A Great DVD Player - SONY DVP-NS330
Advantages: Excellent quality, looks good/ modern, can play most formats
Disadvantages: Cannot play PAL in colour eg some extreme sports DVD's or old movies
...I bought this DVD Player about 2 years ago now for £99 from a high street shop which I thought was a total bargain seeing as it is a Sony. I have never had any problems with it at all and find it plays most formats of DVD. It also plays mp3s, DVD - RW / -R/ +RW and + R discs.
QUALITY - Visual quality is fantastic, playing all DVDs in really sharp colour, it doesn't seem to stop halfway through a disc for a second like other DVD players do. The sound quality is pretty good with the capability of Dolby Surround which is a bonus for most people as a lot of people now have surround sound systems.
You can also connect it to a Sony stack which would be like your hi-fi or something if you don't have a Sony hi-fi.
It is a scart unit also which is good because you do not have to tune it in or anything. (Make sure your TV or other...

Compact and feature packed Sony player
Advantages: Supports a number of formats, Affordable
Disadvantages: Doesn't record
...I purchased the Sony DVP-NS330 DVD player earlier this year and was, and still am very impressed. It’s a simplistic but effective player. I chose this player for a number of reasons including the Sony brand.
The player itself is compact and sleek, very attractive and slim-line. It is finished in metallic silver and has a fairly large display. The controls on the unit are organised very well. The player features a dial used for searching and can also be pressed to play a disc. Other than that there are only six other buttons which control the basic functions, this adds to the simplicity of the design. The player has one scart socket in the back.
The remote control provided is quite large and bulky. However it features a large number of buttons. These are laid out in an organised fashion and help the user effectively control...

sony
Advantages: Good performance--for first 6 months
Disadvantages: The all-too-common C:13:00 error
...This player worked fine for 6 months---and I was relatively happy with it's performance. It had component video and was relatively inexpensive--only real complaint was lack of CD-R support.
Unfortunately, I started having problems with it making it through an entire movie w/o getting stuck. Within a matter of a month it has progressed to a point where it requires a hard reset 3-5 times to get through a single movie.
I contacted Sony about the issue, and their response was that since it was "SO FAR" beyond their warranty period (apparently 8 months is SO FAR beyond a reasonable life expectency for their lousy product) that there was nothing they could do. They were also uninterested in the additional complaints I cited on this and other consumer review sites...

From Puzzled Mum to Child's Play
Advantages: Good quality sound and picture, Slimline Appearance.
Disadvantages: I need one for the kids now.
...Too good to be true... a Sony multi-region DVD player for so cheap! Well, that's what I intially thought anyway. Serves me right for not trusting amazon.co.uk.
Delivered for free and just in time for Christmas usage, the DVP-NS330 is probably one of the best beginner DVD players your hard earned cash could be spent on at the moment. Although a friend of mine who bough the same model had some trouble when her four year old TV was playing some of her DVD's in black and white. (This turned out to be a problem with the age of the TV not a problem with the DVD player!).
As with most Sony products, the player comes with cool, crisp lines and the unmistakable Sony style. The build quality is good, although it does feel a little light when you first remove it from the packaging. The mechanism is quiet and efficient, and the LCD display is...

Enter the Sony!
Advantages: Packed with extras, looks good and feels good.
Disadvantages: See review for the very minor con`s.
...Sony are one of the newest companies to venture into the world of DSLR`s, having been producing some quite excellent point and shoot cameras for many years this is a move that most people in the photography world had expected to happen a long time ago and a lot had feared the day it did happen too.
The reason many photographers feared Sony entering the DSLR market is simply that it would be hard not to get drawn into what they had to offer but they feared that Sony might find the market too challenging and bale out leaving many photographers with cameras that they could not upgrade and would struggle to find lenses and accessories for.
When buying a point and shoot camera you are spending in the region of between 100 and 200 pounds for a top of the range model, whilst when purchasing a DSLR camera you could be looking at spending...

Another 5 star Sony!
Advantages: Great functions, east to use, looks and feels good and produces great images.
Disadvantages: The kit lens isnt the best and no live view may bother some.
...For a while now I have been receiving private mails on both Dooyoo and on Ciao asking me to review the Sony A200 DSLR camera, this is because I have made mention of it in a few of my camera reviews lately but never actually got down to doing a full write up on it.
I haven't reviewed it previously for a couple of reasons mainly though that I had up until now only had a few hours experience of the unit.
Now with a whole weeks shooting with it under my belt and over 1000 pictures taken with it I feel much more capable of writing a thorough review on it. For anyone who has not read any of my previous camera reviews, I am a professional photographer and test many of the cameras I review rather than owning them.
So onto the Sony A200 then, well Sony are very new to the DSLR market even though they have been making point and shoot...

Sony And Conscious
Advantages: Wait a minute, it's in the review
Disadvantages: Not many but the ones there are pretty shrill
...Tiny little professional. That’s what I call Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-T900. It’s perfectly aware what is expected of it, and does it with aplomb and alacrety. It is impressive and impressive all the way. It’s not just like that billions world over think of Sony first and then any body else while choosing a camera and prepaid pay for it.
THE DESIGN:
The Sony Cyber-Shot DSC T900, is an elegant, stylish, ultra compact digital camera with almost all the latest of technologies tucked inside it. Boasting of class with metal body , sliding front plate and folded optics. The wrist strap wounds up from the right to behave as a thumbrest. Just the power and shutter buttons right on top. The zoom ring loops the shutter release and a switch behind the ring to toggle between capturing movies and stills. Playback control is at the top...

A Sony fit for a pro!
Advantages: Too many to list, please see review!
Disadvantages: None worthy of a mention in my opinion.
...After writing countless of camera reviews on here as well as on a few other review sites on many different types of point and shoot cameras and DSLR`s that I have used or tested I thought it might be about time to write a review on one of the more upmarket DSLR`s that I own and use in my business as a professional photographer.
I own three high end DSLR bodies and the one I have chosen to review for you today is the Sony A700, this was the top of the line Sony DSLR until the recent release of the A900 and it is an expensive piece of kit but one that will produce not just great images but professional images if used correctly. It has many functions and settings and would no doubt be very confusing to a novice but if you have used a beginner level DSLR then you would or should be able to pick up how this camera works very quickly.
In...

Simply Sony
Advantages: Good looks, easy use, great MP3 player, built-in transmitter
Disadvantages: Slow start-up procedure, no flash on camera
...fancy gubbins on it, but I would like it to play music. I like music, but I didn't have an MP3 player. The choice, as far as the mobile shops (and the websites, gadget mags and, to be fair, most of my customers) were concerned was simple: it had to be either the iPhone, with its multi-touch screen, Olga Kurylenko looks and much-heralded iPod music player built in, or Blackberry's new Storm which, despite being more Penny Smith to the iPod's Natasha Kaplinsky, is fitted with as much, if not more, software and a very clever 'clickable' touchscreen.
But I wanted neither. My phone of choice was the Sony Ericsson W980. Understated, elegant and, first and foremost, a mobile phone. It's a flip-design that, when opened up, reveals a classic Sony Ericsson simple design and familiar interface. The keys are responsive, nicely laid out (except...

Sony Playstation 3 (PS3)
Advantages: Best Entertainment System Avaliable, Region free games only
Disadvantages: 4GB file limitation External Storage, Cant read NTFS
...I am going to be reviewing possibly one of the biggest console in the market currently the PS3. Firstly I have one and it is great, now let's take a look at it in detail:
LAUNCH
November 11, 2006: This is when it debut in Japan
November 17, 2006: It released in North America
March 23, 2007: Finally was released in Europe, Australia, the Middle East, Africa and New Zealand.
The UK launch was a shock for who went to it, as it was announced that everyone in the queue would receive a 46" Sony Bravia TV worth £2000.
The launches did not turn out great for Sony as initial figures were low, here are the figures below:
Worldwide: 5.59 Million - Japan 1,341,000 - North America 2,105,500 - Other 1,300,000
The launch was initially supposed to be as follows:
November 11th for Japan and November 17th for North America...
