Sony Walkman 16 GB: Great media player, but not without faults...

Advantages: Large 16GB capacity, easy to use interface, easy to transfer music/pictures, superb sound quality.
Disadvantages: Incompatibility with many video formats and competitor mains/USB recharger adaptors

..."Getting Started" On the whole, I found this easy. The player comes preloaded with four music tracks and you can even set music to be automatically transferred from your computer to the Walkman. It comes with software - but to be honest I haven't felt the need to install it as I found transferring media to the player can be done quite easily without it. However, one very important fact I feel you must know is that the Walkman is "not" compatible with many formats of video files. It simply will not play most formats such as .wmv. The use of video format converting software is a must. The format I have found that it generally has no problem with is MP4, Mpeg4, AAC LC, 320:240 resolution and frame rate 30/second. Excellent Sony NWZ-A829 (16gb) MP4 Player

Advantages: sound quality, video quality, appearance, value for money, ease of use.
Disadvantages: Doesn't support a great amount of formats for playback.

I own the black version of the player, which looks great. The player has a metal casing, making it strong and durable (I have dropped it several times, and it shows no marks or chips). The screen is is said to be scratch resistant, and that holds true up until now. A slight negative is that the screen is also slightly reflective, making viewing it a tad difficult in very bright conditions. The highlight of this product is the sound quality, crisp, clean and with good levels of bass. The player also has a great equaliser so you can choose sound to suit you, and many other settings such as "clear bass" and "dynamic normalizer" to further enhance sound...

...Got the Sony NWZ-A829 a couple of days ago as a present. Up to now I've just had a cheap 2gb MP3 player. I wanted a player with a large memory capacity but didn't want an iPod. The machine is very sleek, less than a centimetre wide and looks very stylish, in shiny black. As an extra I bought the silicone case which came with a free screen protector as I was worried that it'd get scratched. I'd pleased that I did. Although given the player cost £165 it would have been nice if Sony had included one as part of the package. The screen is large and bright. The menu screen straight forward and easy to navigate. I didn't use the Sony software that came with the machine to load the music, I either used Windows Media player 11 or simply cut and paste from my hard drive to the player via the computer. Ipod Classic 16gb

Advantages: Sleek, Stylish, Great use of technology, Good sound
Disadvantages: Costly, Little hard drive space, dodgy touch screen

Personally, I have a lot of music and videos that I would like to store on my Ipod but the small 16gb hard drive just cant handle the amount of music and video I want to put on it, unlike the ipod classic which can hold up to 160gb, 10 times as much as the touch. But if you want a flashy gadget that does have high level of technology and has a fairly long battery life, and are willing to compromise on hard drive space then this is the by far the MP3 player for you, however, if space is essential for you, then the Ipod classic is the ideal MP3 player that is also easy to use....

...The Ipod touch is without a doubt the best Mp3/Mp4 player that is on the market currently in my opinion as it has so many good qualities. These qualities include the beautiful touch screen which enables quick navigation, up to 2500 songs / 20 films and thousands of pictures, internet access, hundreds of games to choose from (some already installed on the ipod) and lots of icons to choose from (stock market checks, calendar etc) which just basically makes the whole experience of having an ipod touch that little bit better. The ipod touch (16GB) version is in my opinion the best value for money at roughly £220 as it holds a lot of data yet still doesn't break the bank. ...When the Ipod touch was first advertised I thought it looked amazing and I still do. The touch screen is the next generation of technology and is the beginning of a touch generation. There are many advantages to this product and the first is of course the touch screen. It allows you to access everything very easily and you can get the hang of it very easily. After about 5 minutes of just messing about you will have found most of the features and be able to use them with ease. There are hardly any disadvantages but one that i found was that 16gb is not enough if you have a few tv shows you would like to put on. It would also be better if apple could include a case of some sort. But, i recommend this to anyone looking to invest in an iPod/MP4/MP3 player....

I was surprised at the slim body of the phone as sony ericssons in the past have been chunky. It fits very nice in the hand and looks very smart . The phone came in a really smart little red box like a cube with software for the computer,a cable,instructions, headphones and charger. I couldn't wait to use my new purchase so i plugged it in for charge and turnt it on and it already had half a battery which was a very nice thing if you want your new phone straight away. ...things. These apps range from Free in price to a few pounds depending on the app. You download it with one touch of the button and thats it. you dont need to be a computer whizz to use this ipod. Thats the beauty of it. Its very simple yet very high tech. The 16 gb memory allows for an impressive music collection to be stored on here. However remember that any apps and movies and photos also use up memory space though less. I always seem to be using this product for whatever, there is so much you can do with this devise. Its basically the iphone without the phone or camera. I recommend one for anyone. Its easy to use and has something for everyone....
