Sony Camcorder Battery

Advantages: It can hold a very good charge

...In the past two years I have bought 4 of these batteries. I love these batteries because Sony have made most of their camcorders compatible with this battery. This meant that when I got my new camcorder for Christmas this year I was then able to transfer my old battery for a back-up. I have bought so many of these batteries because I do a lot of sightseeing. I have also choose this battery over any other because it holds an extremely good charge. I had came across times when I was standing in front of a beautiful landmark and I had no battery charge. After that experience any holidays, or events I got to I always bring at least one spare, charged battery as well as my own. ...The Sony HDR-CX7 camcorder is very well designed with plenty of features and records in high definition. The camcorder has a black outer shell with lines that add an executive look to it. The look will easily let people know you have an expensive and top of the range kit in your hands. The camcorder is amazingly compact taking into account all the features it has. It's actually 2.75" (W) x 2.75" (H) x 5.25" (D) and only weighing around 15 ounces including the card, battery and strap. Sony DCR DVD201E Camcorder

Advantages: Widescreen mode
Disadvantages: slow access to dvd, no separate memory card slot

...I suspect people may be surpised that I haven't included one of the main USP's (Unique Selling Point) as an advantage. This camcorder writes to mini-dvd's (-R/-RW) but thats not necessarily an advantage. I'll come back to that in a minute. Lets go through the good stuff first. The best thing is the widescreen mode. All TV's sold these days are widescreen and to be honest they have been widescreen for a number of years now so why manufactures have waited so long to release a camcorder with a widescreen mode is beyond me. ...Having spent £££ on a Sony digicam, I was a bit surprised that it didn't come with a case to protect my investment. So, about three months ago I bought the LCS-VA5 case for £39 from a supplier link on Ciao. This compact case is made of high quality materials and provides solid padding all round. The main compartment is semi-rigid with adjustable dividers to accomodate different sizes of camcorder.
