Sony KDL-32U2000 Review

Advantages: It's a Sony, it's stylish, it's reasonably priced
Disadvantages: None really
...After a bit of research and specification comparisons I bought the KDL-32U2000 to replace a 15 year old Sony 25" Trinitron that had served me well but was beginning to show its age. The picture had gradually developed an orange/pink cast with fine horizontal streaks and a general loss of definition and brightness, so definitely the time had come for its retirement.
I chose the KDL-32U2000 because it offered some degree of future-proofing being HD ready with built-in Freeview, NICAM stereo and all the required sockets for connecting external equipment. The price seemed reasonable compared to other makes of similar specification, and having confidence in Sony products, I took the plunge and ordered the set online from a well known e-tailer offering free 24 hour delivery.
Installation was a breeze with the on-screen menus and after a few...

Sony KDL-32U2000
Review of Sony KDL-32U2000 by
jean__jeanie
Advantages: Future compliant
Disadvantages: Pricey
...I purchased the Sony KDL-32U2000 after careful consideration and much research into LCD TVs. I was willing to spend a fair amount on one and so wanted to make sure that it was future proof, as well as being of good quality picture and sound wise.
The TV itself has all the modern features that will soon be required after the analog TV signals are finally switched off and digital takes over. It is digital compliant. The set itself is also HD Ready (and already has a HDMI socket, which means no extra equipment will be needed to run High Definition transmissions.) High Definition means a better quality picture and sound, which is already available if you subscribe with Sky, and will slowly be introduced as standard in the future. High Definition also allows you to play High Definition games on consoles that are compatible...

Review of Sony KDL-40 U 2000 by
kerriemcd
Advantages: excellent picture and sound quality
Disadvantages: can be expensive unless you get a good deal on it
...I was quite lucky to get this tv on a one day deal for £899.
it was bought as a replacement to my 32" LCd TV which has now been placed in the bedroom.I must say the difference in quality between this tv and my panasonic LCD tv is amazing. The sony LCD has a much clearer picture with its "Bravia HD engine" which in my opinion made colours that you didnt even know existed pop onto your screen. you can set the mode of colours for your own liking from extra bright down to dull. it has excellent sound quality from its many speakers perfect if your watching a movie as you feel like you have surround sound. the one down side to the tv is the look of it compared to other similar tvs.it is alot duller in appearance and quite plain looking although this may be to other peoples liking!!
i also had a problem receiving the built-it DV3 programmes...

Sony Bravia Reigns Supreme
Review of Sony KDL-32V2000 by
Aelred2k6
Advantages: Superb picture, natural colours and excellent visual dynamics
Disadvantages: Only one HDMI connection
...As this seems to be a rather popular product i shall give a bit more detail to my review.
----------First Impressions----------
Well, what can I say! The Sony Bravia KDL-32V2000 is the King amongst LCD TVs. After owning this TV for about two months I couldn't be more impressed. At first I was worried that the picture on an LCD screen wouldn't compare to my old CRT, I couldn't have been more wrong. The Sony displays an extremely sharp picture and the range of hues is nothing short of outstanding.
----------Tech Spec----------
With a resolution of 1366x768, digital and analogue TV tuners and shipped HD ready this TV is ultimately future proof. Alongside the usual array of connections is an HDMI input and a set of component video connections. If truth be told an extra HDMI input would have been nice but that seems to be the only fault...

sonyKDL-32u3000 television
Review of Sony KDL-32U3000 by
tennant1981
Advantages: 32"widescreen,HD ready,built in freevew
Disadvantages: the speakers arn't to good
...specs:
32"widescreen
HD ready
built in freeview
16:9 resulution
The television itself looks superb. The quality of the freeview channels through it Ithought were really good especially on channels 4 and 5.The picture quality is absolutely spot on as it is HD ready which means its got more pixels in the screen than your average television therefore the picture is crisper and more clear.
The speakers that are build into the television dont really project that much sound so adding a surround sound speaker system would help it alot though the television is still good enough without a speaker system.
The electronic program guide (epg) that is on the freeview isnt the best ive seen on other freeview boxes but it does the job that it needs to.
You can also plug in your dvd player to it through one of the scart lead sockets at the back...

32 INCHES..."IT'LL BE LIKE A HANDHELD".......
Review of Sony KDL-32U2000 by
Badger_Boy
Advantages: LCD display with anti-glare, stunning picture detail and colour, audio
Disadvantages: Cost of auxillery products - stand or wall bracket
...When moving into our new flat I managed to get the main television, a 50” Sony Bravia KDF-E50A12U from A to B, up 3 flights of stairs and through a narrow doorway without any hassle at all, but managed to completely destroy our bedroom television, therefore a replacement was needed. After being extremely pleased with the ease of set up, down right amazing performance and relatively cheap price of our other Bravia we decided that the replacement should also be a flat screen rear projection HD ready television and, if possible, a Sony Bravia. After much searching we couldn’t find a rear projection television cheap enough so opted for the Sony Bravia KDL-32U2000 an LCD television purchased for £540 from www.cheapelectricals.co.uk in January 2007.
In an ideal world I would have opted for another 50” Bravia, alas financial and space...

32 inches of pure pleasure
Review of Sony KDL-32U2000 by

Advantages: lots!
Disadvantages: none!
...Our old Panasonic TV was really starting to show its age so a few months ago I took the plunge and bought a Sony 32 inch HD T.V. I had been looking around for a while and didn't want to pay more than £600. When I spotted the Sony KLD-32U2000 in my local Tesco for £404 I knew I had to have it!
The first thing to say is that this T.V looks stunning! It has a silver surround and can be wall mounted if you prefer. Ours sits on a T.V table. For added safety you can fix the T.V to your table with the support belt included. The controls are positioned at the top so the sleek look of the TV is not interfered with.
The next thing to say is that this T.V was really easy to set up. It comes with clear instructions and a Cd to show you exactly what to do. Also included is a remote and 2 batteries.
The box has a very useful cable holder to keep...

Sleek + Smart = SONY
Review of Sony KDL-32U2000 by
theskysthelimit
Advantages: Again, follows the successful Sony Style, pitcure quality mostly good
Disadvantages: quite expensive
...This TV is definetly a favourite and I would reccommend anyone who is considering buying one at the moment, to look into Sony, espically this one. Ill explain function by functtion...
Remote: The first piece everyone takes out of the box when buying a set, and can tell you a lot from about the TV. Clearly the remote is ergonimic, with very good battery life, and all the functions you could possibly want with any remote. If your a Sonyfile and everything you buy is Sony, then the remote is nicely marked for the device it belongs to. Picking up a spare is easy enough, due to the amount of sony stores around on every good highstreet.
Picture: Extremely good, although it could be better on fast moving images, there appears (on my set i dont know if this is a renound problem) to be a slight lag on fast moving programme such as football...

Sony Bravia KDL 32V2000
Review of Sony KDL-32V2000U by
untouchable116
Advantages: Beautiful sharp picture and crisp clear sound. It also looks very stylish.
Disadvantages: None, however an extra HDMI socket would be the icing on the cake!
...it on a stand.
The price of this T.V. varies significantly depending on where you buy it. I've seen it advertised from £899.99 right up to £1199.99, so it's definitely worth shopping around to get the best possible deal.
I would recommend this television to anyone planning to purchase a new TV. It is excellent value for money with the all round quality that you would expect from Sony....

Review of Sony KDL-32 S 2530 by
pompeyfun
Advantages: there arnt any real advantages to owning this tv
Disadvantages: lack of picture quality.
...it was the time for a new tv n the wife has finally said yes!! so after shopping around i decided on the Sony KDL-32S2530 at 550pounds. Its slim and very stylish, after a few days of watching it both my wi9fe and i were a little disappointed. At a closer look you will notice the picture is not of the quality of sonys higher range as i noticed after purchasing mine, and it took me alot of time to pursuede the wife to let me buy one! lol.
Features
Its no ordinary 'S' series Bravia. As part of a substantial upgrade this panel now sports 2 HDMI inputs as well as 2 Scarts (both RGB) and the usual composite and S-video inputs. In addition there is a D-sub PC socket and a CAM slot for subscription channels through the built-in digital tuner.
Details
Screen size & shape: 32in 16:9
