There is a facility on the camera to edit your movies, but I prefer to do this on a computer. The camera has a DV out socket (this is also known as iLink with Sony equipment - but is also known as firewire. This cable will connect to a firewire port on a computer. Transferring video to computer this way was incredibly fast and can be edited in Window Movie maker, scene by scene. This can then be burned on to a DVD re-writer or played back on the computer. Good quality video light

Advantages: Sony reliability, strong light
Disadvantages: Power hungry

...A video light that delivers either 10w or 20w, as you would expect it's a little power hungry but if like me you use NP-F950 batteries in your cameras, this takes the same size and so is not a problem. It also takes NP-F330/530/550/750 but if you want to use it in 20w mode i would recommend the NP-750 or higher. It fits onto any accessory shoe on any camera and throws a good light. I use it at weddings where its not practical to set up studio lights and it serves its purpose well. For close ups i tend to use 10w and for wider shots the 20w. Both can be a little harsh on faces and can cause people to squint, even though the light is diffused. You can diffuse it further with some tissue paper which gives a nice soft light. A good well made light that has it's place for the amateur or semi pro. Recommended....

...A small video light that is great for use with Sony cameras fitted with a 'Hot Shoe' not too much power - 3w but it is just the thing for when the light is just fading. Being a 'Hot Shoe' accessory means that it takes its power from the camcorders battery. So check your model before ordering one of these. It will not work independently!!! It's best feature is that it has an Auto setting, which means, slide the switch to the auto setting and the light will only come on when it gets dark. you can of course switch the light on manually as well. Tiny in size approx 2" or 4cm it takes up no room at all. A handy little light that has its uses, though probably not for serious enthusiasts....
