Great Case For Sony Cyber-Shot Camera

Recording time for both is up to 90mins. When you use the hi8 tape, you really get near digital-quality results, and even with the standard 8mm tape, I was surprised at the excellent quality produced - The CCD imaging gives off 460,000 pixels. The other benefit with these 8mm tapes is that they are cheaper than the mini DV tapes that many digital camcorders use these days. OK, the TR7000 isn't as small as some of these more modern ones, but if fits comfortably in the hand just a little bigger than a palm-corder and extremely light weighing in...

Canon IXUS 95 IS: The best amateur digital camera on the market

Disadvantages: The bundled software that comes with it has a very Fisherprice feel about it.

The camera itself has a metal casing and so has a sleek feel and look to it. It's very light weight and compact making it very easy to carry around in a handbag or while, (and most importantly) taking pictures! I found that it took only 5 - 10 minutes to get the camera working from out of the box. It was so simple, I didn't take that much notice of the manual. When starting up the camera, it isn't slow like they digital cameras of yesteryear. Its ability to capture anything in an instant is one of it's many advantages. ...I bought this camera from marks and spencers for £279.99. This camera is great due to all the features that it has. It has a great 12x optical zoom, which even at 9x or 10x zoom, the pictures look quite clear and well taken photos. It has a good image stabilisation feature which allows you to take photos even if the object of person is moving very fast. Its battery life is quite good compared to most ordinary cameras which allows you to take 250 photos on average. It is a 10.1 megapixel camera which has a very high number of pixels for each picture, and I can say this is definitely so when I upload my pictures onto my laptop as the pictures are VERY clear and they still look good when zoomed in by half the size of the picture....

...camera is compatible with the old Minolta lenses - which are cheaper and often better that the Sony ones (for more advanced photos). The manual settings are easy to use, however are a little rigid, and I find do not give you the same flexibility as some of the more expensive digital SLRs or manual ones (Cannon ones are very good for this), however for the price of the Sony, the settings are reasonable. Down to the most important point - image quality. I cannot really find fault with this at all, and this is comparable to some of the much more expensive Canon and Pentax SLRs! The lens provided with this camera is not the best for very close up and macro photography, however it tends to perform very well for any other shots - and there is always the option to change to a better lens for these purposes. Overall - excellent camera...

...I just bought this camera today and still experimenting and playing around with it. So far it'a a very nice and small camera. It looks pretty and is very light as well. Much better to carry around than my old Sony P200, as it was a bit chunky. The Smile Shutter function is the most exciting thing about the camera, coz it works...sometimes. It doesn't take a smiling picture from certain angles, so if you are not facing the camera and smile it won't take the picture. I.e. you have to face the camera properly and head not too far up OR down otherswise it won't take it either. And sometimes it reacts slower so it takes the picture half way finishing off the smile and/or you have half your eyes closed, coz it reacted a milisecond late or something. I find it a bit tricky to hold the camera sometimes, as the touch screen is very big...
