Sony at it's best

Advantages: great resolution and sound

...While visiting my friend's house last night, I can't help but to notice their new Sony LCD TV. I check the model and found out that it is a Sony KDL-52Z450052 inches. We already have a TV like this (see separate review) and its model was Bravia KDL-40Z450040 inches. I wonder what are the difference to its main features. I think its worth checking, so I borrowed its manual and compare it to ours. And here it goes. 1. Video : The video signal and display is much the same, both supports 1080/60p, 1080/60i, 1080/24p, 720/60p, 480/60p, 480/60i. 2. Measurements: Of course it differs on its weight and dimensions as I have a 40 inches and his LCD was a 52 inches. Sony KDL-46W5500 - awesome LCD TV with stunning pictures

Advantages: Stunning pictures, loaded with features, useful extra connection options
Disadvantages: Expensive - but it is a Sony

Sony packs a punch

Advantages: Stunning when used with blu ray and high definition broadcasts
Disadvantages: easily smudged screen and initially confusing menu

...Sony are just about the top of the league when it comes to audovisual fare. The Sony KDL40W5500 accordingly costs a pretty penny although if you know where to go it can be had for a pretty reasonable cost compared to lesser rivals. The set may look pretty but there are prettier rivals. The picture, when used with your own digital service or DVD, is pretty good with sharp colours and clear images. The sound is clear and distinct. I would recommend that you hang this set well out of the way since the screen easily picks up smudges from little fingers and pens/pencils can easily damage the rather fragile screen. All well and good you say but is it worth the money? Well kind of. The set really comes into its own when its doing what it is supposed to do with high definition broadcasts and movies. Logitech Z-5500...It will blow your head off!!!

Advantages: Very loud, very good quality, easy to set up
Disadvantages: Big and heavy subwoofer but that's to be expected!

..., I did some research on the type of connectors I would need and where to plug them in. As it turned out I could theoretically plug some speakers straight into the ps3 via optical cable to deal with games and films. So, pretty simple then...or not. I never thought it would be so hard to find some reasonably priced speakers! Almost all of the surround sound kits come with a DVD player which I did not need because of the ps3's ability to play them as well as Blue rays.... So after failing miserably to find any, I eventually came across the Logitech Z-5500 - and I'm glad that I did. ~ The Setup I Have Now Got ~ When I found these speakers I originally thought that they would not be suitable due to the fact that on the box it says they are to be used mainly for PC's - but this was printed long before the PS3 came about, apparently. ...Hi everyone, first review in a while, I don't get much time for a Ciao at the moment, GCSEs are beginning to get scarily close, but I thought I'd roll this one out for you on the monitor/HDTV that I've been using for a while. This Sony Bravia television is really nice. I thought I'd begin with that, and now move on. I'm using it right now; it is hooked up to our family computer via VGA cables, and works very nicely. It provides clear, crisp and punchy colours, with great brightness and contrast. I will now move on in more detail. ...to be honest what do you expect from something that costs this much and is made by a brand as big as sony, you expect it to be perfect, big and a work of art, well, it looks like a TV, big it is, but not the most stunning object you'll come across, although a nice looker for a TV. So thats one box ticked and another half ticked but is it really worth the money?
