Advantages: Sleek; lots of good games; DVD movie playable - good value for money :-)
Disadvantages: Still waiting for hard drive peripheral; Xbox's graphic capabilites are superior; only two controller ports, compared to the higher rated Xbox. Plus the games are quite costly...

...From my own playing experience, I would say that the Sony Playstation 2 is a amazing, high quality little games consule with extraordinary gaming power capible of being achieved. Many people tend to dissagree, but I think that the Sony Playstation 2 is the best games console going and other consoles such as the XBOX and Gamecube don't even compare to the quality of this tiny black/silver box of fun! hehe! PS/2 Slimline a real tonic from Sony

Advantages: small and sexy
Disadvantages: is it a fragile kitten

...I should start by saying that I am not part of the PlayStation generation, I'm 44 and my first introduction to gaming outside of arcades was awarded to me as the result of an on line competition when I won a good old PSOne (yes, people do win those draws), that was about 7 or 8 years ago I guess. About 5 years ago I upgraded to the original PS/2 and have enjoyed many late nights / early mornings gaming on that till about 8 months ago when it gave up the ghost. With the launch of PS/3 'imminent' I thought I could wait for that - but Oh No it gets delayed and delayed again and my patience runs out. PS2, Greatness in Entertainment

Advantages: looks nice not too loud
Disadvantages: sometimes it can crash

...The Playstation 2 has many functions to it, you can get it in Jet Black, which I have it in, or you can get it in Silver, which looks way much better, but it is very rare to find. I have many games for this console, over 30. My newest ones are, Dynasty Warriors 3, Timesplitters 2, Enter the Matrix and Shadow Memories.
