...Right, time to upgrade my living room tv....... But which one to get? After much searching and thought I decided that with the outlay needed it would be better to go for a company I know I could trust and after seeing the price of this sony tv I decided it was the only one for me. My grandma was around at my house while I was setting the tv up and although I found it extremely easy to do and it took me all of about ten minutes (including adding the swivel stand to the bottom) she did seem a little baffled by the remote control! (which does seem to have a massive array of options and sub menu's). Really happy with the picture and sound quality on this tv and it looks absolutely great sitting in the corner of the living room. It could easily be mistaken as costing a lot more than it did! I would have to say, overall a great television...

Sony Bravia KDL 32V2000

Advantages: Beautiful sharp picture and crisp clear sound. It also looks very stylish.
Disadvantages: None, however an extra HDMI socket would be the icing on the cake!

...put it on a stand. The price of this T.V. varies significantly depending on where you buy it. I've seen it advertised from £899.99 right up to £1199.99, so it's definitely worth shopping around to get the best possible deal. I would recommend this television to anyone planning to purchase a new TV. It is excellent value for money with the all round quality that you would expect from Sony....

Sony Bravia KDL 32V2500 LCD TV Review

Advantages: Great picture and sound quality, easy to install - buy it now!
Disadvantages: None

...I've had this TV for about 3 weeks now. It was so easy to install and it searched and found all available channels (including all Freeview ones) and was up and running literally within 5 minutes out of the box (which is big)! The sound and picture quality are second to none. The colour creation technology developed by Sony is superb. The connections provided are plentiful including 2 HDMI sockets to connect to, for example, a Blu-ray player, 2 SCART sockets , A/V sockets and connection ports to connect to a PC and a headphone socket. The remote is stylishly designed in silver. This TV is even beautiful when it is switched off. If you want a 32" LCD TV, I would suggest you go out and buy one right now. Value for money is excellent from a firm you can trust....

A Sony Bravia for £349.99

Advantages: Great picture quality - Great sound quality - Looks good - a big array of features
Disadvantages: Quite bulky - The array of options could confuse some

...This Television is an absolute bargain. I purchaed the TV for £349 from play.com. When i first unboxed this i was very happy - but slightly annoyed that the stand was not prefitted - might just be me but it was quite hard to fit and because i had to do it there is the worry it is not as good as it could be. Once the stand is fitted - and checked for security you can now admire the TV. The TV looks amazing really - its black and not a fingerprint magnet like most sony products. There is one speaker spanning the whole bottom of the TV - it looks stylish - and you get the feeling that the TV is very powerful. The connectivity is really good for this TV - 3 HDMI ports - composite and component slots - RF - Scart *2 - PC - Camera card - headphones and hi - fi connections. All are very well laid out and are input and removed easily...

First off all I want to talk about what an LCD television is as there is a lot of confusion between an LCD television and a Plasma screen television. Although both types of televisions are flat and thin, they employ different technology in an attempt to deliver similar results An LCD television according to many lasts twice as long as a plasma screen. Advantages: Screen quality, simple to set up, quality of TV & remote
Disadvantages: Setting colours etc could be simpler

...It is now 2 weeks since I bought my first LCD, HD ready TV. This was a beautiful Sony KDL-32V2500, part of the V-series from Sony, which also includes 40? and 46? models. I have put a lot of research into this purchase, as this is an expensive item and in the end I chose this particular model. I read a lot of reviews, checked the manufacturers websites for technical specifications and spent hours (or, more likely, days) in Sony/Panasonic/Toshiba shops, as well as in Dixons or Currys, to see the difference in picture quality. I was never to buy from a shop though, as the prices are so much higher than in the online shops (hundred of pounds difference). ...an understated way; it has a nice softly glossy finish, much nicer than these ultra glossy-glitzy finishes that seem to be around at the moment. I'm sure this design will stand the test of time. The body of the t.v. is reasonably slim (4'') and the stand poking out at the rear will keep ithe set at a minimum distance of 3:1/4'' away from a wall. The hand set is a lovely classy and quality piece of design again not the sort of thing to go out of fashion in a year. The 32'' screen is nice for an average size room - not too overbearing. Do you really need anything bigger - are you caught up in the bigness thing? Picture quality to me looks as good as anything - maybe the fact that it's a 32'' helps and so the pixels are less discernible than they would be on, say, a 37''.
