Sony DVP-NS355 CD/DVD Player

Advantages: Multi-Region
Disadvantages: Scart cable not included

...If like me, you're not techno-wise, then this could be one of the best-buy DVD players you could ever purchase. I bought this DVD player over 2 months ago as part of a Sony TV package, and for a first-buy DVD, it turned out to be very good. Like most consumers, my main concerns were reliability, specs. / features and value for money - and it scores high on all three! Sony got it right with this budget DVD player. Don't be fooled by the price - this player will impress you! Some specifications: Slim entry DVD player Playback modes: DVD Video, DVD - RW /+ RW, DVD - R / +R, SVCD, VCD, Audio CD, MP3 and JPEG - Plus much, much more... This player is easy to install, so don't be put off by the amount of instructions in the manual. The remote control is relatively easy to operate and comes with batteries supplied. It...

Sony DVP-NS355 CD/DVD Player

Advantages: Ultra slim and very easy to use.
Disadvantages: No scart lead supplied and not Multi-region.

...I've been using this DVD player for a few months now and it came as part of a deal with my Sony TV. I have to say that it has to be the best DVD player I have had to date in terms of quality and features. Despite having no scart lead in the box, it was no dilema as I have a few spare about the house but I guess it can be very frustrating to anyone that doesn't, purely for the inconvenience of having to buy one seperately. I did however find some audio leads a free Toy Story DVD feature film in the box, which was a nice suprise. I'm not sure if this is a standard freebie with the DVD player. It plays DVD's, DVD-RW, CD's, VCD and Data CD. I have found this product very easy to use, I like the fact that I can stop the DVD during play, then resume at a later point exactly where I'd stopped it. (even when the power off button is...

Sony DVD is the one for me

Advantages: Does everything I want it to do.
Disadvantages: Not a recorder. No SCART lead.

...Introduction = I'd delayed getting a DVD player for as long as possible because I thought the price would come down as they became more popular. In addition, the increasing popularity of DVDs meant that videos were really cheap so I made the most of the cheap videos. Unfortunately, with the rise of DVDs, it became much harder to get hold of videos so I finally decided that maybe it was worth getting one. As we were getting married, we decided it made sense to put it on our wedding list rather than buy it ourselves. I therefore cannot comment on the price as I do not know how much it was. For those of you who don't yet have a DVD player, there are many advantages of DVDs over videos (other than that they are easier to come by). Firstly, they improved sound and image quality (I guess similar to the difference between...

wow ....what amazing DVD player

Advantages: Its slim look, best working, easy to operate
Disadvantages: none

...Sony has already manufactured a lot of fantastic things and DVPNS355 is also one of them. It contain great qualities and very easy to operate. ITS LOOK It has a stylish sleek look. Its dark silver color is dashing. Not very heavy, I mean easy to move. Its dimensions are 42 x 4 x 24 cm. Some buttons are on the face of the player but mostly it is controlled by remote. The Disk tray move smoothly inside and outside. QUALITIES IT has a lot of great qualities and features some of them are described below. In the box there are 4 things DVD player, remote control + its batteries, booklet, and warranty card. All the installment procedure is available in the booklet. But I was worry about booklet that it is quiet complex not...

Sony DVP NS355

Advantages: To many to List!
Disadvantages: SCART lead doesn't come with it.

...I've used this DVD player for about 5 months now and it's been fine! I was looking for a DVD player for a while now, I didn't want to spend to much and I thought the price for this one wasn't to bad and had liked the look of it, so I bought it. When I bought it, as well as the DVD player there was a remote control, batteries for the remote control, an audio-video cable & an instruction manual. I found it use ful that they gave you batteries as you normally have to go out and buy them yourself. There was no SCART lead so I was little dissapointed. It wasn't that bad though as there not hard to find. You'll probably want to buy a SCART lead to connect your DVD player to your TV You can play: DVDs Audio CDs Data CDs (It recognises JPEG & MP3 files) VCDs I didn't actually bother using the instruction manual, apart from when I...

You can tell its a sony

Advantages: Stlyish sleek look, easy to use, high quiality, everything else
Disadvantages: none

...The Sony DVPNS355 is a very good looking machine. Its easy to tell its made by sone, with such high quality build and design. Definately worth paying the extra. The buttonsand display are both nice and crystal clear and easy to read. There are 3 S-video connections, you also get the cables. The picture and sound are simply fantastic, especially with a decent set of sony speakers. It also comes with virtual surround, for those of use lucky to have it on our TV. The disc tray glides in and out nice and smoothly , and it takes the player a few moments to read the disc. The player will play region 1 dvd`s easily. You just have to put the disc in the tray and play it. Also cd`s , burnt cds , jpeg pictures and mp3s are all fine. It is simple to install and everything from the booklet to the remote control is easy to understand...

Sony DVD Player

Advantages: Durable and with great sound and picture quality.
Disadvantages: None come to mind.

...This Sony DVD player is incredible. This is without a doubt the best DVD player I have ever owned. It is attractive, sleek, and appealing. It is also very durable. When I first received it I dropped it accidentally and I thought it was broken for sure. It turns out it was just scuffed. So I took to my TV right away and hooked it up. It was great. It played all my DVD's and never overheated. I used it plenty of times and I still have it and it is still one of the smartest purchases I have ever made. If you have the chance and the money handy to pick up this product I would suggest you did. Hopefully you will have the same great experience as me except for the dropping it part well enjoy....

Does exacly what is says on the tin..

Advantages: Plug and play. Easy setup.
Disadvantages: Non-recordable.

...If you haven't joined the 21st century yet and do not yet own a DVD player then look no further than this Sony DVD player. It was so simple to set up that within 5 minutes of opening the box I was watching my first movie on DVD. It comes with the following features: Multi-region MP3 CD-R/RW VCD CD-R/RW Playback SVCD DVD CD JPEG Viewing Remote Control You will need to buy a scart lead as this is not supplied and the only disadvantage is that you cannot record in DVD format. The recordable ones are much more expensive although they are slowly coming down in price as the competition increases. However, if you want an easy-to-use and easy-to-setup dvd player from, what I consider to be, the best maker of electronics then look no further....

Sony BlueRay player BDP-350

Advantages: price, performance, design
Disadvantages: none comes to mind

...I got this BlueRay player free with my new full HD lcd tv which is also Sony, having already got a PS3 games console which has a BlueRay player built in, i was'nt sure if i needed it or not, how wrong i was its absolutely awsome, it looks great with the rest of my Sony equipment and it performs better than other BlueRay players i know of, Sony having invented BlueRay obviously know what to put in there equipment for it to perform so good and so reliable, if your watching Blueray for the first time you will be astonished by the clarity and depth of the film you are watching, i recommend you watch a film on normal dvd resolution then watch the same film on BlueRay and you will see the difference and you will also notice things you didnt see in the normal dvd, its that good! going back to the design it stands about 5cm thick and is...

Slim Is Beautiful

Advantages: Super Slim Design, Childproof Lock
Disadvantages: No Record Button, NO scart lead provided

...on these. BUT... heres is the worst thing about it, after playing a movie i had to re-adjust my centre speaker cos the audio was not loud enough on the CD, but with a bit of tamering with it, the audio with a DVD now matches the CD because of the built in DTS settings control. (nice one Sony) If you have any other sony products in your collection then you know how long and thin the remote is, two tone gray with a tv power and volume button (!) As for other features on the remote, the player has the basic play, rew, stop eject buttons only: you can select display chapter or title. surround settings. 4 setings(being a DTS player). angle potions. subtitles. L or R channel audio selection. picture mode, light dark med screen settings. time remaining etc. some buttons at the bottom of the remote are: DISPLAY: it brings up...
