Sony KDL-32U2000 Review

Advantages: It's a Sony, it's stylish, it's reasonably priced
Disadvantages: None really

...After a bit of research and specification comparisons I bought the KDL-32U2000 to replace a 15 year old Sony 25" Trinitron that had served me well but was beginning to show its age. The picture had gradually developed an orange/pink cast with fine horizontal streaks and a general loss of definition and brightness, so definitely the time had come for its retirement. I chose the KDL-32U2000 because it offered some degree of future-proofing being HD ready with built-in Freeview, NICAM stereo and all the required sockets for connecting external equipment.   Sony KDL32S2010 - Still a Sony Fan

Advantages: Good Picture and Excellent Sound. Easy to set up with lots of features
Disadvantages: Occasional picture freeze (see review) when TV tends to re-set itself (probably due to broadcast conditions though)

Advantages: Great picture, brilliant sound clarity and depth.
Disadvantages: Remote could be a little simpler to use.

...Right, time to upgrade my living room tv....... But which one to get? After much searching and thought I decided that with the outlay needed it would be better to go for a company I know I could trust and after seeing the price of this sony tv I decided it was the only one for me. My grandma was around at my house while I was setting the tv up and although I found it extremely easy to do and it took me all of about ten minutes (including adding the swivel stand to the bottom) she did seem a little baffled by the remote control! (which does seem to have a massive array of options and sub menu's). Really happy with the picture and sound quality on this tv and it looks absolutely great sitting in the corner of the living room. ...I purchased the Sony KDL-32U2000 after careful consideration and much research into LCD TVs. I was willing to spend a fair amount on one and so wanted to make sure that it was future proof, as well as being of good quality picture and sound wise. The TV itself has all the modern features that will soon be required after the analog TV signals are finally switched off and digital takes over. It is digital compliant. Advantages: Sharp High Quality Picture, good overal performance.
Disadvantages: Not high spec, only entry level.

Disadvantages: None, however an extra HDMI socket would be the icing on the cake!

I've seen it advertised from £899.99 right up to £1199.99, so it's definitely worth shopping around to get the best possible deal. Sony Bravia KDL 32V2500 LCD TV Review

...I've had this TV for about 3 weeks now. It was so easy to install and it searched and found all available channels (including all Freeview ones) and was up and running literally within 5 minutes out of the box (which is big)! The sound and picture quality are second to none. The colour creation technology developed by Sony is superb. The connections provided are plentiful including 2 HDMI sockets to connect to, for example, a Blu-ray player, 2 SCART sockets , A/V sockets and connection ports to connect to a PC and a headphone socket. The remote is stylishly designed in silver. This TV is even beautiful when it is switched off. If you want a 32" LCD TV, I would suggest you go out and buy one right now. Value for money is excellent from a firm you can trust....

...We have had the Sony KDL-32W4000 for just over a week and the picture on ours is brilliant. This is our second Sony Bravia television, the first was a 26inch which we have been very pleased with. When we went to get our new tv we decided to go for a larger television with a 32 inch screen. I have no idea how easy it is to set up, as when we had it delivered from our local independent electrical store they unpacked and set it up for us. The picture is really clear with excellent definition and contrast from all angles, although the screen swivels on its stand as well. Handy for dusting behind it. You can of course have it hung on the wall if you wish. The remote control is easy and straight forward to use. We do not have a blu-ray player or satellite so I could not give you my opinion on its H-D performance. However using freeview...

...We have bought this TV from John Lewis who offer a 5 years free guarantee with it. This is our first LCD TV and I am more than impressed. The picture and sound quality are amazing. The resolution is 1080p and therefore HD ready. It has also got True movie technology if you have a Blu-Ray player making your movie experience more intensive and enjoyable. We have attached our PS3 to it as well and the the game graphics are clear and precise without any delays. It has a Dolby surround sound system and 2 built in speakers. The initial set up was easy and uncomplicated. You can either wallmount it or place it on a TV unit. The table top stand is supplied. You have to purchase a wallmount seperatley, but you can pick them up for bargain prices. Sony has always been one of the leaders in the Television market and this product certainly proofs...
