...I have had the W810i for a fair while now and so I think I am in a position now to review the phone. Changing phone from a Nokia is always a nightmare for me, you get used to the menu system and so we become lazy and stick with what we know. When I got this phone I felt that all the Nokia phones at the time were boring and I wanted something a little funky. The phone itself looks the part. I have the white version of the W810i and it looks quite smart and sophisticated. The screen displays all the menu items with colourful icons that are easy to navigate too using the 4 directional navigation ring and small button which sits in the centre just under the screen. The direction ring has arrows pointing up, down, left and right which obviously move the cursor in that direction when pressed, and the button in the middle initiates...

Sony Ericsson W810i - used for 2 years!

Advantages: music sounds great with 'Mega Bass' feature!
Disadvantages: only has 2MP camera - blurry videos

...The Sony Ericsson w810i is a brilliant little phone! I got the satin black model on an upgrade of my existing contract with T-mobile a while ago now. Its the second sony ericsson that I've had as for years I always stuck with Nokia. The first Sony Ericsson I got was from the 'K' range that they do and it took a lot of getting used to after using Nokia for so long but after getting to grips with how the menus are layed out its really easy. I liked my old sony ericsson and decided to stick with that brand when it came to upgrade time, this handset appealed to me because it has a decent camera on it as well as the walkman feature. Advantages: Compact, easy to use and easy to download music to if you have a PC.
Disadvantages: Screen is exposed and looks as if it could scratch or worse!

W810i - Just keeps going...

...I've had my W810i for over 2 years now and even though I've had upgrades, I've always kept this phone instead (I do have the W850i as my homephone so check out that review!) Though it's looking a little worse for wear, the technology's still up to date and most of it still works fine. Firstly, it's sleek design means that you can put it in your trouser pocket and it doesn't look bizarre, plus it's fairly light compared to others. ...The phone is like any other sony ericsson. its sleek smart, light and small. The keypad on this is great the buttons are just so easy to use. The buttons are respnsive and holding it , it just feels right in your hand. Properly the only down point is that you cant have a clock in sleep mode. (i know its only small but because all the other sony have i feel like it needs it.) The phone comes in black or white. Its a 2.0 megapixel and i found out that if you switch the camers to fine mode in settings it takes better pictures, it has a light soif you like going clubs festivals events etc at night you get quality pictures.
