My Sony TRV110
Review of Sony Handycam DCR TRV110E by
bevboys
Advantages: not too heavy, good first-user DV camera.
Disadvantages: LCD Screen usage can eat battery if used unecessarily
...My main reason for buying the Sony DCR-TRV110 was the price drop as new DCR products came on the market. This price drop allowed me to access digital video and the wonders that come with it.
As a teacher of information technology one thing had eluded me and that was using computers for video capture, and in particular digital video capture.
The use of the Sony DCR-TRV110 can range from simple record and playback to attaching it to a computer video capture card such as Pinnacle Studio DV and perfoming amazing feats of video editing.
Even without attaching the Sony DCR-TRV110 to a computer it boasts some pretty amazing features such as Titling, different type of shoot mode including 'old film' and Sepia toning. There is a great range of transitional effects for blending shots.
One of the other good features is the Sony patented...

GET YOUR REAL IMAGE WITH THIS CAM.
Review of Sony DCR-SR32E by
apatra
Advantages: FANTASIC PICTURES, GOOD FEATURES AND AN ALL ROUNDER.
Disadvantages: NOT THAT EASY TO USE.
...mins recordings and with 30GB hard disk drive.
I some times wonder why people don't actually use this video recording device for their daily video activities is it that it costs or that people prefer the use of camera phones well from some friends mouth, they say that camera phones are more economical and produces good quality pictures like the camcorders but I strongly disagree with that because this is specifically developed for the purpose of filming and on the second hand, it has a hard disk drive that will enable more recordings and savings.
Let me put the name in full the Sony DCR-SR32E uses memory stick pro duo with super steady shot image stabilizer and an external connection for exploitation of images that enables the camcorder to produce in black and white so you can make the camcorder also to produce...

The Excellent Sony DCR-PC8E
Review of Sony Handycam DCR PC8E by
paul_richards
Advantages: Really Easy to use and Excellent Touch Screen
Disadvantages: Batter doesn't last to long!
...This is truely an excellent Digital Camcorder, the touch screen display make setting all the features up really easy and makes them all quickly acessable. The Unit is really well made and has excellent conectivity via Firewire to your PC. The battery is not the best in the world and last a maximum of an hour and a half in normall conditions.
The Camcorder has a very good loading mechanism for the Mini-DV tapes, which are quite reasonably priced in most shops and even better on-line!
The DCR-PC8E is excellently laid out for all of the controls that are not provided by the touch screen and can all be used with your hand in the carrying strap.
Avaliablility of accessories as with all Sony Products is excellent...

Sony Handcam DCR SR55E
Review of Sony Handycam DCR SR55E by
Kulsum
Advantages: Easy to use
Disadvantages: Less than attractive appearance
...I have been using this product for a lengthy period of time, and have found it easy to use, despite my lack of technical experience. I was abl e to use all features with little difficulty, and feel that the price is suitable for the quality of both the product itself and the photos it priduces. It is a perfect size, and easy to carry around, therefore for holiday travellers, it is perfect for making photos to remember your holiday times.
I have recommended this to many of my friends, and I am sure that many of you will also enjoy using this product. Personally, I feel it was worth every penny, and feel it is a great bargain. So, for a good quality product, I would recommend this to everybody, and I had little problems with it....

Great buy, only if it was without the camera
Review of Sony Handycam DCR PC330E by
akelabanda
Advantages: High quality picture, lightweight
Disadvantages: Not suitable for photography, Highly priced
...The DCR PC 330 is one of the latest camcorder on the bloc. It boasts of a 3.3 mega pixel resolution picture quality.
I used the camcorder myself and I fully agree with that. The video quality is amazing and I can easily see the difference in video quality between the DCR TRV 355 digital 8 and the DCR PC 330E.
The design is compact. Though, it could have been a bit more smaller. It's still uncomfortable on medium and small sized hands. You will feel the itch when you suddenly decide to zoom in on a wanted object and start fumbling around. With the zooming button being placed near to the lens, it's difficult to reach for an average sized hand.
It would have been easier if they had interchanged the positions of the backlight, reset and focus buttons with the photo and zooming buttons.
The photo button is in such a position, you end up...
