So much more than an mp3 player

Advantages: A total all-round winner; I can't recommend it more!
Disadvantages: Big fat zero.

...software which resizes DVD files into much smaller files that take up hardly any room (I currently have the Tenacious D movie on mine, which only took up about 200mb) and the movie quality is fantastic; although the screen is a little bit on the wee side it's crystal clear and once your eyes get used to the screen size it's like watching it on tv. I also have some home movie files from my digital camera and tons of photos, although check the format of the files before you add so you can re-format if you need to. All in all, I'm sure you can tell I'm extremely happy with my Walkman. I love it to pieces, carry it everywhere and now have a constant soundtrack to my life thanks to the great battery capacity. ...I recently needed to upgrade my phone, I have the LG viewty and had endless problems. I'd had many Sony Ericsson phones in the past and love having a phone that can store lots of data, so thought the W910i would be ideal. Sadly not. The phone is easy to use and very easy to upload music and pictures on to. The problem was it kept switching itself off. Nothing specific would set it off, although if you placed it on a hard surface quietly hard it did turn off then, it would switch off during calls, listening music and sometimes for no reason what so ever. I did request a replacement and got this a few days later, sadly the problem continued. I spoke with several friends and found they'd also had similar problems which could not be explained. ...The new Sony Walkman w810i is a new model in the w800 range, and has numerous changes from its previous model - the w800i. The changes are clear in the design of the new phone, as well as functionality and the software driving the machine. To start with, the aesthetics have been greatly improved - in my opinion - as the black is sleek with the cool orange and silver buttons on either side makes it really eye-catching. A major change is the loss of the joy-stick feel with the navigation system, and instead created a D-pad which is pressable. Personally this is a great improvement, as they previous joy-stick nav was far too flimsy when trying to flip through photos/songs quickly. ...I upgraded my phone back in December last year. I am usually a Nokia girl but I really wanted a Walkman phone so decided to go for the Sony Ericsson W910i. Basically I wish I had stuck to my trusty Nokia. During the first month or two of having the phone it was great and I didn't have any problems with it at all. However after about 4 months I was unable to send/receive or even open my text messages. After speaking to Vodafone they told me that it is a common problem with the phones software and I had to download an update to my phone. Thankfully this did solve the text message issue, but upgrading the software causes the phone to reset, so I ended up losing all the saved text messages and any phone numbers that were stored on the phone rather than the Sim card.
