...Considering how much effort sony invested in the blu-ray format, it was a weirdly long time getting players on o the market - players that weren't globe straddling games consoles, anyhow. And having finally got its finger out, the resulting BDP-300 is not quite the format-war-winning lap of honour you might expect. Though sturdily and attractivly built, up to sony's usual standards, loads discs relatively quickly and is simple to use, its not without compromises. It decodes hi-def audio on board, but cant send it via HDMI. It's missing BD 1.1 ability and has no ethernet port for future firmware upgrades. And picture quality, where you might expect it to claw back some credibility, raises a few more doubts. Any blu-ray disc feauring fast, unpredictable motion can flummox the BDP-300 - it doesnt judder , but theres less solidity than...

Sony's DSC-T300 Picture perfection !

Advantages: Stylish, trendy colours, large viewing screen, easy to navigate and use.
Disadvantages: Couldn't use SD storage cards in it, had to use Sony's Memory stick duo

...I have just purchased the Sony DSC-T300 here in Australia. I paid $A470 for it over here, and have been impressed with several points about it so far. WELL DESIGNED These include the elegant design - I like the fact that mine is a snazzy red colour, as I invariably mislay things by accident. The red makes it more visible to find as well as looking stylish. EASY TO READ TOUCH SCREEN The 3.5 inch screen is delightful after my previous digital cameras. How could I have existed without it ? Not being used to touch panel technology ( more used to twiddling knobs or pressing buttons) I am rapidly becoming a convert to pressing the touch panel screen. Sony DVD GX300 - Another good one from Sony

Advantages: Good quality, reliable, good picture

...Those who have read my reviews on other electrical goods may recognise that I have a lot of bias towards Sony products and my latest acquisition is the Sony GX300 DVD recorder. OK it is not a top of the range model with hard-drive recording, but at a price of £300 less 10 pence from Comet it is has proved a very reliable machine since we bought it last Xmas (2004). The installation of the machine was every bit as easy as the Sony video recorders, which I also own - in fact it took me more time setting up an aerial feed from my aerial booster box (a must-have if you wish to connect more appliance - the subject of another review I think) than it did tuning it all in. I plugged in the aerial lead to the aerial-in socket on the DVD. In the aerial-out socket, you can plug in the lead supplied and from there into the aerial-in socket...

Sony Alpha A200 (Digital SLR)

Advantages: Price, brand, quality
Disadvantages: Manual modes

...camera is compatible with the old Minolta lenses - which are cheaper and often better that the Sony ones (for more advanced photos). The manual settings are easy to use, however are a little rigid, and I find do not give you the same flexibility as some of the more expensive digital SLRs or manual ones (Cannon ones are very good for this), however for the price of the Sony, the settings are reasonable. Down to the most important point - image quality. I cannot really find fault with this at all, and this is comparable to some of the much more expensive Canon and Pentax SLRs! The lens provided with this camera is not the best for very close up and macro photography, however it tends to perform very well for any other shots - and there is always the option to change to a better lens for these purposes. ...I recently bought this cam sony cybershot DSC t300. Its an ultimate piece of work by sony people. The best part is its super steady pic. I got amazed the the shopkeeper cliked the pic of fan moving at its full speed, and it was a super steady pic like the fan was never moving. Sony is always good in colours department. The pictures are quite bright full of vibrant colours. It doesnt have much optical zoom, goes as a negative effect. But tahts because sony perople have gifted us a ulti slim cam. Almost pocket sized cam. It has got a smiley feature which actually detects smiles while clicking ( although i haven't understood that feature well). Else it has got auto focus as well as touch focus. Sorry i forgot to mention that it has got a bright display, which is TOUCH SCREEN so its a pleasure using the cam. Its definitely value for money...

There are many of these frames to choose from ranging from as low as £25 for a 7? frame upto and above £80 for this Sony frame. ...What can you say about the Sony Cyber shot DSC T300 Digital camera? Well, you can say an awful lot that's what, I purchased this camera around 3 months ago and it hasn't left my side. The frame of the camera is so tactile and easy to use, the front of camera slider removes the need to switch it on as sliding down also switches camera on. On the rear the touchscreen interface is incredibly easy to use with your index finger or thumbs. Settings are simple and once again easy to use. Photo's are amazing quality considering the machine is so small, however you forget is has a 10.1 mega pixel capacity. This camera rivals my Nikon D50 which is astounding. Chuck in a memory card and you're away. Battery life is good also....

Is the PLAYSTATION3 Worth £300?

Advantages: Powerful System with Great Graphics and Sound.
Disadvantages: Incompatible with PS and PS2 games.

....5/10 The PS3 is the largest of the 7th Gen Consoles, and has a glossy black finish, it says PLAYSTATION3 in silver text across the top/front and the Power button and Eject button are both Touchscreen buttons. Value 7.5/10 The PS3 Currently sells for £300 in PC World with Ratchet and Clank 5 bundled in with it which some think is overpriced, although I think it's decent, and it isn't too far off the 360 now. Extra Features 8/10 The online play isn't on par with Xbox Live, but it's also free, the PS3 also allows you to browse the internet on your TV and download things onto it's 40GB Internal Harddrive.
