Sony Walkman 850i

Advantages: Very stylish, great music player, very powerful tool
Disadvantages: No Camera Zoom

...Well with some trepidation i recently upgraded to the W850i when contract renewal time came around. Having read a few bad reports about this product i almost went for one of its rivals, however i stuck to my guns as the W850i offered the features i most wanted, and in one of the most stylish packages. So to the phone, no need to list its functions plenty of others have done that, but more to point out the really useful bits, and the misguided advice of others. I can only speak from a TMobile service users point of view, but so far i have had no problem getting a signal wherever i am in the uk, which is a vast improvement on the performance of my old Samsung, although that was with Voda. Then to the music part, for an old git the ability to store a good few CDs worth of music is more than sufficient, and the 1GB card supplied...

Advantages: stylish and fantastic for phone/PC transferring
Disadvantages: few flaws that could of been rectified before release

...i have owned this phone for six months now! i have the 1GB memory card with my phone to be able to store more music and pictures. not sure what difference that actually makes i love the way my phone looks, i love when it rings and being able to pull this out of my bag, it really does look cool! not only is it a sony ericsson walkman phone but its a slide phone! and not only that it has orange lights! the features are amazing, so many to choose from but there are some flaws! ill detail the flaws first and then if your still interested you can read on! the phones feel robust and strong, i havent dropped it yet so couldnt tell you exactly how robust it is and i dont plan to drop it just for this review just incase it isnt as robust and strong as it feels! the only thing that worries me about dropping it is the slide feature, how would it...

Great phone for anyone - Sony Ericsson W850i

Advantages: Excellent music capabilities, VERY strong and study
Disadvantages: A little bit thick, but not too much of a problem.

...I have owned the W850i for about 2 years, after my old mobile phone was broken. It's only the second one i've owned, but it's an excellent device - it's worked perfectly all the time even though it was already second hand when i bought it from eBay! The shape is quite thick, but this isn't a problem at all, as it's extremely sturdy and strong. The sliding style is is pretty cool, as it ensures the keys aren't too small, so sending people text messages is easier than on a lot of phones i've used. My phone is covered in scratches and dents, and even has a couple of large chunks missing from it! However, this is to be expected, as I often play basketball with it in my pocket, and sometimes stupidly play catch with the phone. Advantages: Lots of features, 3G, good MP3 player
Disadvantages: A little fat and not the best at holding onto a signal

...Having previously owned the Sony Ericsson W810i Walkman I found this phone better. I found the clarity and loudness of the phone call to be much better, though still not as loud as some of the competition. The mp3 player was better because if a track was paused the MP3 player could be closed and later go back to it and follow on from the same point, very useful if you are listening to an audio book. The screen is reasonable in size and clarity and by using 3G able to view TV with the correct subscription. I personally like the headphones that come with the phone and find them very comfortable with prolonged use, my hearing is not the best but the sound seems okay to me. A 2MP camera is squashed into the slider phone and does an okay job but the flash is a little weak. The flash doubles as a torch and along with most of the other...

...Continuing the K series of impressive camera phones by sony-ericsson, the K850i is a stylish candy bar phone with a 5.0 megapixel camera. Firstly the phone itself, much like previous phones in the k series of sony ericsson phones the k850i is a candy bar phone. At about 17mm thick and 102mmx48mm length and width it's hardly the thinnest phone i've ever seen but it fits in pockets easily and although it is around 118grams it isn't too heavy. In terms of every day use i'd say its not too heavy to be irritating and not too light to think it's missing from your pocket. The design on the phone is very slick, with blue LED's for the camera function, a nice sizeable screen and a big lens on the back of the phone it becomes obvious that this phone is all about the function. ...This has been a great choice of dvd player. I did have a Samsung (woolies cheepo) but this was recalled. So I bought a Sony DVP cx850D. It holds 200 dvds, of which i've filled 100 slots so far. Its really easy to put in more CDs. It has a great on screen menus(it has little pictures for different catagories of films) and a good range of outputs including digital outputs.Many of the features, well, I never really touch them as it can all be done from the remote control. The remote looks a little strange with its shuttle control. It looks like a little joypad. I programmed all the remote functions into my Merantz controller. It worked really well. One annoying little feature is the "glowing" blue light on the front of the panel. This is a bit distracting when watching a movie. I tend to cover it up with something. All in all, i'd say it...

...OK, here goes, my review of the Sony Ericsson K850i. Please bear with me as I have only had the phone for 3 days so can only review it based on my experience so far! LOOKS etc.. This phone looks quite cool, is quite chunky but not too big - I would say that it is smaller and lighter than the Nokia N95. It feels pretty sturdy too but I keep worrying about dropping it as there is no customised case yet for it. The number keys are well spaced out so you don't hit the wrong buttons by mistake but it can make texting slower. There are 3 touch screen buttons at the bottom of the screen which you use for your menu, media and internet - at first I found these annoying as I kept pressing them by mistake but I am getting used to it, however, you do sometimes accidentally press them with your cheek while you are on the phone so be careful...
