Another Sony marvel, this time with Blu-Ray built in!
Advantages: HUGE harddrive, lots of memory, stylish and fast. Easy to use and robust.
Disadvantages: Battery life could be better, and I'd have preferred it to be a little lighter.
...I seem to have developed a habit of reviewing laptops, so why break with tradition.
Here we have the Sony Vaio VGN FW 41 - a mid to high-spec 16.4" screen laptop, designed with gamers, office workers, professionals and casual users all in mind.
One of the first things I noticed with this laptop is how professional and stylish it looks, with its silver metal lining. It wouldn't look out of place in a teenagers bedroom or a top executive's office. That's one of the first key pro's about this laptop - it suits practically every kind of person. You wouldn't want to leave it on a train table or cair while nipping off to the loo.
Then again, you wouldn't want to do that with any laptop !
The 16.4" screen is an unusual size, as they are usually either smaller at 15.4" or bigger at 17". The image is impressive, very much so...

Great low-mid level laptop, for work, rest and play!
Advantages: Superfast, great design and nice-sized harddrive
Disadvantages: There are more advanced laptops out there. Price varies considerably.
...Here we have another great laptop by Sony and should that surprise anyone, considering that Sony are one of the most respected manufacturers of electronics in the world ?
The Sony Vaio VGN-NS30E/W is a low-mid level laptop designed to fit the needs of most business and leisure users. To better illustrate the features, the pros and the cons I've split the review into sections for you................
APPEARANCE
--------------------
This laptop is honestly gorgeous in its design. The white frame gives it a very crisp and clean look, much like an IPOD and makes you excited to see what it can do.
Upon opening the laptop, you're greeted with a stunning screen with X-Black technology. This means that the black backgrounds, vivid colours of media players and photos look very deep and rich. Games, movies and applications all look...

Sony VGN-C2S Lap Top
Advantages: Stylish, well made, good features, light weight, fantastic screen
Disadvantages: Short power lead, only two USB outlets, no infra red
...I've only owned my Sony lap top for a short time & I'm impressed with the geneal fit & finish, light weight construction, standard wi-fi & other features. The keyboard has a lovely quality feel to it, battery life is around 2 hours & the screen is totally amazing. It came with Vista Home Premium & Sony have added extra valuable software from Adobe & for Sony MP3s. The lap top comes with a separate SD card reader & memory stick 'gate' for simple downloading of digital pictures. The lap top came in a choice of colours, my one is in silver & white & looks similar to an Apple Mac lap top. My only gripes is the rather short power lead, only 2 USB outlets, no infra red facility & miserable one year warranty. However it is a rather stylish & well made lap top that should give years of good service....

Me and My Sony
Advantages: Light weight, portable machine with decent memory and responsiveness
Disadvantages: Would have preferred manufacturers restore disks.
...A couple of years ago, due to the fact that I was going to be travelling a lot around the country, I thought it was time to get myself another laptop as my old Sony Viao, although still working, was far too limited on processing power and hard drive space for what I wanted it for. I had liked my old Viao so I decided on another Viao, and when I checked out the latest NR10 in Comets I was quite impressed.
What it?s Like to Use
I liked the responsiveness of the T2310 dual-core Pentium Processor installed in the NR10. Running at 1.4GHZ this processor loads and allows programs to function very quickly, and surfing the Internet is as quick as my desktop, that runs at 3GHZ ? although to be fair, my desktop just has a single-core processor.
First Time Use
Switching on the NR-10 for the first time, wasn?t like switching...

THANK YOU SONY!!
Advantages: ultra thin, light and very powerful.
Disadvantages: sony dont do disadvantages.
...Due to the fact that I run and build websites and the fact that I am somewhat addicted to the internet in general, I need to have a laptop that can do everything my desktop is capable of and as my desktop is a top of the range Sony only Sony could provide a laptop that could come close. Just over two months ago I went on the search for what I needed and after hunting through various websites, electrical stores and specialist computer shops I came up with the Sony VAIO FE41Z, an amazingly powerful machine which I have found so far to be almost as capable as my desktop and believe me it has been put through its paces.
As I also work from home mostly online, being stuck in my computer chair can get a bit tedious so it's nice now to be able to lounge about on the sofa taking care of my business. The type of work I do involves a lot...

Thank`s again Sony!
Advantages: Powerful, long battery life, lightweight, strong and looks stunning!!
Disadvantages: Absolutely none!
...When it comes to laptops there really is just no beating Sony, they just keep coming out with better and more powerful laptops on such a regular basis it's hard to keep up. One of their latest offerings the VAIO FZ21S - Core 2 Duo T7500 2.2 GHz - 15.4" TFT really is something to behold. This laptop has the power and specifications to put some of the best desktops to shame, including X-black LCD technology reproducing amazing colour trueness. If money is no option then this is the laptop you simply must have.
As a website designer in my spare time and just generally a computer addict I put both my laptop and my desktop thoroughly through there paces and its very, very rare to find a laptop that will cope with everything I throw at it without jamming up or over heating but this little wonder breezes through it most admirably...

Sony Vaio VGN S1XP
Advantages: Light, compact, screen display
Disadvantages: Price, no floppy drive, hard to source
...I'll firstly start of with a cutdown list of the specification (I have not listed full details as they go on for ages!).
Intel® Pentium® M Processor 735 Processor, 1.70A GHz, 2 MB L2 Cache, 400 MHz FSB, Windows® XP, 13.3" Display X-black, 1200 x 800 resolution, 512Mb RAM, 60Gb hard Disk, DVD-RW, Graphic Card ATI MOBILITY RADEON 9700, 64 MB VRAM, Wireless LAN, 10/100 network, modem, 2 x USB, Memory stick slot
We had been looking for a lightweight laptop for a while, and after good advice decided to go for one of the Sony Vaio S series. After much deliberation I decided on the S1XP - the top model of the series (there are three models - S1XP, S1VP (availble only from Sony) and the S1HP (base model).
The main reason for the purchase was to have soemthing lightweight but functional for travel. A lot of laptops seem to come...

I love my Sony Vaio VGN-S2XP
Advantages: Very light, fantastic screen, good battery life
Disadvantages: 512 meg memory is a bit mean, Sony setup
...only as good as the battery life it provides. This VGN-S2XP gives me around 3.5 hours between charges.
I frequently use this laptop to watch DVD's when away from home, the screens great in wide format and the battery life will last the duration of a feature film.
Sony sets the software up in its own customised way, this didn't suit me so I scrubbed off a lot of the applications and reloaded my own versions. If you're a novice or not that picky then Sony's setup will suit you.
I got mine new on EBay for £1400, extra memory cost me £90.
Hope this helps...

Sleek and Stylish Sony Vaio
Advantages: Great price for a Sony, Highly aesthetically pleasing
Disadvantages: Gets dirty extremely easily
...I have always wanted a Sony Vaio laptop; as far as I?m concerned, there is no laptop out there that comes anywhere close to being as aesthetically pleasing and stylish as the Vaio. In white, the Sony Vaio is by far the most attractive laptop on the market, and when I saw this moderately priced white Sony Vaio sitting there for the taking, I knew that it was something that I just had to own. Macbook?s are similarly styled, however I have always preferred the Windows operating system so for me, a Macbook was not a viable option.
In the past, Sony have always priced themselves a bit out of the market by marking up their laptops at a higher cost than similar specification machines, however the VGN-N230 breaks with this tradition and has brought Sony well and truly into the budget laptop market which is great to see...

sony vaio AR88E
Advantages: massive screen
Disadvantages: large.
...This laptop is the Sony VAIO AR88E. The laptop is made mainly for gaming, watching movies on and various other entertainment needs whilst not compromising the ability to do serious work on these as well. One thing that is compromised though is the portability, entertainment laptops are made to keep at home and not really to carry about with you all the time, so whilst the specification may look good, don?t expect one of these to be very portable.
Its mainly black in colour however I like the design ho the screen top part comes over the bottom part of the laptop base slightly so that it gives a more cooler look to the laptop.
The installed ram on this laptop is great, it has a massive 2gb which is the main reason this laptop runs so fast, also its intel core 2 duo T7700 which is one of the newest processors makes this laptop run so...
