Point and shoot the Sony way!

Advantages: Great features, good image quality and all at a great price.
Disadvantages: Only a couple (see review)!

...The last camera review I wrote was on the fantastic Sony A700 DSLR and at the time I mentioned that Sony are still very new in the DSLR market, they are however very well established in the point and shoot market and the camera I am reviewing today (the Cyber-shot DSC-W220) is the latest in their fabulous Cyber-shot W range. It comes in the usual range of colours (silver, black, blue and red, with a pink version no doubt on the way soon). It was only released in March so it is still relatively new on the market but the price has come down fairly quickly, having been released at over £200 you can now pick one up for around the £140 mark. This is the first budget range Cyber-shot camera to feature many of the settings that were previously only found in Sony`s premium range. The premium features that can be found in this camera...

Chokes in low light, Sony CyberShot DSC-S950

Advantages: user friendly, good picture quality, smart looks
Disadvantages: bad focus, problems while shooting in low light

...To be honest I am basically a Sony sound system fanatic simply because I am a person to whom music means a lot, but it is also true I have an inherent weakness for the sony brand name itself. Although I am not a professional photographer but photography does interest me a lot and on top of that there are friends who are professionals in this field. I came across Sony Cybershot DSC-S950 through one of my friends, what attracted me was its silvery looks (not that it is available in silver only, pink and black variations are also available) and since it was there with him I borrowed it in order to try it out for a while. The slick looks impressed me a lot. Over all the quality seemed to me to be quite okay. I got excellent results shooting out doors with rapid shutter speed in IS ISO100 mode, in fact the 4x zoom did not hinder the picture...

Capture the perfct shot, with Sony Cyber-shot.

Advantages: Great zoom, and clear pictures.
Disadvantages: Quite highly priced, and not likely to be returned to you if you loose it.

Sony Ericsson K800I Cyber-shot, is it good?

Advantages: High quality camera, durable, easy to use.
Disadvantages: Quite heavy/bulky, occasional sticky analog.

...In my opinion, with its easy to use format, and un fiddly buttons, if your looking for something still high in good quality technology, but not too complicated mobile, then the sony ericsson k800i cyber-shot is the choice for you. It features a high quality camera of 3.2 megapixels, with xenon flas, it wont dispoint. In my opinion, from personal experience, i use nothing else than sony ericsson now, ive gone from nokia, to samsung, and ericsson has been by far the most reliable, durable, stylish choice. The only down fall about this phone is that the analog stick (like on most mobiles) tends to get 'sticky' when used for a long perios of time, making it difficult to move from icon to icon. ...Firstly, the camera pictured top left on this page, comes in black and silver. I bought this camera as an upgrade to the trusty and superb Canon A75. I'd still have the old camera were it not for the fact that I popped into Jessops (superb camera shop) one Sunday afternoon a few weeks back? "Just for a look" definitely wasn't going to buy anything, but you know how the story goes! Looking in the brightly lit display cabinets a couple of cameras caught my eye, so had to have a closer look. The friendly shop assistant grabbed Sony's H2 & H5 for me to look at and get the feel of, the H2 is basically the same camera but with a 1.8" screen & 6mp compared to the H5's 3" & 7.2mp CCD. Sensibility and my head should have told me to buy the H2 due to a lower price, but gadget lust, my heart and the pure hugeness of that giant screen...

SONY CYBER-SHOT??? IMPRESSIVE!!!

Advantages: Excellent pictures and the ofcourse equiped with the image stabilizing technology.
Disadvantages: Proprietary batteries and not surpisingly the "red eye problems".

Great Case For Sony Cyber-Shot Camera
