Orange SPV E200 - Smartphone or Costly Mistake?

Advantages: Digital camera/Video Camera, Windows Smartphone 2003 operating system, Bluetooth
Disadvantages: Very poor battery life, have to buy SD/MMC card

The new CPD-E200

...I have recently built my own system from scratch. After looking at many reviews in magazines and the web, the monitor I decided to go for was the CPD-E200, as it had some excellent write-ups and for the price, was said to be in a class of it's own for a 17" monitor. Unfortunately, as soon as I tried to order it, it was discontinued :-( Fortunately, it was going to be replaced by the CPD-E220 :-) The E220 is, for all intense and purposes, the same monitor as the E200. It looks the same, it has exactly the same specs and the price is the same too. Probably just a propagander plot by Sony. However, the monitor displays a near perfect picture at very high resolution. I have taken it up to 1280 x 1024 and it looks a treat (except that you cant see the icons because they are so small). I use it at 1124 x 768 and find it suits my eyes...

Flatter is better

...I bought the Sony E200E about 6 months ago, i am very pleased with it. I had been looking for a new monitor for a while and when i saw this one i fell for it. The tube is flat and when i say flat its flat, max resolution is 1600x1200 but i wouldnt recommend it i found 1024x768 great at 100hz refresh rate. The control Functions are done by a single toggle button which i found very easy to use. There are all the usual features to adjust like picture width and height and loads more extras that you won't believe. The monitor came with a driver diskette which went in easy. I would have liked it if the input cable would have been detachable but you cant have it all. The picture is excellent and the colour excellent to.   Another 5 star Sony!

Advantages: Great functions, east to use, looks and feels good and produces great images.
Disadvantages: The kit lens isnt the best and no live view may bother some.

...For a while now I have been receiving private mails on both Dooyoo and on Ciao asking me to review the Sony A200 DSLR camera, this is because I have made mention of it in a few of my camera reviews lately but never actually got down to doing a full write up on it. I haven't reviewed it previously for a couple of reasons mainly though that I had up until now only had a few hours experience of the unit. Now with a whole weeks shooting with it under my belt and over 1000 pictures taken with it I feel much more capable of writing a thorough review on it. Their range is very diverse and as they have taken a lot of the design including the lens fitments from the old Minolta brand, you can buy many second hand lenses and flashguns for these cameras, just as you can for the Canons and Nikons that have been around forever. The Sony DSLR range started out with the rather unimpressive A100 but this was quickly superseded by the A200 which was much more impressive both in functionality and in looks, these looks have been carried through the range right up to the A700 and all these DSLR`s look and feel very impressive. Sony Playstation 3 (PS3)

Advantages: Best Entertainment System Avaliable, Region free games only

...about this section is that it may be impressive now but soon it won't be as much, as computers are advancing rapidly now e.g. dual core, quad core games will be maybe 5 times better than the ps3 will be able to show. So if you are one of those people who wants to get the most they can from games then go with PC instead as it is easy to upgrade and games will continue to improve. The GPU was developed by NVIDIA and Sony, This graphics card is similar to NVIDIA 7800. This tells me that already the pc has a better graphics card than the PS3 as NVIDIA has released 8800 ULTRA and soon will be releasing 9 series. Just makes you wonder how long it will be before Sony decides to make you buy a PS4. My bet is within 3-4 years.
