Good quality video light

Advantages: Sony reliability, strong light
Disadvantages: Power hungry

...A video light that delivers either 10w or 20w, as you would expect it's a little power hungry but if like me you use NP-F950 batteries in your cameras, this takes the same size and so is not a problem. It also takes NP-F330/530/550/750 but if you want to use it in 20w mode i would recommend the NP-750 or higher. It fits onto any accessory shoe on any camera and throws a good light. I use it at weddings where its not practical to set up studio lights and it serves its purpose well. For close ups i tend to use 10w and for wider shots the 20w. Both can be a little harsh on faces and can cause people to squint, even though the light is diffused. You can diffuse it further with some tissue paper which gives a nice soft light. A good well made light that has it's place for the amateur or semi pro. Recommended....

...Sony's next generation console was well worth the wait from the Playstation 2. I have owned a PS3 for just over a year now and I have so far had no problems with it and to see the quality of the graphics of any game was incredible, and it was such a step up from the PS2. Although Sony was late in releasing the PS3, it was worth the wait in the end, although I did consider getting an Xbox 360 instead. The Xbox 360 came out much earlier and allowed microsoft the oppurtunity to get more Xbox 360's out there before the PS3 was even out. However there have been many reported problems with the Xbox 360, such as the console freezing, so I thought I best play it safe and instead get the PS3 when I had some money. ...quality and the reproduction of details, I would say, was exceptionally good but I ran into serious problems while using the camera for out door photography using it at an ISO setting above 100, forget about ISO 3200, the photo quality detoriates very appreciable, in fact the results are really very poor. Real problem starts when you are clicking indoors, the pictures are very noise (excessive grains) in low light and the video zoom becomes annoying along with very poor focus and it takes ages to recover for the second picture. Another disturbing feature of this camera is the batteries, you have to remove and charge them, although, agreed, a plug in is available for a price but why not it is a single unit?. I thought Sony uses Carl-Zeiss lenses exclusively but not this one. Isn?t it strange for Sony ? Are they keeping an eye on the price?...

...This is a great controller jus like the classic ps1/ps2 the design stayed the same. This is the perfect controller i can not say anything about the slick design. As you may know this controller is wireless so you may use it from newere in the room so no messy wires hanging around. And the batttery lasts very long i dont have to charge it very often but i dont play hours every day either. Only bad this about this controller is that unlike the ps1/ps2 controllers this does not have dual shock so no rumble :(.This is because sony could not get rights for the technology. Sony what happened? Well good news this controller is being released again next year as Dual Shock 3 is comming out. Have Sony rolled in the next gen with a bang??

Advantages: Excellent multimedia package ahead of its time
Disadvantages: Backward compatability probs, and some minor glitches

The 360 had a remote (well mine did because I had one of the premium launch packs) which makes navigation easier in some ways, however you can buy an official Sony remote control for a penny short of £20. The PS3 has more flexibility than the 360 since you can link up your PSP, or insert certain memory cards into the integrated card reader. Now the 360 does enable you to link an external device to playback music, but it has only been recently you could actually save the format on the hard drive. Although with the PS3 you can save photos, audio and videos of varying format straight onto the 60 GB hard drive. At the moment I am still getting to grips with what the PS3 can playback in the video stakes but already I know it's a lot more than what the 360 can do, having already transferred my PSP mp4 files...
