...Sony Sports Walkman 1 GB Silver This Sony mp3 player was designed to be used whilst participating in sport. Sony has defiantly achieved their goal, as this mp3 player is perfect in every which way. I use mp3 Sony mp3 player when I go to the gym or go out for a run. With 80 GB iPods on the market some people may think 1 GB of memory is no a lot. If you want better memory then you can buy a 2 GB version, which come in black. I have never had any problems with my Sony mp3 player. The sound quality is very high and the mp3 player its self is very durable. I have dropped this mp3 player many times and it still works perfectly. This mp3 player is very simple and easy to use. The battery life is good and usually lasts about 8 hours with music playback. ...i owned a 'new walkman' for around 2 years.the start of my experience was ok with it , battery life was really long as i wanted as i used it for work,it was durable and it could hold as many songs as i could come up with to put on it. the first operating system with it was ' connect player' which took ages to drop songs onto it because it converted them into its own format which was annoying ! then around 5 months ago i receved a message that song were dis continuing connect and using 'sonic stage ' so more hassle on the way, then on the way home i accidently dropped my walkman and it worked fine i carried on putting songs on until it crashed ! so did sonic stage and so did connect ! so i give in with mine and im saving for a good one this time ! ...I bought this mp3 player about 2 years ago and overall it has been a good experience. (+) Excellent battery life, was a good sized hard drive but now 20gb seems quite small, bear in mind that only music can be played so no big movies taking up space. Quick to be charged. Replaceable battery so if it does ever run out you can whack in a spare. (-) No iPod in terms of looks. Two Tone display so pretty basic. Sonic Stage is absolutely dire, sony really need to sort it out to compete with apple. But once the music is on the device its all fine. If you have a lot of music then it can become quite difficult to search through it. Definitely worth the money 2 years ago. Now you can do better. MP3 players are always compared to iPods and although its good, its not good enough to replace the iPod. Try harder sony.... Read review

...I bought this a while ago, sometime after I sold my iPod, as I wanted a good sized drive for all my music and something nice and compact to take camping with me or use in the car. This Walkman does ticks all of those boxes. I had a, now obsolete, iPod Mini with 2GB storage, and this for a lot cheaper has 6GB and looks a lot more stylish with it's bright white screen underneath the plastic casing - which is a very attractive design feature. The main buttons include a menu button, a 5 way navigation button with 4 arrows and a middle enter/play button and a back button. There is also a hold button on the top and an 'artist link' button (exclusive to Sony walkmans) on the left side of the walkman. ...I actually bought this player at Christmas for my son, and I have to say, I wanted to keep it for myself. The players come in several trendy colours Black, Silver, Pink and Violet. The violet one being the one I have. The look and feel of the player is the thing that draws you to it, as it just seems to give you that quality feeling, as it comfortably sits into the palm of your hand. The sound quality is excellent, although it is restricted,and the 6 GB space is more than enough for anyone. The 6 GB is actually a small hard disk as opposed to solid state or flash. The imformation display seems to be part of the players actual casing, as the displayed information seems to radiate through the surface. Which again adds to the quality feel. Advantages: Dynamic playlists, high quality audio, great headphones, cool design, easily fixed and calendars/dates.
Disadvantages: Dodgy sound-toggler, headphones can break in heavy usage conditions.

...This MP3 player is THE BEST MP3 player I have ever had. The sound quality is crystal-clear, it can support over 2MBit/s audio AND it's a fancy design :) However, it does come with its flaws. The sound-toggler on the side of it comes off quite easily, and does hook back on but becomes a nuisance. This problem was resolved easily by Sony through Argos (where I purchased mine.) The headphones (Beautiful!) unfortunately broke due to heavy-usage, however they also resolved that when I sent it back. On a brighter note, it can store 5 Playlists, and lots of DYNAMIC playlists (You can create dynamic playlists on the computer, and they have functions such as "Play for 2 hours" or "Play 20 songs").
