Magnificent Mavica
Advantages: Lots of features
Disadvantages: A bit bulky
...This is my first review of anything remotely technical, apart from a tumble dryer, which doesn?t count, because all you do is chuck in the clothes and shut the door! So I apologise now, to all the dedicated reviewers of digital cameras, please bear with me and I will try my best.
What is it?

The Sony Mavica FD200 is a 2.0-megapixel digital camera, which allows you to take photographs and record them onto a floppy disk or memory stick. This facility allows you to store endless photographs and are easily put onto your computer hard drive. They can then be sent via email, printed out or added to your desktop, among others.
The large LCD (liquid crystal display) screen allows you to look at the person or item that you are photographing in clear and concise detail. You can also look at this screen when you play back...

Mavica Magic!
Advantages: Built to last forever, 10x optical zoom lens
Disadvantages: Hard to see LCD display in sunlight
...I bought my Mavica FD75 around 2 years ago after using, and being very impressed with, an older (FD71?) model at my workplace.
By current standards the FD75 is something of a dinosaur and is quite bulky due to it using floppy discs for recording images. The maximum image size that can be saved is 640 x 480 pixels which equates to approx 0.3 megapixels. If you want to print your photos then the absolute maximum size you could hope for would be 6x4", though to be quite honest I've never printed my shots.
So why did I buy the FD75? Well, the older Mavica model I'd used at work had proved to be bullet-proof over a number of years heavy useage by many users. The advantage of the FD75 over it's predecessor is the 10x zoom lens(optical, not digital zoom). Normally I use Olympus SLR cameras for my photography but I decided to enter...

Mavica - good but pricey
Advantages: floppy disk storage
Disadvantages: expensive
...The Sony Mavica digital camera is a VGA camera with an intelligent flash. What I like about this one is the you can store your pictures on a floppy disk which you put into the back of the camera. They say that you can get up to 40 pictures on one floppy disk, but unless you select 'fine mode', where you can only store 20, the picture quality is not particularly good. It has six different modes of 'auto-exposure' which to be perfectly honest I don't really understand - the manual was not much help here. It's a nice, good-looking, compact digital camera but I'm still not totally convinced of the results. It's also a rather expensive at £450.
Please remember to rate this opinion before you leave. Thankyou....

Mavica MVC - FD90
Advantages: Everything
Disadvantages: Price
...Brilliant, user friendly Digital camera! Well done Sony. Chose FD 90 over FD 85. Mavica range was recommended by existing users and I did not consider any other manufacturers. The most difficult task was to choose from the Mavica range. This camera's greatest attribute is recording to floppy disk. No hassle transfers to PC. Camera also has a disk copying feature for on the spot copying. Excellent for web site creation or e-mail transmission of images. Has 16X digital zoom. One of the main purchase criteria for a digital camera was the ability to also have a wide angle lens. This was available as an extra but not many cameras have this option which is essential for internal shots, etc. Various filters are also available of which I also ordered two and a reasonable range of accessories for this camera appears in Sony's catalogue. Menus...

Sony had to use a Floppy Drive
Advantages: Floppy disks,MPEG Movies,Fairly easy to use.
Disadvantages: Bulky,Price!
...Sony Digital Mavica – MVC-FD85.
I’ve not had mine long and don’t know if I’m qualified to write an opinion yet! – But here goes anyway!!
I bought my FD85 in the June of 2001 it cost me £449:98 from Dixon’s (a bit pricey for a digital camera these days) I could have bought one for about £30:00 less, mail order but had itchy fingers and like any “big kid” I couldn’t wait the week for delivery (how sad?). Anyway I’d been looking at loads of digital cameras and opted for the one I thought should be the easiest to use for all the family and also because my two eldest sons had already used a Mavica at school.
At first you notice that this isn’t no small camera, not by a long chalk! It weighs 1lb 7oz but does come with a shoulder strap. OK! first, The big selling feature...

Enter the Sony!
Advantages: Packed with extras, looks good and feels good.
Disadvantages: See review for the very minor con`s.
...Sony are one of the newest companies to venture into the world of DSLR`s, having been producing some quite excellent point and shoot cameras for many years this is a move that most people in the photography world had expected to happen a long time ago and a lot had feared the day it did happen too.
The reason many photographers feared Sony entering the DSLR market is simply that it would be hard not to get drawn into what they had to offer but they feared that Sony might find the market too challenging and bale out leaving many photographers with cameras that they could not upgrade and would struggle to find lenses and accessories for.
When buying a point and shoot camera you are spending in the region of between 100 and 200 pounds for a top of the range model, whilst when purchasing a DSLR camera you could be looking at spending...

A Great System from Sony
Advantages: Nice Classy Design, Great Graphics, and a Good Online
Disadvantages: Small Gamelist Thus Far and Some Games Suffer From Framerate and Graphical Pop-Up Issues
...Sony's Playstation 3 is thier third go around in the Video Game business. My console reviews usually consist of reviews in the following categories Controller, Graphics, Multiplayer/Online, and Game Library. Much like the Xbox 360, i'll also be reviewing the Design of the PS3.
The design of the PS3 is the more classy of the three new consoles. The PS3 is a black square system with a curved top. While the design is beautiful, this system is very big, matching the 360 in terms of size. The system also offers Blu-ray but, in my opinion, that should not be the only reason you should be spending $400-500 on this system.
The PS3's controller is the classic Playstation controller once again and that shouldn't be a problem for any gamer. The original PS3 controller was the Sixaxis but is now Dualshock 3. For a company that created...

Sony CD-RW Camera
Advantages: Writes directly to a CD
Disadvantages: Limited video time
...Sony, a company dedicated to bringing you cutting edge electronics, has come out with its third in a line of CD-RW camera.
*CD-RW Background
The greatest single feature of this camera is its CD-RW capabilities. This new model allows you to take pictures and have you record them directly to CD. It also has a finalization and initiation feature, so you can delete pictures without having them permanently burned onto the CD. Furthermore, with a mini-CDRW you have even more flexibility with what pictures you keep, without spending more money on more discs.
*General
About two years ago, I purchased the Sony Mavica Digital Camera for about $700 US. I bought it because it could burn to CD's, which could be very easily mailed back and forth between my relatives. It worked great for this purpose. Recently, I purchased the newer model...

Sony Playstation 3 (PS3)
Advantages: Best Entertainment System Avaliable, Region free games only
Disadvantages: 4GB file limitation External Storage, Cant read NTFS
...I am going to be reviewing possibly one of the biggest console in the market currently the PS3. Firstly I have one and it is great, now let's take a look at it in detail:
LAUNCH
November 11, 2006: This is when it debut in Japan
November 17, 2006: It released in North America
March 23, 2007: Finally was released in Europe, Australia, the Middle East, Africa and New Zealand.
The UK launch was a shock for who went to it, as it was announced that everyone in the queue would receive a 46" Sony Bravia TV worth £2000.
The launches did not turn out great for Sony as initial figures were low, here are the figures below:
Worldwide: 5.59 Million - Japan 1,341,000 - North America 2,105,500 - Other 1,300,000
The launch was initially supposed to be as follows:
November 11th for Japan and November 17th for North America...
