...I am going to be reviewing possibly one of the biggest console in the market currently the PS3. Firstly I have one and it is great, now let's take a look at it in detail: LAUNCH November 11, 2006: This is when it debut in Japan November 17, 2006: It released in North America March 23, 2007: Finally was released in Europe, Australia, the Middle East, Africa and New Zealand. The UK launch was a shock for who went to it, as it was announced that everyone in the queue would receive a 46" Sony Bravia TV worth £2000. ...After a lot of thinking I finally decided to purchase a PS3 of my other half birthday, he used to play on his PS2 all the time but was getting to the stage where getting any good new games was a nightmare. Needless to say this games console does not dissappoint, other members of my family have the Wii & Xbox personally I think the games console leaves them far behind. Im not one for going on about the spec of a machine (dont know enough about that side of it) so ill just tell you what I think of the console itself. ...I have been umming and arring over which colsole to buy, the Xbox 360 or Playstation 3. I had heard a lot of positive things about the Xbox, and I had also heard that graphics wise and gaming wise the Xbox was slightly better than the Playstation 3. Firstly, and probably mainly, was because of the recent decision to cancel production of the HD-DVD format (a format which the Xbox 360 is developed to play), meaning that the Blu-Ray dvd format ( a format that the Playstation 3 is developed to play) will dominate the High Definition DVD market in the near future. ...I got one last year for Christmas and found it to be better than my XBox 360 in almost every area, in my opinion this truly is the best games console on the market and would recommend it to anyone who is into their gaming. Advantages: Blu-Ray, Entertainment, Backward Compatibility, Sixaxis Controller, Wi-Fi, Hardware.
Disadvantages: Price, Lack of Quality Games, Untapped Potential.

...back to the track. The Playstation 3 is a good asset for people that have followed Sony throughout the years and that are more interested in a certain type of games. I should also mention that if someone wants to buy a PS3 he/she should have some money, not only because of the console but also because of the extras, commands, games, etc. The fact that it has a Blu-Ray is also an advantage. In terms of entertainment is is very good and ready to fulfill any gamer necessity. Also the Dualshock3 and Sixaxis are definitely the best controllers that you can ever have. To sum up there are lots of advantages and disadvantages, in my opinion I'd not buy it unless I had lots of money and had no where else to spend it. Otherwise I'd chose it's rival and would go for the Xbox 360....
