Sony has defiantly achieved their goal, as this mp3 player is perfect in every which way. I use mp3 Sony mp3 player when I go to the gym or go out for a run. With 80 GB iPods on the market some people may think 1 GB of memory is no a lot. If you want better memory then you can buy a 2 GB version, which come in black. I have never had any problems with my Sony mp3 player. The sound quality is very high and the mp3 player its self is very durable. I have dropped this mp3 player many times and it still works perfectly. This mp3 player is very simple and easy to use. The battery life is good and usually lasts about 8 hours with music playback. ...I used this camera in November 2006 a friend of mine buy it, and all was perfect, i was surprised too for the easy to use. When i saw this camera was really surprised, because the quality, the simplicity and the price. The sound system is dolby digital Stereo, so is good quality. The lense are Carl Zeiss, fantastic lense. The hard disk 30Gb is a good space to save large video files, another thing is that this video camera can make photos, and the quality is very good. ...I actually bought this player at Christmas for my son, and I have to say, I wanted to keep it for myself. The players come in several trendy colours Black, Silver, Pink and Violet. The violet one being the one I have. The look and feel of the player is the thing that draws you to it, as it just seems to give you that quality feeling, as it comfortably sits into the palm of your hand. The sound quality is excellent, although it is restricted,and the 6 GB space is more than enough for anyone. The 6 GB is actually a small hard disk as opposed to solid state or flash. The imformation display seems to be part of the players actual casing, as the displayed information seems to radiate through the surface. Which again adds to the quality feel. The thing that really lets the Sony walkman down is the Sony "Connect" software that is supplied... Read review

Advantages: Fast Small and 80GB!

...After getting myself into the whole iMovie and DV camcorder thang, I realised that the tiny hard drive (10 Gb) in my iBook was not enough (1 hour of DV footage takes up 13 Gb), so I started looking for alternatives. As Firewire is the only high speed connection on the laptop, I looked around. Most 30-40Gb Hard drives for Firewire (Also Sony i.Link) were £250, but I saw this one by Maxtor - 80 Gb for under £350. The Box is smaller than I thought, and Graphite and ice to match the iBook, but it does come with an ugly and propriety power supply. Very fast was my first reaction. It can stream DV footage without any dropped frames - and thats 5 Mbytes/s. So, unless you are doing pro DV or something really demanding there is no point in buying the 75Gb drives out there that cost over £700 - the extra little bit of speed is really... Read review

...This even made my mum reflect on how far the walkman had come, I had 35 albums on something that is the size of a small matchbox. Incredible. Most people fob this off as a sony player that is overpriced, especially in a world of i-pods and loads of GBs. Well I for one wanted a player that wasn't an i-pod around 130 pounds. 1GB this model has and with the help of Sonys ATRAC plus (newer) compression, easily fits lots of songs on without a lack of quality. I must stress I am an audiophile and cannot tolerate bad sounding music. Coupled with the Fontopia silicone tipped suction thingy headphones it sounds very good indeed, even with such compression 35 albums - 1GB. ...I have one of these sony 2GB micro vaults and i could not live without it. The sony 2GB micro vault features 2GB of plug and play storage so there is no need to install drivers for this product as it does it for you once plugged into the computer. The sony 2GB micro vault uses a high USB 2.0 interface to connect to the computer to allow fast transfer of files. It is also compatible with USB 1.1 so the micro vault can be used on older computers aswell as newer ones. When you purchase the sony 2GB micro vault you will find a file compressor and decompressor ready installed on the memory stick. This takes hardly any space on the micro vault and is able to compress files down to three times their original size which is useful to safe space for extra files. i would advise that if the files are needed on a regular basis they should... ...laptop looks really good, it's a combination of black and silvery white plastic body and this two tone colour makes it look really cool and modern. It features a Intel Pentium Dual Core T2080 / 1.73 Ghz processor which runs the 1gb of ram very well, and you'll be surprised at quite how fast this is, maybe its just how fujitsu makes their laptops, but this with only 1gb of ram seems a lot faster than some of the other brands of laptop iv come across which also had 1gb of ram installed. Another good thing about this is that the 1gb of ram can be upgraded to 2gb, however this is quite pricy and will usually cost over £50. However if you do need more ram and a quicker laptop all round then this might be something to think about. This laptop contains what seems to be the bear minimum of hard drive space these days. ...I bought the MP3 player in early '05 and it has not failed me to date. It's smart with a hell of a lot of storage, I have over 50 albums on the player, which has not faultered since the start. The only problem is that when scrolling around for your favourite songs, you only have artist, album, genre type and what is known as a group folder. You can customize this folder in whatever way you want. Sonic Stage offers excellent interface for you to transfer songs easily, there is no hassle and you can toggle with different types of settings to maintain space on your HD player. There is a sound lock on European models, which can be easily hacked into. Taking care of the MP3 player will give you a lasting performance, battery performance is excellent too. ...that with this CPU and 1.5gb, you would deffinatly benefit from upgrading to vista from xp (just like i did). Even though 2 gb is recomended, i found this setup more than enough. One thing worth mentioning, this is one of the better overclockers out of thedual core range offered by amd, iv hit 2.7 ghz which performs like a 5200+!!! This cpu would sit comfortably in any system at 2.4ghz with slight increase in voltage though. The perfect ingredients for a budget vista setup would include this cpu as vista makes use of dual core for the operating system itself, 1.5gb of ram, although 2gb is fairly cheap now so you might as well go for that, and any graphics card that goes for £50 pounds. To summarise, this is a good upgrade path for anyone with an am2 socket motherboard with an Athlon 64 cpu. if you can manage to sell your existing cpu, with the money... Read review
