...I always thought it?s always wise to review a product all the more for cameras like Sony Cybershot DSC HX1 to have enough feel of it. Since I am not pro photographer, it takes me time to get acquainted it and then learnig to use all its features. I believe being an armature it gives an advantage to review because their inclination to understand and experiment with its features in depth. So I know the advantages that I will enjoy as an amateur, the pros will be able to do even greater justice to it. Since it is difficult for me to own such expensive cameras, I prefer to all on my friends tell me about it and let use it for a while. Chokes in low light, Sony CyberShot DSC-S950

Advantages: user friendly, good picture quality, smart looks
Disadvantages: bad focus, problems while shooting in low light

...To be honest I am basically a Sony sound system fanatic simply because I am a person to whom music means a lot, but it is also true I have an inherent weakness for the sony brand name itself. Although I am not a professional photographer but photography does interest me a lot and on top of that there are friends who are professionals in this field. I came across Sony Cybershot DSC-S950 through one of my friends, what attracted me was its silvery looks (not that it is available in silver only, pink and black variations are also available) and since it was there with him I borrowed it in order to try it out for a while. The slick looks impressed me a lot. Over all the quality seemed to me to be quite okay. I got excellent results shooting out doors with rapid shutter speed in IS ISO100 mode, in fact the 4x zoom did not hinder the picture...

Sony's DSC-T300 Picture perfection !

Advantages: Stylish, trendy colours, large viewing screen, easy to navigate and use.
Disadvantages: Couldn't use SD storage cards in it, had to use Sony's Memory stick duo

...I have just purchased the Sony DSC-T300 here in Australia. I paid $A470 for it over here, and have been impressed with several points about it so far. WELL DESIGNED These include the elegant design - I like the fact that mine is a snazzy red colour, as I invariably mislay things by accident. The red makes it more visible to find as well as looking stylish. EASY TO READ TOUCH SCREEN The 3.5 inch screen is delightful after my previous digital cameras. How could I have existed without it ? Not being used to touch panel technology ( more used to twiddling knobs or pressing buttons) I am rapidly becoming a convert to pressing the touch panel screen. Sony Cybershot DSC-W200

Advantages: High Pixel Count, Sharp Images, Face Detection, Image Stabilization, Stylish, Manual Setting
Disadvantages: Cost, High Compression

...I bought this camera to replace my 7 megapixel DSC-P200 which was suffering from excessive dust on the sensor which was ruining otherwise perfect images. I was attracted by the 12 megapixels of the W200, but upon comparison between the 2 cameras, it is almost impossible to tell the difference in image quality. The main difference is the High Definition output, meaning the images are much brighter and colourful on the computer screen than non HD cameras like the P200. Although the images are not true High Definition on regular computer screens, they are still of better quality than non-HD models. I am quite an investigative shopper and spend hours and days reviewing and comparing models and specifications. It has always proved useful and I hope to pass on my findings from endless researching, and lately testing of the Sony Cybershot...

Sony Cybershot DSC T300

...I recently bought this cam sony cybershot DSC t300. Its an ultimate piece of work by sony people. The best part is its super steady pic. I got amazed the the shopkeeper cliked the pic of fan moving at its full speed, and it was a super steady pic like the fan was never moving. Sony is always good in colours department. The pictures are quite bright full of vibrant colours. It doesnt have much optical zoom, goes as a negative effect. But tahts because sony perople have gifted us a ulti slim cam. Almost pocket sized cam. It has got a smiley feature which actually detects smiles while clicking ( although i haven't understood that feature well). Else it has got auto focus as well as touch focus. Sorry i forgot to mention that it has got a bright display, which is TOUCH SCREEN so its a pleasure using the cam. Its definitely value for money...

Review of Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T300

Point and shoot the Sony way!

Advantages: Great features, good image quality and all at a great price.
Disadvantages: Only a couple (see review)!

...The last camera review I wrote was on the fantastic Sony A700 DSLR and at the time I mentioned that Sony are still very new in the DSLR market, they are however very well established in the point and shoot market and the camera I am reviewing today (the Cyber-shot DSC-W220) is the latest in their fabulous Cyber-shot W range. It comes in the usual range of colours (silver, black, blue and red, with a pink version no doubt on the way soon). It was only released in March so it is still relatively new on the market but the price has come down fairly quickly, having been released at over £200 you can now pick one up for around the £140 mark. This is the first budget range Cyber-shot camera to feature many of the settings that were previously only found in Sony`s premium range. The premium features that can be found in this camera...

Sony Cybershot DSC-T70 is awesome!!

Advantages: sleek, great looks, light weight, great hd picture quality, great movie experience, easy functions

...Alright, I bought this camera, somewhat 3 days ago and I am very happy with my decision of going for Sony Cybershot. First of all I needed a sleek camera with powerfull lens and nice zoom feature, since I had a nice 40" lcd, I wanted to have my camera a full HD support. Now voilla, this camera has all features and it is a great buy for me. Few of my mate suggested me to go for Canon and at one point I started to think over it. I saw canon and then compared the two cameras for the same price. T70 had smile shutter like canon, a nice 10MP lens like canon, face detection like canon, easy operation like canon. Then you must think that I should have gone for canon because afterall canon is only devoted for this photo things, like making cameras and handycam and all that stuff. ...Firstly, the camera pictured top left on this page, comes in black and silver. I bought this camera as an upgrade to the trusty and superb Canon A75. I'd still have the old camera were it not for the fact that I popped into Jessops (superb camera shop) one Sunday afternoon a few weeks back? "Just for a look" definitely wasn't going to buy anything, but you know how the story goes! Looking in the brightly lit display cabinets a couple of cameras caught my eye, so had to have a closer look. The friendly shop assistant grabbed Sony's H2 & H5 for me to look at and get the feel of, the H2 is basically the same camera but with a 1.8" screen & 6mp compared to the H5's 3" & 7.2mp CCD. Sensibility and my head should have told me to buy the H2 due to a lower price, but gadget lust, my heart and the pure hugeness of that giant screen...
