(very, very) Easy Disk Memory stick

Advantages: Excellent price - about 12p per megabyte, needs no drivers
Disadvantages: Need Windows XP

I jumped at the chance to own one, as did my brother. It was an amazing price to get 128MB of storage and on the Hi-Speed USB 2.0 format too. I really needed some kind of portable storage as I go to college a few days a week on a computing and electronics course, and I needed to be able to take some of the assignments home. My work totalled up to about 10 MB, and I hated using floppy disks as I found them so unreliable, often they would need re-formatting or they would just stop working, so I just gave up on them. ...M2 memory cards can be used in alot of phones, some cameras and some other devices. There is a range of five hundred and twelve mb and four thousand Mb ( 4Gb ). Depending on the device the memory card is in there is a difference in how files are added to it through a computer. The phones that use it are connected to the USB and a file is opened showing what is on the memory card. If you want to add something to the memory card / phone you just copy and paste the file into the memory card. The M2 memory cards are small and easy to lose and hard to put in. ...This product is the 4gb memory stick which can be used in the Sony PSP console. I currently have a PSP and have changed memory sticks several times. At first I had the 32 mb version which came with the console, I then bought the 512mb version. However I have found the 512mb version to still be too small and I needed a much bigger memory stick in order to store all that I wanted on my PSP. The actual stick: The memory stick is a very small plastic card, just larger than the size of your thumb and slots into the side of the PSP. It is potentially hard to lose but you should not need to take it out of your PSP that much. It is very strong and will not break easily and of course is black to fit in with the typical PSP colour. Althoug this isn't that important as it goes inside the console. It can also hold up to 4gb worth of memory...

Thumbs up for the Sony M2 memory card

Advantages: Good value for money (cheaper than most 2GB USB flash drives), and highly compact and portable
Disadvantages: Very small you so have to handle it really carefully

...I bought this memory stick for my Sony Ericsson Mobile phone back in December and it's still serving me well 6 months on, at the time I am writing this review. One of the desirable features of this product is its size. It's small compact nature means it can be easily popped in and out of your Sony Ericsson mobile phone at any time. At 2GB it can store about 500 MP3 files and about the same number of photos. It's also useful for storing PDF and word files if ever you don't a have a flash drive to hand You can also buy this memory card along with a USB card reader, which you just pop into your computer's USB port, and you're set to go. However, the fact that it's so small means you have to be really careful when handling it, becuse if you drop it, it can be realy hard to find again.This is the only reason why I didn't give this product...

Lasting Memory

Advantages: Small, thin, very light, solid and durable
Disadvantages: expensive, colour, packaging, works only with sony products

..., but also music, word files, webpages, short movies, or any file, any format that is less than 16MB. 5 years back, i use it as a portable temporary 'diskette', just like we're using thumb or pen drives. And of cos, you'll have to get the card reader via USB. I am still keeping this miserable sized memory stick till today cos it's still functioning well. I just use the 4MB + 16MB as an extra. At least they could keep another 130 pictures of size 640 x 480. Until today, sony had gradually improved thier memory stick, with their range of 128, 256, 512, Magic gat versions and the latest 1GB and Memory Stick Duo. They all come in the same size, same weight, but different price. They are still, indeed very expensive. As for the duo, it has many colours. This year, the 1GB caught my attention again, and the same feeling i had 5 years back...

For Some Sony Mobiles

Advantages: Very fast in transferring files, rather cheap, keeps thousands of pictures and video clips
Disadvantages: 1GB not enough for some, very small making it hard to find if lost

...was the MP3 songs even though the M2 card is meant to write 15MB per second ( I guess I'm just not patient). This was possibly because the MP3 songs have more MB than word documents, pictures etc. I would recommend the Sony 1gb M2 card to all those people who want to extend the memory of their sony ericsson mobile phone. The memory card is not hard to find, it can be purchased in many electronic shops including major supermarkets such as Tesco, Asda etc. I wouldn't worry about anything going wrong with this 1GB m2 card as it comes with a five year manufacture warranty, suggesting that if you have any technical faulty just send it off to the manufacture for repair. The M2 card is very fast in transferring files, saving you lots of time. You can't really go wrong with this M2 card, but the fear of misplacing the card or dropping it...
