Advantages: Lightweight, compact, nice style screen, good battery life
Disadvantages: Can get grubby, software is a let down, substandard earphones
...The Sony Walkman NW-E003 series comes in a series of colours: black, blue, pink and purple, silver and green; and in a variety of sizes: 512mb, 1gb and 2gb. I bought mine on the play.com website where I picked up the 1gb version for an amazing special price of £40. These are supposed to retail at about £69.99. I was really impressed when it finally came after a few days.
********PACKAGING AND FACTS**********
The packaging came in not a stuffy old box, but in an interesting plastic package with the unit in the middle - I thought it was a picture as I couldn't believe it was that small? But it was! I was really impressed and some of the facts and figures that were dotted around the packaging impressed me further - it reads:
"3 minute charge = 3 hours playback"
"Holds up to 685 songs"
Now for a 1gb mp3 player that tiny in size...

Sony Walkman Walk's Along With You
Advantages: Great sound quality, compact, neat design
Disadvantages: Not many features, quite pricey, may not be very comfortable
...I love the technology we have available nowadays there is so much on the market, but sometimes it is difficult to know what to choose. If you are looking for a new Walk-man then you cannot go far wrong with The Sony W-Series Walk-man. It has an innovative, slimline design that takes the Walk-man to a new level. You get a pair of ear buds, but incorporated into them is an MP3 player. The result is a lightweight Walk man that is easy to carry around anywhere you go. When you purchase the Walk-man you may have trouble believing that such a good sound system can come from something so small. Well... they say that the best things come in small packages and it is certainly true in this case.
It is such a simple Walk-man to use and Sony provides an original feature for browsing songs which is an added bonus.
Although there are plenty...

sony ericsson W995 Walkman top of the pops
Advantages: WiFi, navigation device, massive storage, top of the range camera at 8.1mp.
Disadvantages: small buttons, drifts in and out of internet and wap, slide up front so gets scratched easy
...I have had this Sony for about 4 weeks and I must say its an improvement on my last model (w850i) the WiFi option allow me to connect at home and watch BBC iplayer which is located as a fuction on the menu. You download from iplayer and store on the phons 8GB memeroy card which is very handy as it will save you money on any internet charges by your network provider. One slight downside is I find the buttons a bit small and do have trouble sending text messages, that aside the fictional side of the phone is good and an improvement on my previous model (w850i). The big features on this phone are the walkman and the 8.1 mega pixel camera. The camera wow!! Has great focus and superb quality but has not change any real features since my w850I. The walkman become a real replacement for any ipod as the 8GB card gives a huge amount of storage...

Sony Walkman w810i
Advantages: Camera/MP3 Player/Phone/Organiser - All in one!
Disadvantages: A few minors in software but nothing major
...The new Sony Walkman w810i is a new model in the w800 range, and has numerous changes from its previous model - the w800i. The changes are clear in the design of the new phone, as well as functionality and the software driving the machine.
To start with, the aesthetics have been greatly improved - in my opinion - as the black is sleek with the cool orange and silver buttons on either side makes it really eye-catching.
A major change is the loss of the joy-stick feel with the navigation system, and instead created a D-pad which is pressable. Personally this is a great improvement, as they previous joy-stick nav was far too flimsy when trying to flip through photos/songs quickly.
The phone, although has many improvements, has one down fall, which is that it does not have a camera-cover. This may seem like an improvement...

Sony Ericsson W910i Walkman Mobile Phone
Advantages: Looks great, sounds great, nice features!
Disadvantages: Average camera, reported technical issues!
...Having recently been eligible for a free phone upgrade through my network provider, I opted for the Sony Ericsson W910i walkman mobile phone. I have owned several Sony Ericsson phones over the past few years, and have become quite a big fan of their phones. My tariff is reasonably low, so I wasn't eligible for a top of the range model without having to pay something towards it, so the W910i seemed the better choice of an average range of free phones I was offered.
For pure looks, the W910i is a joy to look at, and in my opinion is up there with the best of them. The W910i is a slide phone, and it comes in a super-slim, sleek black design, with a smooth, smart metal outer-frame. When closed, the phone displays a nice brushed aluminium circular navigation panel, which is easy to use, and a vast improvement to the joystick control on my...

Sony walkman NWZ-A816 4GB
Advantages: Sleek design, and massive performance in general
Disadvantages: screen size, lack of playlist creator function
...I have owned this walkman model since Jan08 and think it is fantastic. I find it hard to believe that ipod out-sell sony to such an extent when sony are delivering such good walkmans. To begin with, the sony walkmans have a far superior sound capability. With such features as DSEE sound enhancement, "clear stereo," VTP surround and the dynamic normaliser available to enhance the all round quality of the tracks you listen to, ipod cannot compare. Also, the screen on the walkman has a crystal clear resolution. I would go as far to say that combined with the sound quality, I could become absorbed in a movie whilst watching it on the walkman - provided there were no glaring distractions! Therefore, it really does become a great travel companion. Finally, the earphones have been designed to perfection, with the only downfall being the lack...

Sony Walkman NW-E005
Advantages: Easy use - Simple, and USB attatchment
Disadvantages: Sonic Stage (program supplied)
...The Sony Walkman NW-E005
Available in a wide variety of colours- violet, black, silver and pink as far as i am aware of! It has a choice of 512MB (which approximately stores 250 songs), 1GB (500 songs), 2GB (1,000 songs).
It is a compact small and convienient shape, and can easily be carried around in a handbag or whilst participating in sport activities (expect for swimming i should add!).
Features of the Product
On top of the standard basics of an mp3 player, i have also found other useful funtions -
Sound
The control is simple and increadibly easy, with a simple location on the back of the player, in options there is an extensive range of adjustments that can be made to the sound emitted - . One handy function i find handy is the avls, which prevents the increase of the volume up to a certain point where it may no...

Sony Walkman NWZ-A816 review
Advantages: Great sound quality and video playback with adequete compatibility.
Disadvantages: Timevault shuffle mode is unnescecary as is picture playback.
...I recently purchased this mp3 player from dixons and I was amazed by how good it is. The interface is unclutered and very easy to navigate. It has the equivalent screen of an ipod nano.(320X240 2.2in) The video playback is a stunning 30 f.p.s. and is easy to watch(MP4 supported). However as with most players it struggles for brightness in direct sunlight. The picture display function is adequate but I don't bother with it, its easier to use a phone for that. The most important feature however is music, the quality is excellent at the standard 128kbps mp3. It has a wider range of compatibility than the ipod range including wma, mp3, AAC, and WMP. The supplied headphones, while looking alittle weird provide superb sound and comfort. The bonus of these is you don't have to rush out and buy another pair (adding cost to what seemed like...

WALKMAN - OUTSTANDING!
Advantages: FANTASTIC MP3 PLAYER
Disadvantages: Some may have difficulties!
...The Sony Erricson Walkman W810i phone is amazing. Before owning this I had the rubbish Motorola L6, and upgrading so much was amazing. I had so much more to do on my phone now. You may see alot of people with it, that might show that it is so good. I bought my W810i from Carphone Warehouse back in January 2007, at £140, and it is still working perfectly with no faults.
This phone has some great features, which most phones fail to achieve. The high quality screen shows excellent photographs and videos, and puts other phones to shame. Even the stop watch and countdown timer which are normally useless features on other phones. On this phone, they are good fun to use. Clear picture and great quality sound, unlike my previous phone. The camera is 2.0 Megapixels, which is very good for a mobile phone. I think 2.0 Megapixels is great for me...

Sony Walkman - small AND perfectly formed
Advantages: Small, stylish and easy to use
Disadvantages: No case available
...After my iPod mini finally gave up after a year or so of misbehaving I was suffering going to the gym without an mp3. As my birthday was coming up I had started spreading the word (well, I had told bf) about what type of mp3 I would like just in case somebody would consider buying me one. The most important aspect was that it was NOT another iPod as I, and everybody I know who's had one, had had so many problems with it. I also wanted one that was easy to use, which could be dropped without breaking (as I'm a bit clumsy and not very careful with my things) and preferably also pretty and shiny.
Guess what I got for my birthday? A lovely shiny and new Sony mp3 - the NW-A805 in black. I couldn't wait to try it out as I had been without music for so long and decided to get started by installing the software SonicStage, which is for music...
