is quite a deceptive phone when it comes to texting or writing emails, etc. The keys are all on the same pad, and close together, however the phone really does give you a sense of being easy to text. This would be completely true if the pad was more responsive, however I'm now on my second K800 which I have only had for around 4 months. Already the keypad is beginning to miss out...

Sony Ericsson k800i - Any good?
Advantages: Excellent value for money, quality camera, surprising sound qualtity, easy to use. Genarally brilliant.
Disadvantages: The in convieniently placed internet button!
...quality pictures and videos. And yes there is a noticable difference between the new 8.something mega pixel cameras, but that is also reflected in the, more than distinct price you would have to pay. In contrast to this price tag the Sony Ericsson k800i has an outstanding camera for its price. The flash is also very effective and can be taken off relatively easily.
Only draw back i can think of is the slider on the back activates the camera, sometimes defing will. EVen this has its advantages when you want quick access for that perfect picture.
USER FRIENDLY?
In a word Yes. Very can to get the hang of and a simple yet efficient lay out ensures very little confusion. The draw back is that rather annoying lets-access-the -internet button inconvienient placed inbetween the select and back button. This doesnt ruin the phone however and can...
