Sony KDL-46W5500 - awesome LCD TV with stunning pictures
Advantages: Stunning pictures, loaded with features, useful extra connection options
Disadvantages: Expensive - but it is a Sony
...Finally decided to upgrade my old Trintron CRT and spent the past 3 months or so looking at the various LCDs available out there. I initially settled on a Sony KDL46W4500 after seeing one in a store and was just about to part with my hard earned cash when I started reading reviews and read about the so-called dreaded 'backlight bleed'. Given the high cost of the Sony, this completely put me off, so it was back to the drawing board for me.
I spent more time looking around but never quite found a set I fancied as much as the 46W4500, that was until the Sony KDL46W5500 came out. I couldn't find any reviews but found it online at a very competitive price so I decided to take a chance on it.
All I can say is I'm glad I took the risk. The picture on this set is nothing short of stunning. I don't have HD installed yet but the SD picture is...

Sony KDL-40W4500
Advantages: Class leading HD pictures, Well above average SD pictures, 100hz technology
Disadvantages: Even though this set is cheap at £850, £850 is still a lot of money.
...still produce good quality SD pictures.
I considered the Sony KDL-40W4000 for quite some time. However even though this is towards the top end of Sony's range, (only the flagship X range is significantly better), it still doesn't produce a SD picture that I find good enough. On the other hand, the HD performance of the W4000 is amongst the best in it's class. In time I will be watching more and more HD, so it is also very important to me to get class leading HD pictures.
Luckily Sony seem to agree. They have come up with this, the KDL-40W4500. It's basically the W4000 with some enhancements. The main ones being 100hz scanning and improved motion control. The HD picture is improved over the W4000, making it the equal of sets in the £2000-£3000 range. But more importantly for me, the SD picture is vastly improved over the W4000...

Sony KDL32S2010 - Still a Sony Fan
Advantages: Good Picture and Excellent Sound. Easy to set up with lots of features
Disadvantages: Occasional picture freeze (see review) when TV tends to re-set itself (probably due to broadcast conditions though)
...I have been resisting switching over to digital television since it first appeared. And as far as I was concerned, the TFT televisions were to be avoided until all the niggling problems were ironed out. After getting back to (almost) normal after my heart attack, I decided it was time to "bite the bullet" and get a TFT. A 32-inch model would be about the best size for our lounge so that's what I opted for and, being a Sony fanatic, Sony it had to be. Our last Sony (CRT) television had been with us for 10 years or more and had never given any problems and the same can be said for our Sony video recorder.
I was surprised to find out that receiving digital was not without it problems. Firstly, you cannot record one channel and watch another, but I am digressing here from the actual TV? Enter the Sony Bravia. KDL-32S2010.
First...

Sony KDL HDTV - Visual Master Piece Beauty
Advantages: Crystal clear graphics,Auto tuning,plenty of sockets,modern
Disadvantages: Pricey(paying for quality)-Competitive market
...Ok, so heres the scenario, ive baught myself an xbox 360, looking to take my gaming to the next level, and play with the most upto date crystal clear visuals i can afford.
After a long and hard journey, travelling from shop to shop, comparing over 20 different TV's, the path has led me to choosing the Sony KDL20S2020.
Firstly, its sony, and everyone knows that Sony intend to give the best possible service and products that they can. I was drawn to the TV mainly due to the name for starters, and it caught my attention in the shop as it was playing finding Nemo and Star wars Dvds, and the visuals where purely crystall clear, obviously the main aim for the shop but it drew me in.
As you do, i asked questions, questions, and more questions being the 'noob' in the Television world. Most of the questions where is it compatible...

Sony packs a punch
Advantages: Stunning when used with blu ray and high definition broadcasts
Disadvantages: easily smudged screen and initially confusing menu
...Sony are just about the top of the league when it comes to audovisual fare. The Sony KDL40W5500 accordingly costs a pretty penny although if you know where to go it can be had for a pretty reasonable cost compared to lesser rivals. The set may look pretty but there are prettier rivals. The picture, when used with your own digital service or DVD, is pretty good with sharp colours and clear images. The sound is clear and distinct. I would recommend that you hang this set well out of the way since the screen easily picks up smudges from little fingers and pens/pencils can easily damage the rather fragile screen.
All well and good you say but is it worth the money? Well kind of. The set really comes into its own when its doing what it is supposed to do with high definition broadcasts and movies. This is when the super sharp pictures...

Sony KDL-32U2000 Review
Advantages: It's a Sony, it's stylish, it's reasonably priced
Disadvantages: None really
...After a bit of research and specification comparisons I bought the KDL-32U2000 to replace a 15 year old Sony 25" Trinitron that had served me well but was beginning to show its age. The picture had gradually developed an orange/pink cast with fine horizontal streaks and a general loss of definition and brightness, so definitely the time had come for its retirement.
I chose the KDL-32U2000 because it offered some degree of future-proofing being HD ready with built-in Freeview, NICAM stereo and all the required sockets for connecting external equipment. The price seemed reasonable compared to other makes of similar specification, and having confidence in Sony products, I took the plunge and ordered the set online from a well known e-tailer offering free 24 hour delivery.
Installation was a breeze with the on-screen menus and after...

Sony KDL-40S2530U 40" HD Ready IDTV Twin HDMI
Advantages: 40" black cheapish, good brand, great picture, high spec
Disadvantages: overwelling features, loads to go wrong
...(such snobbery, not me my missus).
I spent hours searching the interweb looking for TV's using Ciao, Kelkoo Price runner to no avail.
Then I tripped across a not so well know site, how I got to it I don’t know but the site digitaldirect.co.uk seemed worth the Sherlock Holmes treatment.
And it was £20 delivery for UK main land yea! And £855.01 for a black Sony TV Bobs your uncle, I order it on line and it was setup and working 3 days later.
The TV is a thin slender and very light compared to the stogy brick we moved out, I had not bought a TV for years having had no need but my how things have changed.
The spec list and techy gumf for this TV is out of this world so I'll start.
The TV SONY.KDL-40S2530U 40" HD Ready IDTV Twin HDMI.
The screen size is a diagonal 40" with wait for it 1366x768 pixels resolution, (I must...

Sony Bravia KDL-40V4000 - great for Hi-Def users
Advantages: Speedy channel navigation + table-top stand swivels + clean standard-def input
Disadvantages: no white balance control - doesn't smooth jagged edges from interlaced well - average motion resolution
...important to note that the height - 68.4cm - is when the stand is included.
----------SERIES------------------------------
Bravia.
Bra via - or "BRAVIA", rather - is a brand that Sony uses to market its high definition LCD televisions, in addition to projection televisions and projectors, and mobile phones in countries such as Japan. The original name was WEGA and some BRAVIA advertisements can still be found where the item in question carries the WEGA logo.
The name is actually an acronym for "Best Resolution Audio Visual Integrated Architecture".
----------PRODUCT TYPE------------------------------
This product is an LCD television, where "LCD" is the commonly known abbreviation for "liquid crystal display". In brief, a liquid crystal is a substance that has characteristics and properties between those of a liquid and those...

Sony KDL-32V4000
Advantages: Great picture, brilliant sound clarity and depth.
Disadvantages: Remote could be a little simpler to use.
...Right, time to upgrade my living room tv....... But which one to get? After much searching and thought I decided that with the outlay needed it would be better to go for a company I know I could trust and after seeing the price of this sony tv I decided it was the only one for me.
My grandma was around at my house while I was setting the tv up and although I found it extremely easy to do and it took me all of about ten minutes (including adding the swivel stand to the bottom) she did seem a little baffled by the remote control! (which does seem to have a massive array of options and sub menu's). Really happy with the picture and sound quality on this tv and it looks absolutely great sitting in the corner of the living room. It could easily be mistaken as costing a lot more than it did!
I would have to say, overall a great television...

sony KDL-40U2000
Advantages: excellent picture and sound quality
Disadvantages: can be expensive unless you get a good deal on it
...I was quite lucky to get this tv on a one day deal for £899.
it was bought as a replacement to my 32" LCd TV which has now been placed in the bedroom.I must say the difference in quality between this tv and my panasonic LCD tv is amazing. The sony LCD has a much clearer picture with its "Bravia HD engine" which in my opinion made colours that you didnt even know existed pop onto your screen. you can set the mode of colours for your own liking from extra bright down to dull. it has excellent sound quality from its many speakers perfect if your watching a movie as you feel like you have surround sound. the one down side to the tv is the look of it compared to other similar tvs.it is alot duller in appearance and quite plain looking although this may be to other peoples liking!!
i also had a problem receiving the built-it DV3 programmes...
