Sony KV28LS60
Advantages: Excellant picture quality at an affordable price
Disadvantages: Takes up a lot of space compared to LCD or Plasma
...There are two versions of Sony's KV28LS range a 35 and 60. The only difference as far as I am aware is that the LS60 has a scanning rate of 100HZ, rather than the 50HZ of the 35. I purchased the LS60 approximately 18months which at the time cost just over £600, no doubt it has fallen in price since then. I opted for the LS60 because of the enhanced scanning rate and the difference in price was negligible. This is actually the second LS60 I have owned, when the first arrived two of the scart sockets did not work. However, within a week Comet had delivered a new TV which (touch wood) I have had no problems with. Additional point here, order from Comet's website rather than store for a significant discount, you retain the benefit of being able to go into a store if you have any problems but get a significant discount when ordering...

KV28FX20 A good all rounder.
Advantages: Good Picture, reasonable Sound.
Disadvantages: Relatively high price in comparison to other manufacturers
...Sony have always been a manufacturer who like to stay at the top of the market and the launch nearly 18 months ago of the FX20 in its current form merely confounds this. Incororating Sony's WEGA technology, the picture is exceptionally good for a "basic" 50hz television, and coupled with a DVD player the effect is simply stunning. The set is catered for in the sound department with a simple Nicam setup which although not particularly technologically advanced, is effective none the less. If you're really looking for a Pro-Logic set, Sony also manufacture the KV28FS20 which is identical in every way except that it has a Dolby Pro-Logic setup in preference to it's Nicam equivalent.
In summary, the FX20 is a fantastic set, though if you can afford the 100hz set then you will obviously reap the benefits (the KV28FX60). If you're looking to...

I got the sony feeling
Advantages: Stylish, Size, Looks, performance
Disadvantages: None Yet
...The time had come for us to replace the television in our bedroom, after searching through the internet and visiting many electrical outlets, we decided on the Sony KV21CT1U television. We bough is from curry's for £199.99.
So what does this Television offer you?
The most important thing is how does my television look, this particular one I would say is very stylish and elegant, it's a stylish silver colour. Being a small flat screen TV it takes up very little room:
Dimensions:
Height-461
Width -497
Depth -487
Screen size of 21 inches (51cm)
When you open the rather big box, you will find the following inside:
1x Remote Control
1x 2 packet battery
1x Loop aerial
1x Intensive instruction guide
1x Guarantee card
Setting the TV up:
Auto Tuning: Simply plug the TV in attach your ariel and let the machine do...

Its A Sony... Enough Said
Advantages: The Sony Badge, Superb Picture Quality
Disadvantages: Watching It Could Become Addictive, Not That Many Features
...a cheap one, ie. £300 or so, which would have bought me a fairly decent 28” Sanyo with stand. I have owned the particular model (WN28) in question last year and I can report that it was nice looking in its silver glory. Its picture quality was good and the only fault I could find with it was the remote control’s battery cover kept falling off.
To try and find the best bargain around, I started my hunt through the empire direct website (which is where I bought the Sanyo), and finally moved to ebay which is where I ended up with the Sony. I placed a bid of £351-00 for a new 28” KV-28LS35 fully expecting not to get it as they retail at £600+. I won the auction however, and with an extra £40 delivery charge it was mine.
The set arrived and weighing over 66kg, the poor delivery fella pulled something in his back trying to...

Sony a television, but I love it
Advantages: Excellent quality, Sony brand
Disadvantages: Lack of connectivity, high price tag
...Some days I just feel so darn lucky to know that I've got one of these sitting in my living room, just waiting for me to give it some loving.
Apologies up front, I just can't get enough Sony; I've got a Sony Vaio laptop, Sony DVD player, Sony car stereo, Sony camcorder, you name it, I've got it. And despite the high prices you inevitably pay for Sony equipment, you always get the warm fuzzy feeling you've shelled out your hard earned cash on the highest quality equipment on the market.
The latest addition to the my Sony-driven lifestyle was the KV-28DX40 Sony widescreen idtv. If you're unfamiliar with the term idtv, it stands for integrated digital television. Basically this means it can decode Freeview television and radio channels through a normal antenna, without the need for an external set-top box.
If you're unfamiliar...

Excellent Flat-Screen TV
Advantages: Flat Screen, Great picture and sound quality
Disadvantages: Wish there are more sockets
...When my 8-year old rounded?screen television set started to produce unnecessary green and purple colours, I decided to get another telly. Though I wanted to get keep that old TV for sentimental reasons, the distorted colour made me want to throw it out of the window at times. I wanted to save that television set anyway so I had it checked by a technician and he diagnosed it with a damaged picture tube so I ended up ordering SonyKV28FS20.
When the television set arrived, I was surprised with the very huge box. The two delivery men did have a hard time getting it out from the delivery van and into my house. When the box was opened, I was amazed with that big pretty TV. A rabbit antenna, a remote control and a multi-language user manual were in the box too.
SET UP
Set up was easy once the SonyKV28FS20 is installed. I just...

Entry level Sony 28" widescreen TV
Advantages: Sony quality, good picture, cheapest of range for Wega TV
Disadvantages: very heavy (43kg), limited connections
...I saw a refurbished bargain - only £160 instead of the £320 usual price. Could I refuse this for a Sony Wega 28" TV? Certainly not, so it replaced my aged Panasonic 21" normal TV.
As with any widescreen CRT TV the first thing you notice is the sheer physical size. The box only just squeezed through the door, and the TV took two people to lift. Styling is smart with curves sweeping backwards and a silver finish.
There are two scart connections at the rear, but only one is RGB compatible. There is also an AV socket at the front for videocameras etc. Higher end TVs usually have more RGB capable scart sockets so this TV requires you to either daisychain your equipment or buy a signal switcher box - I have a DVD, FTA digibox, VCR, and Sky+ all daisychained to the single RGB scart. The TV autosenses which item was last turned on so...

Sexy Sony
Advantages: Has many features, including programme preset, picture rotation, sleep timer, parental lock, screen size mode, surround sound mode plus many more!
Disadvantages: Is an intergrated Ondigital TV which in hindsight would have made us buy without.
...After my boyfriend had purchased a Sony DVD player, he decided he was not happy watching it through our 28” Philips TV set.
It doesn’t do the DVD justice, he would say.
We wondered around a few electrical stores, drooling over technology’s new offerings.
He decided on a digital wide screen, but it was deciding which one.
To be honest, I didn’t like the idea, they looked like the screen had been stretched and they looked like fish tanks.
We came to a compromise. I agreed to a wide screen as long as the screen size wasn’t smaller than our Philips.
So which one?
Sony is a well known name, and as he had the DVD player made by them, he decided on a Sony TV too.
We made our choice.
A Sony Wega, model KV-28D280.
It is a grey/silver colour and sits on a glass front cabinet of the same...
