...I always thought it?s always wise to review a product all the more for cameras like Sony Cybershot DSC HX1 to have enough feel of it. Since I am not pro photographer, it takes me time to get acquainted it and then learnig to use all its features. I believe being an armature it gives an advantage to review because their inclination to understand and experiment with its features in depth. So I know the advantages that I will enjoy as an amateur, the pros will be able to do even greater justice to it. Since it is difficult for me to own such expensive cameras, I prefer to all on my friends tell me about it and let use it for a while. Sony Ericsson K800i Cybershot (update)

Advantages: 3.2mp camera
Disadvantages: annoying joystick!

...Please Note: Review was written quite a few months and has been updated. Why buy a digital camera when you can get an excellent camera and a phone in one! I had this sony ericsson k800i for about a year and a half and even though i must have dropped it like 100 times its still working really good! I've currently got another sony ericsson phone (see my review on c905). I'd say the camera on it is the best thing as it 3.2 mega pixel, the "cybershot" name pretty much gives it away on how sony erisson have made yet another gerat camera phone. As im always printing out actual photos in great quality, you would never guess they were from a phone. The camera section includes: Auto focus so the face is detected and makes taking photos easier, Picture blogging, Xenon flash which enables you to take good quality photos indoors and outdoors...

The sony range of camera caught my attention since they are a well known and the people who own sony cybershot cameras rate them highly. I paid £70 including postage for my the sony cybershot camera which I think is very good value for what you get. The first thing you notice with the camera is how good it looks, it's all silver and shiny, the Lcd monitor is 2.5 which is a very good size and it is very clear. ...To be honest I am basically a Sony sound system fanatic simply because I am a person to whom music means a lot, but it is also true I have an inherent weakness for the sony brand name itself. Although I am not a professional photographer but photography does interest me a lot and on top of that there are friends who are professionals in this field. I came across Sony Cybershot DSC-S950 through one of my friends, what attracted me was its silvery looks (not that it is available in silver only, pink and black variations are also available) and since it was there with him I borrowed it in order to try it out for a while. The slick looks impressed me a lot. Over all the quality seemed to me to be quite okay. I got excellent results shooting out doors with rapid shutter speed in IS ISO100 mode, in fact the 4x zoom did not hinder the picture...

However, when it comes to digital cameras, ever since owning the DSC-U30 I have always bought Sony, in particular the Cybershot range because of the design and great lenses. Capture the perfct shot, with Sony Cyber-shot.

Advantages: Great zoom, and clear pictures.
Disadvantages: Quite highly priced, and not likely to be returned to you if you loose it.

...optical zoom you can capture subjects from the distance, I didn't truly appreciate this until I'd lost this camea, and bought the Nixon Coolpix, of wich i would not recommend to anyone, it is significantly cheaper, but this shows in the quality of the pictures, the nikon coolpix s slim, and extremely lightweight, (Sony cyber-shot is neither, weighing 135g) but the Nikon's zoom, lacks any greatness. The sony cyber-shot is a great first hand camera, with easy to use features and simple, clear instructions. The buttons are clearly marked with what they are for, and overall this is a great camera, of which I was gutted to loose, and would love to have again....

...Alright, I bought this camera, somewhat 3 days ago and I am very happy with my decision of going for Sony Cybershot. First of all I needed a sleek camera with powerfull lens and nice zoom feature, since I had a nice 40" lcd, I wanted to have my camera a full HD support. Now voilla, this camera has all features and it is a great buy for me. Few of my mate suggested me to go for Canon and at one point I started to think over it. I saw canon and then compared the two cameras for the same price. T70 had smile shutter like canon, a nice 10MP lens like canon, face detection like canon, easy operation like canon. Then you must think that I should have gone for canon because afterall canon is only devoted for this photo things, like making cameras and handycam and all that stuff.
