...The Playstation 2 has sold in excess of over 100 million consoles since it was released back in 2000. When orginally released the Playstation 2 was much larger in size than the slimline version which Sony released in 2004. I am going to look into what are the benefits of the new system and look at the good and bad features. Good Features The Slimline Playstation 2 is much quieter than the original console because it simply looks much better, the slim design is better on the eye and also it is less noisy as the console does not have a fan. Instead it uses air vents to keep the console cool. It does the job to be honest because I owned the console for over 2 years and it has never crashed or overheated. PS/2 Slimline a real tonic from Sony

...I should start by saying that I am not part of the PlayStation generation, I'm 44 and my first introduction to gaming outside of arcades was awarded to me as the result of an on line competition when I won a good old PSOne (yes, people do win those draws), that was about 7 or 8 years ago I guess. About 5 years ago I upgraded to the original PS/2 and have enjoyed many late nights / early mornings gaming on that till about 8 months ago when it gave up the ghost. With the launch of PS/3 'imminent' I thought I could wait for that - but Oh No it gets delayed and delayed again and my patience runs out. ...a regular fatter Playstation 2 I would say that it is probably not worth changing it for the slimline model, especially as the new Playstation 3 will be launched in 2006. Thumbs up for the Sony M2 memory card

Advantages: Good value for money (cheaper than most 2GB USB flash drives), and highly compact and portable
Disadvantages: Very small you so have to handle it really carefully

...I bought this memory stick for my Sony Ericsson Mobile phone back in December and it's still serving me well 6 months on, at the time I am writing this review. One of the desirable features of this product is its size. It's small compact nature means it can be easily popped in and out of your Sony Ericsson mobile phone at any time. At 2GB it can store about 500 MP3 files and about the same number of photos. It's also useful for storing PDF and word files if ever you don't a have a flash drive to hand You can also buy this memory card along with a USB card reader, which you just pop into your computer's USB port, and you're set to go. ...The sony VPL-ES2 is a great projector at a bargain price. I wil admit that I think it would struggle with large presentations with only having a 1500 lumen lamp. But for home use and for small scale office presentations this projector is just what you need. I bought this projector for watching films at home after selling my previous projector due to it being far too noisy. This projector is very different when it is on the sound from it is barely noticeable. If you've purchased a projector before then you'll know that the most important thing is the bulb life. Because when the bulb goes they can easily cost anywhere upwards from £300-£400. It is often a more economically viable option just to replace the projector. ...This is a great controller jus like the classic ps1/ps2 the design stayed the same. This is the perfect controller i can not say anything about the slick design. As you may know this controller is wireless so you may use it from newere in the room so no messy wires hanging around. And the batttery lasts very long i dont have to charge it very often but i dont play hours every day either. Only bad this about this controller is that unlike the ps1/ps2 controllers this does not have dual shock so no rumble :(.This is because sony could not get rights for the technology. This new design was released in September 2004 and overall, it is much prefered to its previous because of its weight, size, sound and mobility. In my opinion, the slimline model is much more attractive than the origonal one because it is so much smaller. The thickness of this product has been reduced to under 3cm which is almost one third the thickness of the older version. As a result, the PlayStation2 Slimline looks much more compact and in my view, the smaller the better.
