Sony Ericsson K310i budget camera phone fun to use

Advantages: Good value, lots of features, very long battery life

...I bought this phone about three or four months ago and I am generally pleased with it. I am not bothered about using all the functions, personally, so this review is about those I use. I am not a big mobile phone user and really only use it for occasional phone calls and text messages - both sending and receiving. I bought it in one of the big Tesco stores and I think I paid about £54 for it - I have just looked it up and it is now advertised there at £59.97 which includes £20 free air time. ...Its very hard to find a mobile phone at present that has a great feature without having to compromise with something else. This phone goes against the odds. I was looking for a phone with the following: - A camera - Ability to use abroad - A decent memory space - A decent screen that can be seen in sunlight - Ability to connect to a computer to print out photos etc. I had a good shop around for a few days and the Sony Ericcson K310i had all of the above features and more! The second best phone at matching the above criteria I could find for under £100 was the Motorola V3, but that had a tiny 6MB space as opposed to the k310i's 15MB! ...after just a year. Many of my friends with Sony Ericsson joystick phones are also experiencing this problem, which is extremely irritating and seems to be a basic design flaw. A great buy if you're lucky with the joystick, but those who want a phone guaranteed for a long time should look elsewhere. Or at the very least, make sure you take out extended cover!...

...I have always had a Sony Ericsson phone eversince i brought my first phone when i was very young. I really like the make and have never had any problems with Sony Ericsson phones, however i brought the W580i sometime last year and have been a bit dissapointed with its performance. I brought the phone from the carphone warehouse as i could it on the network that i wanted and for the first 6 months everything was fine but all of a sudden i began to have problems with the screen. I took it back to the shop and was told that this was quite a common problem with this model of phone. It was sent off to be repaired twice and has been ok since *touch wood!* The walkman on the phone is brilliant, it holds lots of music and the sound is really clear, the camera quality is also very good. It is an ideal shape as it can fit in to your pocket easily...

...I owned this phone for just over a year I was on 02 network and I paid £139.99 for it. The mobile phone software is very good but the phone itself is very disappointing!!!!! First of all the Sony Ericsson W580i comes with a 512MB memory card and a 2.0 mega pixel camera. This obviously means that there is alot of space for pictures, music and video files. The picture quality is also brilliant too. The menu's are easily accessable and is practically the same as other Sony Ericsson mobile phones. On the Sony Ericsson W580i you can listen to the local radio station, Play the Games (My phone came with two games), TrackID (This you put your phone next to a speaker and the song is ID'd but comes with a price), Video Player. I mainly use my mobile for calls and sending text messages only, but have found the internet browser on it quite easy to use. Sending a text is quite straight forward, from the menu you just have to click the envelope icon which takes you to your options on a text, it will come up, write new text, inbox, email, RSS reader, drafts and sent. Advantages: Thin, Good Memory, Aesthetically pleasing, good value for money.

My phone also includes many other great applications including Photo DJ, Video DJ & Music DJ and my favourite.. Track ID, which enables you to record a short clip of music from the radio, TV or another external music source and it'll send it over the internet and find the song title, artist and album name it is from [if available] Genius! :) The phone includes some fantastic, modern themes, I especially love the 'Splat' theme :) Camera isnt as great as it could be, but its a Walkman phone.. if you're after a Sony Ericsson with a fantastic camera, go for 'K' range.
